    Agile Construction and Home Improvement
Rafael was able to give us a quote the same day we contacted him. Hes professional and responds quickly to texts/messages. Were very happy with our new shower/tub and would work with him again in the future.

    PerfectView Remodeling LLC
We contracted PerfectView after gaining estimates from them as well as two other companies. We selected them after detailed discussions with both Louis and Ruth. Their knowledge and straight forward approach allowed us to zero in on the best solutions for our two bathrooms while hitting our budget targets. PerfectView was the by far the best value because they have captive, talented, folks doing the demolition, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and tiling work, while working seamlessly with us as we separately hired the custom cabinet, granite, and the heavy glass guys. Ruths keen design eye and her suggestions were very helpful in selecting the fixtures, tiles, mosaics, and contributed greatly to the final product. Our bathrooms came out spectacular. A special thanks to Matt & Gary for their outstanding tile work. PerfectView is a talented, well managed, small company and we would definitely use them again.

    Lyman Kitchens
The contractors seemed very knowledgeable. The designer also had some good ideas. It seemed thorough. I went to their showroom and saw some examples of the kitchen. I like the materials there. I think the cost was well worth it. Got some design pictures and seemed pretty prompt.

    Fantastic Kitchens By George
These guys are great. Their subs are very good. George listens and understands. The closets and kitchen cabinets were just what we wanted and he did not try and up sell us. Both Stephen and George are easy to work with and very dependable. Very flexible as well with regard to my endless tweaking of the project (meaning I kept adding things) and it all was completed within two weeks of when I expected, including the additional work I requested. We picked out the tile, flooring etc, and George arranged to pick it up. It was, all in all, a very organized, professional job.

    Richard J. Ventura
This is the second major job Rick Ventura has done for us, as well as a kitchen remodel for my in laws.
There are few people I have met whom I recommend without reservation and he is in that select few. Met him by way of Angies List due to his great reviews. This review is a bit overdue as he basically spent the entire summer of 2014 doing this extensive remodel for us at a home we purchased in Canton. it was a complicated job because the house had some unsual characteristics. It is built on a rocky ledge so has a minimal crawl space basement, no attic due to vaulted ceilings, and the great room/kitchen is a vaulted hexagon, with a center large hexagon fire place.
He basically redid the entire space as described above, with the challenges of odd angles, creating walls of glass with very large windows, structural changes to the walls, paneled ceiling, installing beams, lots of hardwood floors that had to accomodate the hex shape of the room and the hex of the large center fireplace.
Bottom line, it is beautiful and I don't think anyone could have done it better.Like something you see in an architechural magazine.  Have moved in and living in it for the past 4 months, and all the work is completly solid. I travel a lot for work, and no problem letting Rick and his crew just do their thing without you there
He is great to work with, it pains me to see the couple of negative reviews because he did not get back to a couple of folks with a quote. If there is one fault to him, it is that he is in high demand because of his work product, and I suspect it is difficult for him to effectively field all the requests for jobs that he receives.

If you are serious about wanting quality work at a fair price, then be persistent, but understand he does the work himself and he runs a tight small crew. He is not subcontracting out the work to god knows who like the guy who can show up tomorrow to give you a quote.
He made our house look stunning.
If you want it done right with an honest contractor, he is it. Am hoping to have him back this year for phase II.

    Renew Custom Kitchen & Bath
well the price was high but the windows looked good during the sales pitch
work was done but for the price all they did was install the window and not put the siding back on the house for the cost that wasn't stated up front.
paper work only stated a generic brand window no manufacturer name.
Could go on but now one of the windows is broken and needs to be repaired and this company is no longer in business.

Carson Richard Kitchen And Bath Designs
The project went very well. We had just the right number of options to choose from so that we weren't overwhelmed. The crew was wonderful; they were very professional , they worked efficiently, and  they kept us informed of their progress. They were great about giving us choices at all phases of the project and they gave excellent advice about modifying some of the choices we had made, which improved the final product. We love the new bathroom..

