  • Started with an assessment from Eric, then Joette walked me through financing and scheduling, then the tree crew came, then the brush and vine removal, clean up, grading and seeding and we had a beautiful and safe new yard to love and be able to maintain. Crews were awesome: professional, friendly, knowledgeable, highly skilled, hard working, accommodating...just amazing. We watched an incredible transformation of an overgrown and unmanageable space with dead trees covered with invasive vine that had suffered years of neglect turned back into a yard....a place we will be able to maintain, enjoy and feel proud to live here again. Was definitely the right company to go with for us. Again, amazing transformation, awesome customer service, skilled, knowledgeable, and hard working people whom we can't say enough about. The process and end result was wow,..... just wow!!

  • Outstanding 2 days work by group of professional people. Foreman in touch with me throughout the project. These people really know their business. I would highly recommend them and will use them again in the future for any further jobs.

  • I had a very positive experience with CJs Landscaping. They were very professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. I veiwed the job that I had as "large and unpleasant" it was a lot of heavy and dirty labor and I was unsure I could get a company to want to handle it without trying to charge me tons of money.
To my surprise, Collin from CJ's confidently said "sure, we can take care of that for you" and quoted me a fair price. The job involved pulling up a lot of overgrowth - weeds, sapling, leaves, rocks, wood, even poisen ivy and oak. Collin from CJs was skilled at this work as well as all design aspects of lanscaping and gardening
The results were beyond my expectations. The yard looked beautiful. Cjs took pride in their work and customer service was very important to them. There was nothing to complain about - CJs was very detail oriented and quick too.
I have already re-hired these guys to continue with my landscaping and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a reliable, skilled and personable company.

  • The jobs were done exactly as we discussed, suggestions were voiced by both Bob and us and we always come to agreements. As soon as the snow clears they will be here for spring clean up and any additional work we may need. They will do all the fertilizing that the blueberries need and keep that area weed free. In the spring they will put up the  getting and in the fall they will take it down. We plan on having them redo all landscaping and maintain the yard all summer. The workers are friendly and easy to discuss any additional suggestions we may have. After trying three other services we  are grateful we finally found a landscaping and yard and lawn service that we are happy with.

  • Justin and his crew did a fabulous job.  I've never had a contractor who I felt did everything exactly as I think it should have been done, but Justin did.  He and his guys are extremely hard workers and didn't stop to take a break the entire 1st day.  They were all very polite, accomodating and couldn't have been more thankful when I gave them coffee and danish.  I'm very impressed with their dedication.  I'm sure he's going to be very busy this spring so if you don't get a hold of him immediately, be patient, he's worth the wait!

  • I contacted Eric by email and he got back to me back by phone in minutes. He scheduled the service for the next day, number two in the work list. His team arrived around 10:30AM and set to work. Eric had estimated about a four-hour job with his crew of three. It was soon obvious, based on the amount of ice under the snow, that the job would take much longer. The team worked non-stop for 6 hours, bringing down all the snow (the easy part) then working on the ice. Huge areas of ice 4-5 inches thick were removed from nearly all of our large south-facing roof, with smaller amounts seen on all roof areas. I can't even imagine the amount of damage that would have happened if Eric and his team hadn't done this work!

As always, Eric and his entire team (some of whom I had met when we had some trees removed) were professional, courteous, and safe. I highly recommend this company!

  • I hired TurfMasters after a recommendation by my sister. Unlike another company that merely used satellite pictures of my property to give me a quote, they sent a person out to evaluate my lawn and discuss what I wanted to accomplish, and then sent me a a quote with different options and payment plans. I have the season long treatment with grub control and end of season aeration and seeding. By the end of the season I was seeing a big difference in my lawn. The grass is stronger, more lush, and stayed greener even during dry periods. The aeration quote was originally more than I could afford, but they worked with my budget and serviced only the more visible parts of my yard to keep the cost down. The service is dependable and very efficient, with a detailed recommendation about how to treat my lawn after each treatment. Also, they provide information about other services (I.e. tick treatment) but without the hard sell. Every person with whom I dealt was professional and polite.

  • I have a decent size home with approximately 250 lineal feet of gutters. Because of the slope of my yard, a couple of places (ground to roof) exceeds 30 feet in height, meaning I?m pretty wary of cleaning my gutters myself.  A year or so after I had the house built I installed my own plastic gutter guards, but had to pay a handyman to install them on the highest part of my roof as my ladder wouldn't reach.  The guards worked pretty well for a while until the sun made them brittle. They seemed to be designed well, but after a couple of years even those began to clog.
To make a very long story short, I began researching gutter guards again recently and gathered feedback from everywhere including a leading consumer product testing magazine and a zillion internet reviews.  Finally I looked on Angie?s list for a reputable installer. Based on many positive reviews, I contacted Wood and Wood for a quote for both gutter cleaning as well as a gutter guard system.  Wood and Wood uses ?Evelyn?s Leaf Solution? gutter guards and included a one foot section of the guard with their quote. I was very impressed with the sample they sent me and tried to clog it while running water and debris over it in my kitchen sink. Evelyn?s gutter guard is so well designed that I?m hard pressed to see how it could ever clog, short of pouring liquid tar over it.  The metal (top screen) mesh has holes so small that even shingle grit can?t pass through, yet water easily does.
Wood and Wood quoted me $2500 to remove my old guards, clean my gutters and downspouts and install Evelyn?s Leaf solution on my whole gutter system.  It comes with a 5 year guarantee.  Because I?m an Angie?s list member they took off $300, my net cost being $2200.  The earliest appointment they had was 2 weeks later, but I was scheduled to be out of state.  I had them come during that time anyway and was sure that my outside faucets were turned on for them.  Wood and Wood did an absolutely fantastic job for me.  The gutter guards are working perfectly.  A few weeks prior to their installation, I had solar panels installed on my roof and as a result some of granules from the roof shingles were loosened.  I checked out the guards after a heavy rain, and in one spot where my roofs converge, there was a small pile of granules sitting on top of my new gutter guards ? proving they worked as designed.
Wood and Wood did a great job for me and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The discount they gave me for being an Angie?s list member paid for my membership several times over.  I highly recommend Wood and Wood and the Evelyn?s Leaf Solution system.

  • Installed new gutters and downspouts and fixed a couple of issues on existing gutters.  They showed up on time and the job was completed quickly.  They did an excellent job.  I would hire them again.

  • Eric is the soul of professionalism. And his team is responsive (I needed to increase the scope of the job after a couple of trees were removed, and they went ahead without question), careful and highly trained and equipped. Throughout the job (it took two days) they kept the yard safe and looking clean, and except for some sprinklings of drift sawdust, you'd never know that they had been here. The price was a very pleasant surprise; to say it was reasonable for the number of trees removed is a gross understatement. My husband and I feel lucky, indeed, to have responded to Eric's signs around town.
