    It was a mother's worst nightmare; my college student son was stranded in a parking lot in Schenectady NY and it was minus 5 with wind chill! He called AAA and they came and helped him get the car started. He drove around to charge up the battery and it seemed like the problem was resolved for the short term; the battery was old and we thought he just needed a new battery. He tried to start the car  few days later- battery dead again. He got a friend to jump start the car but every time he turned the car off it was dead again. I decided to drive up from CT to help him out. I knew I might need to take it to a garage; I found Caruso's - not far from his campus. When I got to the school on Friday morning the car was "dead" in the lot. I tried to jump it, I had to let my car charge his battery for over 30 min before it had enough cranking power to start it. While I was waiting in my car I decided that just getting a new battery wasn't going to ease my mind. I was concerned that the alternator could have gone bad or he had a small electronic "bleed" after he turned the car off so that it kept draining the battery in addition to the subzero temps. I told my son that even if we got a new battery from a parts store I wanted the electrical system checked out. I called Caruso's and explained the situation, also that I was under a time constraint; I was staying over Friday night but needed to leave early on Saturday to get home before the snowstorm that was heading towards us. I didn't want to leave with the problem unresolved. They said they would check it out as soon as I could get the car to them; if I couldn't get it started I would have AAA tow it to them. It started and we took it right over. They diagnosed the car and called me; explained each issue they found and prioritized them. The battery was old but the alternator was also faulty and they found a coolant leak when they put it up on the lift. they thoroughly checked out the car. The front brake rotors were very pitted and compromised as well as the brake pads and hardware. This is a 2002 vehicle and although we keep it serviced these issues were not unreasonable for it's age and usage. We could hold off on replacing the brakes for a short time but we agreed that if my son was going to do any highway driving it could be dangerous. I have a trusted mechanic back home and I have to say I was very happy that Caruso's conducted themselves with the same integrity. We thoroughly discussed the car, they treated us with respect and kindness. In the end I decided they should resolve all the issues plus do an oil change since it was due for one. For the amount of work done and parts needed I felt the cost was very reasonable. They were able to make all the repairs that Friday so when I left Saturday morning I knew the car was safe for my son to drive. We were on the same page; cost is a consideration but my son's safety is paramount and I appreciated that they prioritized each issue. Because in other situations, some problems could be minor and it would be reasonable to wait to pay for the repair. My entire experience with them was excellent. My son is also signed up for additional local 24/7 roadside assistance, a free service when your car is serviced at their station. I have peace of mind that should my son encounter any further car problems he has someone he can trust to help him out. I highly recommend them and I recommended them to my son's roommate who has a car at school.

    I made an appointment and was told it would take about a half hour.  I arrived on time and the work was completed in about 25 minutes.  The car was then test driven to make sure everything was in order.  There is a nice waiting area with TV and wireless internet. that is just as comfortable as that of my Lexus dealer who is much more expensive.

    Modern Motors Mazda Dodge are very good. I've been using them for a long time. This is my fifth Mazda and I've always gone to them. They're very professional. You don't get your car back with greasy fingerprints or anything like that. They keep you up to date. I also purchased my Mazda's from them. Their professionalism is very laid back. They don't gang up on you or "What would it take to make you sign this paper, to drive the car back today?" There's none of that. It's always calm. They don't push you. They explain and let the product sell itself.

    He’s very good; he specializes in foreign cars because he used to work for a foreign car company, but he is always up on everything and any kind of car and can always tell me right off the bat on any cars I’m interested in if anything is wrong with it.  He is very good and we always check with him before we buy any used car.  He’s very competitive on used cars and batteries and other car parts.  He has done a lot of work for Mercedes, Volvo, Audi and BMW.  He’s very, very sharp and a very honest person.

    I believe it was free of charge for that service. I've had no problems with them. They did what they're supposed to do. They were on time, honest and they don't try to get me for stuff that don't need to be fixed.

    Roberts Honda
    I was greeted by reception and walked to the service Manager, Robert Furman, who had spoken with me earlier on the phone. He advised me to bring the car (~50 mins away). He quickly, upon arrival, had the vehicle brought into the service bay and within 20 minutes had the problem and solution explained to me and a promise of 2 hours waiting time to completion. The car was completed shortly before the 2 hours and returned to me outside the service waiting room. I was, throughout the entire process, offered refreshment and entertainment in a clean waiting area and a clean restroom convenience. Mr Furman, personally, escorted me to the payment area and took care of the process of payment. He also took the time to explain the guarantee/warranty for the services and parts.