    Richard J. Ventura
First off..Rick Ventura and his company is EXCELLENT, recommend him without any reservations. He worked with us to remodel a 1200 sf house we bought in foreclosure that needed a complete overhaul. Attached are some before and after pics so you can get an idea of how extensive the remodel on the inside was. Prior to Rick coming onboard, we already had the roof, siding and windows replaced. His focus was the interior rebuilding.
Very professional, I picked him from Angies List and did not know him prior. He spent most of the summer 2013 working with us, and unlike many contractors, he gives you accurate and realistic time lines and stuck to them. He ended up doing way more than we initially contracted with him for, and cannot express how grateful we are to him for sticking with the job as it expanded.
There were some points he had to dedicate days, or a week to another job, but he utilizes his coworkers well and communicates well to let you know where things are at.  Again, we ended up asking him to do far more add on work than the original contract and he was super accomodating. The kitchen came from Home Depot, and the installers screwed up so it was going to be delayed for 3 weeks...We asked Rick and he installed them, came out beautiful including the trim to the ceiling.
He tends to call you each day when he is leaving the job to give an update which is nice.
We moved into the house in September 2013, just love it, and everything Rick did is working well. Our friends think it looks like a before and after HGTV show...
I have absolutly nothing on the downside to mention about Rick Ventura. I would recommend planning ahead if you are considering him for a project because he is in high demand due to the quality of how he operates.
Looking forward to having him back soon to finish the basement and deck.

    Bill Kapura Building Contractors Inc
I was not particularly pleased with the particular individual that was assigned to be my project manager. He was not attending to details. On many days he would tell me what would happen on a certain day and when it didn't happen he would never call me. It wasn't until I called him to find what was happening. I would never choose that person as an individual to be my project manager from Kapura again. A lot of delay in stretching out, was due to him and he made mistakes to cost his company a fair amount of money on this job. When he wooded the floor, I had already showed him the sample and I had the numbers on it. Somehow when the floor came back it was the wrong floor, it was the same grouping of the floor but a different coloring and he didn't realize it. Then they had the kitchen all blocked off on the day they put the floor, so I couldn't see it, but when they unblocked everything they had put down the wrong floor, so they had to tear it up and put down the correct one. Now I'm sure that must have costed them a bunch of money and luckily it didn't cost me the money because we were under the insurance company. And there were other mistakes like that, and he was in charge of everything at that point. On many days he would tell me that we are going to come on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock or 7:30 AM whatever time and, I am not a morning person so I'd make sure I was up for that time and they would never show up. I had to call him many times but he would never call. That was very frustrating to work with, he was a nice person, I really enjoyed talking to him but it was very frustrating. And I did call him and say is there anybody else you can find to me for this job and the answer kept coming back, no. So I know how many people they had doing that function in their business but they never came back to give me a different project manager. I cannot tell you how many different people came in the basement There was a new ceiling put in and they had to really create a paneling look because it was paneled nicely. They can't buy nice panel ling anymore so they ended up, building up tug and roof paneling. I cannot tell you how many people came in and measured at that time but, as the carpenter was putting the stuff in he re-ensured of sealing tiles and re-ensured of the panels about 6 feet of them. I cannot figure out how they could have  miss measured when three or four different people had measured, so that was another frustration which held everything back, it took me another two weeks to get the stuff and get it finished. They finally finished and I moved the stuff back into the room. Now in the middle of that because the walls and ceiling were pulled out, I asked to have my electrician do stuff and nothing was up to code so my insurance had to code up, so my electrician essentially rewired the entire room and he was working almost as a hired person by Kapura to do the job. But he was one of my electricians since I knew his work. But now that it is finished I like it, it looks very nice.

In Sight Design & Construction LLC
We talked with Larry about remodeling our kitchen, and he came out to meet us and look at the potential job.We pointed out our needs, and he produced a quote with the design of a new kitchen, that was according to what we were looking for. We were quite pleased with the layout, and after defining our budget, he was able to work it in within our budget. I only put B for quality, because I was expecting a photo-realistic rendering, but the layout was actually a floor plan. Not a big deal, especially if you were expecting a floor plan in the first place.Proceeding with the quote, we have hired him and they began working today.
Just a comment about the unsatisfied customers, due to the amount of Angie's deals that were purchased, he hasn't been able to be as responsive as one would like. Don't judge the work itself from everyone who's been rating him F's due to unresponsiveness. Being understanding, I rated it as a B.
Yes, for right now, as the Angie's deals are being sorted out, it's true that you have to be patient to get it started, but at least up to this point, I've been satisfied with the actual work, and am looking forward to having a fully renovated kitchen, and a new half bath! Everything else is an A up to this point.
I'll enter another review once the job is completed!
