    Kris Pelillo Carpentry
It was months of work - as expected - but Kris was always there as expected and went beyond expectations to make it all work. The job came out beautifully and we receive a ton of compliments. Great work!

Steven the owner is a delight to work with he's very professional, punctual, offers fair prices, goes above and beyond to address all of our issues or concerns. Steven's woodworking team were professionals and detail-oriented they made sure we were satisfied down to the smallest detail. Final product exceeded our expectations we LOVE the new deck. Steven's crew did an amazing job with it all. his whole team were polite, respectful, and professionals. It feels good when your guests complimented how nice the new deck looks.

    Covenant Construction
Horrible craftsmanship and left without finishing the job.  A partial list of problems:
    1) installed a radiant floor heating system that never worked.  Promised to fix it for over 18 months.  Made a big show of pretending to order new tiles and the "test" equipment.  We are still waiting 18 months later.
    2) installed a window with broken panes, still waiting for that to be fixed
    3) In at least 2 places his crew forgot to put aluminum trim on the wood outside our house so as a result we have bare wood along our roof line just waiting to rot.
    4) built 2 decks as part of the addition, both of which needed to be restained within 2 months as the original stain was peeling badly
    5) Interior sheetrock on ceilings is already cracking - 6 months later
    6) we had to hire another electrician to finish the electrical work
    7) project completion was delayed over 9 months because builder kept taking on new projects
    8) caused over $3,000 in damage to our hot tub in the course of moving it/letting it freeze because electrical couldnt be hooked up
    9) Left construction debris in our yard, dozens of paint cans in our basement, etc.
Do not use this person.  Also does business under Fairfleld County Contruction.  Builders name is Lynn Morse.

    Patriot's Builder Construction
We met with him in advance, wrote up a contract with him and he gave us his insurance that had lapsed. He started the job and was ok at the beginning for the first month. After that it was off and on. He had a problem reading the architectural things we wanted done. He had a tendency to demo a lot of things that did not need to be done. Areas of my home that were not supposed to be touched were ripped apart. He left the roof opened and it flooded our entire house. He is very nasty to me and refuses to give me his insurance. He will not talk to me and has continued to ignore me.

I wanted a shell built by Bensonwood- extremely energy-effecient, built off-site in New Hampshire. He was the only contractor they would recommend. Despite my better sense, I signed his contract. Within a month he was off schedule. He had great trouble with drainage problems on my sloping lot but wouldn't enlist a subcontractor who was able to solve the problem, but charged me a lot of extra money for having to re-do drainage that then still didn't work. (I found out later he had other local bad debts and no one reputable wanted to work with him.) I asked Bensonwood several times if I could get another contractor, they said, 'hang in there'. With the concrete basement and house shell/windows/outer doors up, it still took him 9 months to get close to finishing. He'd have the painters in to paint a couple of walls but they'd have to stop because the rest wasn't ready for them. I heard complaints from 4 of the 5 subcontractors about him during the process of having to do partial work multiple times. He quoted a 20% overhead but got up to 40% overhead on some projects I later checked with subcontractors about. Finally I refused to give him more money until I had a CO. At that point he emailed me that he was 'broke', and disappeared, still owing the subcontractors about $30,000.
After bankruptcy, all he has to do is give his company another name.  Meanwhile, I'm still picking up his pieces.

    Precision Development LLC
We had been bidding the project out to multiple contractors and had recieved estimates across the board. Precision Development had a comprehensive estimate that broke apart all aspects of the project so it was very easy for us to compare against other contractors. One of the main things we loved was there attention to detail as well as open lines of communication. They brought to our attention a few design issues and were able to deal with them very quickly and easily without interrupting the overall schedule of the project. They worked with us and our architect and were very responsive to any changes that were made. We love our new home and cant wait to enjoy it with our family. I would definetly reccomend them to all of my family and friends and will use them for any other projects we might tackle in the future.
