Hvac Repair reviews in Coventry

Our furnace failed completely in November 2017 setting off our COM sensors and sending alarms to the fire department. I called several different resources to try and find a solution and finally settled on Aiello. They were fast, knowledgeable and professional. They explained things so we could make the best choices and when there was a miscommunication theyade it right. So when our AC failed during the hottest time of the year I called them again. They were prompt, easy to work with and fair in price. Our house have never felt so warm when needed or cool when needed. And it's done right and looks good. I would recommend them and will be using them again.

Salesman was excellent and very helpful.  Workmen were polite, clean, and professional.  They cleaned up after themselves and answered all questions.   The office was also helpful in getting us Energize CT rebates and financing.  Thrilled with operation of units.  I know it's been a warm Fall, but we haven't turned on our oil burner yet this year.  No reservations, I would contact and us them again.

Fantastic service!  Partner is disabled with a medical condition requiring consistent temps in the house, and when the a/c stopped working and the temp in the house began climbing, his condition began to deteriorate.
By the time we finally realized that the a/c was running -- but not cooling the air or removing the humidity any longer -- the temp in the house was up to 82 degrees.
I checked Angie's List, saw the excellent ratings for Nutmeg Mechanical, and was promised they'd be there "in a bit".  When I asked if they'd be here the same day, I was assured they would be, and it was only about 35 minutes later when the truck pulled into our driveway.  I was amazed at how quickly they sent someone out.
Joe is the person who got our a/c running again.  We have no idea whether the price was good or bad because this is the first time in 14 years our a/c has ever needed a repair, and we did not have the luxury of calling around to get price quotes.  We got the 15% Angie's List discount and were completely impressed with how professional and competent Joe was as he went about fixing our central air.
We would call these people again in a heartbeat.   Cannot recommend them enough.

This was simply an unscheduled delivery when I discovered my level was very low, and they delivered the next day, but I've used Trinks Brothers for several years and have always found them prompt, professional and reasonably priced. Their furnace technicians are great, veryfriendly and always clean up after themselves. I'd strongly recommend them.

The technicians arrived a little early. They were professional and courteous. They diagnosed the problem very quickly (heating coil screws loose) and made the repair (tighten them).

Given that the repair took less than 2 minutes, I was hoping to pay just the service/diagnostic charge ($69) but they also tacked on the standard labor rate ($77). Given the amount of work involved, I felt it was expensive - but consistent with what they quoted when I scheduled the visit (service charge + labor + parts).

The fuel price is comparable to others' -- not cheap, but probably worth it as opposed to having to shop around to save $10 per tank on a pay-as-you call basis. The service plan has good and bad aspects. To the good, we have had some repairs that are cheerfully covered. To the bad, they seem to need reminding each time we want our annual furnace cleaning. Also, they have a tendency (it's happened at least twice) to need to come back to shut off (or turn on) a valve. But, hey, we're still customers.

I called to get information on them as a possible new oil supplier, and they offered to send someone out to talk to me personally. They came out that day, within half hour or so from my initial phone call with contract information. They spent about an hour looking over the oil tank and furnace and talking about what they offer in types of contracts. They had two major incentives: First, they perform a complimentary yearly furnace cleaning, and second, their price was 20 cents lower than their competitors and they offered an additional 5 cent reduction on the first fill-up. After the contract was signed, they were out the next day to fill the tank and within a week they came out to clean the furnace. The furnace cleaning took about 45 minutes and after the cleaning, he took time to explain what he had done. He found a water leak, a slow drip in the pipe, which he fixed and then proceeded to clean and seal the rust so we would not have ongoing issues.

We were signed up for automatic fill ups and for several years were good about filling our tank every 3 or 4 months without issue. Then in August, my husband took a cold shower and wondered what happened to the heat. We investigated and found that our 275-gallon tank was completely empty. We do not check this as they have always come out and filled the tank. When I called to find out why they hadn't come out, they informed me that they found that some people did not want automatic fill-ups so they were not always performing this service unless we let them know that we wanted this service continued. They had failed to inform us of this change, however so we were left without oil. While they came out and put oil in the tank, this was the last straw for us. They had never been very efficient about sending bills; we had one fill that they made in January for which we did not receive a bill until late May (which had late charges attached), making finances and budgeting difficult. When they cleaned our furnace, it smoked afterwards.

I was very pleased with this company. The salesperson returned my calls within a few days. The office staff person, Candy, was personable, efficient and helpful. The person who came out to give me an estimate was on time, thorough and personable. The service person who did the work, Mike, was also on time and thorough. He handled a bit of a difficult job with an excellent attitude. His completed work was very professional looking and he left the job area extremely clean. He assembled the fire log set and arranged the "coals" in an attractive way. Finally, he spent the time I need to familiar myself with how to use the controls and shutoffs. Candy called me several days after the job was complete to make sure I was satisfied with the work done.

Service person who came out was very nice and informative. Decided to hire company and called to set up an appointment. I never received a call back, despite the fact that I called several times. For that reason alone, I would not recommend this company.
