    Doug was incredible and his shop did top notch work. But much more than that, he made the entire process as easy and convenient as such an experience can be. All I had to do was call my insurance company and start a claim, and Doug took over from there. He handled all the dealings with the insurance company and arranged my rental car. Basically, I dropped my car at his shop and drove away in my rental . . . and returned 3 days later to drop off the rental and pick up my beautifully repaired car. Zero hassles of any kind. And he squeezed me in in a week before I left for travel.
    But much more than that is his attitude and integrity. Doug's excellent service is rooted in his honest, ethical personality, hard work and pride in his work and service. He is driven to satisfy his customers and make their experience as painless and hassle-free as possible. I've dealt with more than a few body shops over many decades, and never have had an experience quite like this. And as I said, their work is top notch. My car looks like new, and he has contacted me twice since to see if I'm still satisfied with the job.
    It is a delight to deal with a business that still word the old fashioned way. Honest, ethical, great work and firmly rooted in the community, with personal and professional relationships. If your car needs body work, and you want excellent work with minimum hassle, call Theroux. This business has my highest recommendation!!!!

    It is basically one of those family owned small shop like three employees and they are just fantastic. I am driving a $67000 truck that I would not allow Ford Motor company to touch and these boys take care of it perfectly on a third of the price. I wouldn't take it anywhere else. They are honest people. They picked me up at work. They come take my car up and take it in and then they bring it back. Its unbelievable. This is a shop that has got three employees.

    Our salesman was nice and the experience was fine, but we told them that we had to be out of there by 1:00pm. I told him that we had to be out of there because we had plans, and he said no problem. Kept telling us that finance was pulling up our information...FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF.
    We were there from 10am until 2:30pm. Missed our Broadway show. And the salesman lied to us about how long it would take. Awful. Just awful.

    I have used Hammonasset Ford several times for my 2003 Mustang and my 2005 Jaguar X-type. They have a first class service department and always take the time to explain any out of the ordinary repairs in detail that you can understand.

    The service is excellent from scheduling online to the friendly reception to the quality work. We buy our cars there and they offered free tire replacement for the life of our car. So this time when we went in we got 4 new tires for the price of a wheel alignment.

    Todd served as my mechanic until I purchased a vehicle with a warranty. I went to him after he helped me by writing a letter outlining fraudulent work that was done on my vehicle. He has worked on both foreign and domestic vehicles I owned and the work was always done right (and done right the first time). He answered my at times naïve questions without being condescending and would fit typically fit me into his schedule when it was an issue with brakes or other times when I may have been concerned (overly) with the safety of the vehicles. His prices were always fair and often lower than other competitors. I couldn't have been more pleased with the work he has done and I recommend him to anyone interested in honest work.

    I approached the service advisor's desk, but it took several seconds for him to look up and even acknowledge me.  I had made my appointment on line and described everything that I needed to have done, but it was immediately clear to me that he did not have any of that information on his computer so I recited my requests just as I had typed them out when making the appointment: 
    10,000 mile interval service
    Terrible shake at highway speeds
    Breaks shake when slowing at highway speeds.
    He asked if there was anything else, so I threw in the detailing that was still not done.  He told me it had been detailed twice already according to his records but I assured him that was not the case.  After getting a manager involved it was decided that I was indeed still owed a detailing and it would be done with the other requested services.
    Enterprise picked me up and I settled with them out of pocket to get a vehicle while mine was being serviced.
    The following day I received a call that my car was all set and I could pick it up any time.   
    The first thing that was abundantly clear to me when I picked up my car was that IT HAD NOT BEEN DETAILED.  I went back inside and found my service advisor and invited him to come look at my car with me.  He assured me it had indeed been detailed and marched off to find the manager we had spoken to previously.  Apparently the manager was indisposed so the advisor begrudgingly came outside with me.  Sure enough, there was no disputing that my car had in fact NOT BEEN DETAILED.  He gave me a "gift certificate" for a free detailing.  Terrific.
    I leftStephen Automall and started my way to work.  After driving a few miles my car began shaking just as it had before I brought the car in.  I glanced up at the oil change sticker on my windshield and saw it was the very same sticker I had brought the car in with.  The shake was not fixed, and the 10,000 mile interval service was not done.  Unbelievable.
    When I arrived at work I called to speak to the service advisor.  I told him what I had discovered in the twenty minutes between leaving there and arriving at my job.  I was put on hold a few times, and again it was determined that THE 10,000 MILE INTERVAL SERVICE WAS NOT DONE, and THE SHAKE WAS NOT FIXED.  I have paid $160 plus a rental at this point.
    I made an appointment to bring the car back in the following week.
    I sat with a different service advisor this time.  I gave her a brief synopsis of what I expected from this appointment, but she, too, was very condescending.  She said my vehicle doesn't get 10,000 mile interval services, it gets 5,000 mile interval services.  I told her I would kindly like a 5,000 mile interval service then, but showed her the letter Stephen Automall sent me saying my car was in need of a 10,000 mile service.  She acted bewildered and I moved on.
    I agreed to go for a test drive with a service technician to validate the mysterious shake no one seemed to feel the week before. I loaded my almost-three year old (who was with me for the initial appointment and for this appointment.  Having a fidgety toddler adds ten fold to the stress of this, by the way) into the car and hopped into the passenger seat to let the tech experience it for himself.  Sure enough, when we got to the highway the car began vibrating rather violently and there was absolutely no denying that there was a shake.  We agreed that it felt like the tire was going to fly off, even though we both knew that wasn?t the case.  The tech was courteous, friendly, and professional, by the way.  The only person I interacted with at Stephen who fit that description.
    It has been determined that it's a problem with the transmission - something that is covered under warranty, but I have to bring the car to a Nissan dealership to have it fixed.  Why didn't I bring it to a Nissan dealership from the beginning you ask?  Because I purchased the car from Stephen Automall and was owed service.  I will NOT be going back to them for anything but the detailing I am still owed.  I recommend steering clear of Stephen Automall.  They are condescending and inept - a disastrous combination.

    Update: 9/10/13
    As it turns out, the issue with my vehicle has nothing to do with the transmission.  It has a torn CV boot, a repair that will be putting me out another $600.  Shame on you Stephen Automall.  Shame on you.

    As always, service was truly excellent. However, this time was an example of how great Automotive Edge really is... Friday morning at 8:30, a day before I was leaving to drive for vacation, I noticed the starting problem with the car. I called Chris at Auto Edge on a day that I knew was going to be busy at his shop. I explained the problem and he said, sure bring it in. So I did. I arrived at the busy waiting room, handed over the key, and asked if I could wait. In less than an hour, my car was done (new battery... the old one had a dead cell).
    The real message here is that Automotive Edge is always busy because folks in our town know that this is the best auto service in the area. You need to make an appointment to get service. But, when you have one of the small, annoying car emergencies, the team at Auto Edge will find a way to help you.
    Automotive Edge really is among the best place for honest, dependable, fair service. The best compliment I can pay them is that I trust them. Always have.
