  • When I called to set up the service, they were very rude over the phone, throwing questions at me and wanting to know why I needed time to think about them. The person I spoke with was rude, unpleasant, and made me very uncomfortable. I asked for, and received, a refund on the offer.

  • The moving crew was very respectful, they worked hard and fast.. They broke a door off a TV cabinet, but reported it to me immediately. They took the door to get it repaired and had it for 4 months, with no repair. I ended up getting the door back to be fixed and Bema Brothers Moving stated they would send me a check for the amount it cost to repair the door, but have not done so. I have followed up with them multiple times without any assistance on payment reimbursement.

  • Chris and Rodney were unbelievable! Brent was also very good. They should be called AMAZING Movers! Never an issue, never a problem very very little breakage.  My wife was so amazed that she gave them all a big kiss when the delivery to SC was completed. I will tell anybody who is moving down to the Carolina's...that they should use these guys....
    I usually don't do this review thing many times because in the past the other company's service was either good ...or...bad...not this time...just amazing!!
    Cynthia also needs a nod...she did a great job scheduling and coordinating.

  • From the start, Simons communication was "spot on". He got back to me in minutes, rather than days. We reviewed my current contract and lease against his services. He took the time to review the differences and answer any questions I had at any time. Upon taking over the management he started a dialogue with my tenant, and scheduled a meeting with him, to perform a detailed house inspection. All the information was sent to me digitally within a few hours of the inspection. My prior provider never offered this service. Then Simon and I set aside a time to discuss the inspection. He called when he promised!!! What a refreshing change!!! Since then, he has been in contact with the tenant, issued a new lease, and handled the small repairs that we deemed necessary at this time. It's on HIS list to follow up about some maintenance projects for the spring. For the first time in years I feel a sense of ease. It's his "baby" now, yet he seems to understand that I still want to be kept abreast of what's going on. While we have only been associated for a short time, I feel Simon and his team are on their way to exceeding my expectations.
    One side note: Simon has sense of humor if you seek it out. For me... that's always a welcome light. I'm trying to plan a trip to Asheville to meet him and visit the house. ( plus enjoy some great local food and warm..welcoming people) I teased Simon, that I thought he " was my brother from another mother" . That's HOW much he gets me, and also respects my knowledge of the industry.
    Don't hesitate... WNC Property Management has it all.... And then some!!!

  • Our move was interstate from CT to FL and all arrived safe and sound to our new home.  The unloading was as professional and efficient as the loading and the overall cost was extremely fair for the services provided.  The whole experience of a long distance move was made as stress-free as possible by John C Murphy Moving and Storage Inc..

  • These guys rock! I called them because of the Angie's List reviews and I was not disappointed. I was quickly set up with an appointment for an estimate and was very impressed with the attitude of the owner. He was responsive to all communications and the crew showed up at the appointed time. I can not rave enough about the crew they sent me. These guys were fast, efficient, professional, courteous and some of the hardest working people I have come across! We had to make two trips because we used a smaller truck due to the size of the roads in my old neighborhood. It was service with a smile the whole time.  They wrapped all furniture and took good care of our belongings. Before they left they verified that I was happy with the placement of all my furniture and asked if I wanted to move anything around. They cleaned up when done.
    I have to say, I was dreading moving day - but I was so impressed with the speed, attitude and comradery of the crew that I found myself giddy with relief.
    I highly recommend them. Their price was reasonable as well. I did get one price quote for less, but stuck with them because of the reviews and my gut instinct. I was not disappointed.

  • The week before our move Hurricane Sandy came through. In spite of the fact that Jimmy was without power for over a week he sent crews out to help us pack our house. His team was fast and efficient. He also help us remove furniture we choose to donate.  Unbelievable!
    His truck arrived on time as promised in NC. Once again his team was something else. They setup our furniture and move the boxes into the various rooms.  Not a single piece of furniture was damaged or a box misplaced.
    If you're moving A Man with a Van is the way to go!

  • Mr. Murphy came to my house to do an estimate. It got to be the time he was supposed to arrive and he was not here, so I called the company. They called him and he called me back. He was in traffic, no problem. He ended up being about 10 or 15 minutes late, again no problem. His manner was professional, but rushed. He said I should receive the estimate either that evening or the next day at the latest. The quote did not arrive by the next day, so I called the office about every other day. They were very nice and professional on the phone, but still, no quote! Finally, 8 days later I called and told them either send me the quote today or I am going elsewhere for sure because I need to make this decision. I finally was emailed the quote. It was on the expensive side of the other quotes that I got ($1000, $1100, $1300, $1500 (Murphy), $1600).We really wanted to use them though so I called them back a couple of days later and asked if there was anything we could do on our end to save some labor and bring the quote down by maybe a hundred or two. She said she would get back to me. That was 4 days ago. I have not heard back. We decided to go with another mover due to Murphy's non-responsiveness.

  • We moved several times in the past five years, so we know enough to purchase the insurance because things get broken. This is the only mover I had a problem with that didn't honor the insurance. They told us there was a deductible, and there is no deductible. They damaged some things that they didn't replace, so we're missing some things. I would absolutely not recommend them.
