This project went fantastic! Davar's guys are great, and show up on time, and spend THE DAY working. We love our new front porch and portico, and all the finish work. Eager for spring to arrive to enjoy it! Flexible and outstanding service.

    - Hired R & M Custom Contractors from a referral. They did a total 1st & 2nd floor renovation to my 1,200 sq ft cape which included an 800 sq ft in-law addition. Project was handled professionally throughout. - Overall - Very Happy / Satisfied - Price of the project - finished on target. - Quality of workmanship - Perfect - everything was done to our satisfaction. - Responsiveness - there was not a day during the project where someone did not show up to work. - Punctuality - Worked full days, after hours and some weekends - project finished on time. - Professionalism - Handled issues that came up during the project - things ran smoothly. Communication throughout was constant. Area always clean and neat. Neighbors commented about the cleanliness of the site. - WOULD HIRE AGAIN AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND - NO COMPLAINTS

Both projects went flawless. Which I found amazing because both project sites posed there own challenges. Oly Mattera Construction simplified the entire demolition portion of these projects and made it look "easy" with the up-most care and professionalism. I would never entertain using anyone else except Oly Mattera for these types of services.

I would urge all consumers to stay away from this contractor. He does not pay his subcontractors. In our case, we have had a stream os subcontractors seeking payment and the filing of a mechanics lien against our property. A slick sales job has turned into a nightmare. And, we have learned that the same thing has happened to other customers. This doesn't even start to get into the shoddy finish work and errors discovered after completion. Buyer beware.

Job took much longer than necessary and never bothered to finish the final touches - door trims, etc. Jason Baldino will collect money in advance and take his time and you're lucky if they finish the job at all - they only work 1.5 - 2 hrs/day and is constantly in and out - he's not very committed.

    Dear Angie's List readers:
We purchased our house because of its? lakefront location but really did not know how much work would be required to bring it up to livable condition. Once we had removed some of the dry wall and saw the 1948 insulation, the amount of mold and the antiquated kitchen it became clear that  we would need to gut it and start over.  Homeline was not only instrumental in helping us to design the new space to use every square inch, adding a bedroom and expanding a full bath in the process! Their skilled carpentry, painters and finish work teams working under daily supervision were able to put us back into our home in record time for a very competitive price. I am delighted to tell the homeowners who might be looking for high quality workmanship and value driven pricing that they need look no further than HOMELINE.

Skip was a total professional and very friendly. We ended up going with an alternate contractor because of a family connection, but would have felt confident hiring Skip. He has a great portfolio of work, concentrates on just decks and really knows his business. He was on time and provided a variety of estimates to us in a very timely manner — something other contractors failed to do. We put this job out to bid to 4 contractors and only got 2 estimates back. Two of the contractors came out, talked with us and then disappeared, even after repeated phone calls. Skip returned calls promptly, was able to come over to assess our deck within days and sent the estimates within a week. His prices were also competitive for the project.

Wanted to expand my house to a 2nd floor. Dominic was very professional. The price seemed to be better than others and we were excited with the quality of work. The house looks amazing and he completed it with his team weeks before schedule. The hardwood floors and windows are amazing. He is clearly talented with his carpentry. I would highly recommend him which I did to my family.

On the whole, we were very disappointed with the work. We undertook this project during the boom (2005) and I think Ron was stretched too thin. Although he's clearly capable, the subs and crew he chose for our job were terrible, absolutely terrible.
The problems run the gamut from big to small. For example, virtually every joint on the exterior trim is showing and a number of sections of the trim need to be replaced. While I know this is seven years later, these problems started almost immediately. Likewise, the porches (bluestone and brick) have worn terribly. Sections of grout are pulling up and the brick is permanently stained with white effloresence. Inside, several doors and windows have never worked properly. There are huge gaps in the interior trim. The bathroom occasionally, and mysteriously runs hot water from the cold tap. Half the transformers for the undercounter kitchen lighting have failed. There is a noticable hump in the kitchen floor where the original building meets the new construction.
I could go on, but one story really stands out in my mind. I went out to look at the new railing on our front porch. As I leaned against a section, it completely collapsed. It turns out it was simply toenailed to the exterior wall. Ron did fix this and attached it correctly, but only because I happened to find it.
I am now in the process of hiring someone to build a garage for me. You can be sure it won't be Ron. In fact, I'm going to have the contractor start redoing some of the work Ron did.

Bill Freeman (the owner) was there regularly and Dan Smith, our foreman, was there every day. We were living in two rooms covered by plastic, so we saw them daily. It was a little nerve wracking at times making such huge changes, and they were great. We can't say enough about the quality of the work, their willingness to work with us and their professionalism. We couldn't be more thrilled with the results and every detail that was done was done well. Bill even added in details just because they improved the look, like a skylight on the wall of the screen porch. They helped us research products and found creative solutions for problems. Bill has also received an award for being and quot;greenand quot; and he convinced us of the long term benefit of making energy-wise/environment-wise choices. The cost isn't cheap, but I gave them an and quot;Aand quot; because the product is worth the price.
