I live across the country and ReplaceALens rushed my order so I would have sunglasses on my vacation. Don't get glasses anywhere else but here!

The staff is very knowledgeable and do not rush you to decide. They are attentive. You do pay for their expertise and quality in terms of price. I was very happy when I received my new glasses in 1.5 weeks.

    I ordered my glasses on a Friday night and they called on Wednesday to say they were in. The staff was very helpful in choosing the frames, helping me decide the extras, and they gave me a discount coupon when I asked if there were any additional discounts I could use. My glasses came out great and I have been getting lots of compliments on them.

    They are kid-friendly and my kids love them. We were expecting to pay a lot because they are pricey and not like the big-box eye care place but they got us in quickly. We had a problem with my son’s goggles and they just told us to come right in and they took care of it. We were able to get an appointment within a week. They were really good with fitting them with the glasses and making sure they were comfortable. Their bedside manner is excellent. We would definitely use them in the future.

    I went to browse their selection, they also brought out books for me to search for particular glasses. I was able to try on several pairs of glasses, and the staff suggested and gave their opinion on several pairs that I had tried on. The optical shop was very busy that day, but the staff didn't make me feel rushed at all. Their follow-up service was very good as well. They contacted me as soon as my glasses had arrived. I have also returned to them after breaking a pair of glasses. They were able to repair the glasses at no cost to me. I definitely recommend them.

    The doctor was very friendly and so was the rest of the staff. When I got to the office everything was fine. Prices were affordable on the frames and lenses that I received roughly in one week. This was my first time with this doctor and they did quite a few more tests than my old one. The small problem I had was with scheduling an appointment. The business seemed to be on the slow side and with being in and out of the office in such a quick time I could see no reason why they scheduled my appointment almost a month ahead. They stated that was the next available time.That being said, every other thing was great about the office.

    Go someplace else. Where to begin.  After a business relationship of many years, the quality of service and products has significantly decreased with the last several orders of progressive glasses purchased.  Partner's frames were too big for his face.  Nothing said at time of purchase but after several visits for adjustments because they kept slipping down, we were told almost a year later that we should have bought smaller frames.  More recently, 2 sets of replacement lenses ordered for me and in the end I think I have one lens that is made to specifications out of four.  First sunglasses were made incorrectly - vision totally blurred.  Then left lenses had to be replaced because of inaccurate prescription given by eye doctor, and I will say I was not charged additional for this which I appreciated.  But remake of sunglasses resulted in blurry vision in right eye.  Took the glasses to another optometrist for review.  Left lenses in both sets of glasses was "stronger" than what the prescription called for.  They could not determine what the problem was with the right lens on the sunglasses but told me that the lens was not the same make as the other glasses and there was basically no reading area, both of which could be causing the issue.  Owner of Plainville Optical said the sunglasses right lens was blurry because of a cataract.  If that were the case, why can I see OK with the regular glasses?  Plus I have a documented statement from eye doctor that at this point in time, cataract is not impairing vision.   I had the old right lens put back in the sunglasses so I can at least read street signs.   All this was documented in a letter to Plainville Optical informing them that I was disputing a portion of the credit card charges. Two days later, we received to checks refunding the entire cost of both sets of glasses and telling us that our business relationship as been ended.  Checks were deposited and I was going to wait for them to clear before pulling back the dispute. Sure enough, stop payments were put through so not only were we again out the entire cost of 3 sets of glasses, we are also out an additional $30 in bank fees.
