The crew were punctual, kind, professional and fast. All trees taken down without incident. Bill, the owner, was wonderful to work with. I can't say enough about this company. We would definitely use them again

They have excellent equipment in concert with the price that they demand. You do not find one of their guys climbing trees, as they use a decent cherry picker for all work that is within reach of their vehicles. The work is done very safely, with minimal risk to you, your property or their people or equipment. They always come on time, and do an excellent job. I do find that they tend to try to add on work during the estimation process. The add-on work is usually an extra tree here and there that they would recommend you take down, or trimming of trees and so on. This add-on work is usually a bit less expensive than the main work, but still expensive, and often I come away feeling that they did less work for the "add-on" than they did for the main job I wanted done. However, the results are always good, but if you want to save money with these guys, you should exercise careful discretion concerning these extras.

The actual work done was satisfactory, just incomplete: the shrubbery was largely removed (some vegetation left but little enough that I will be able to get the rest out myself), The trees that were supposed to be taken down were taken down, and only one tree was taken down that I wasn't expecting, but I had told them "when in doubt, take it out", so I have no complaint with that.

One significant problem for me is that my understanding was that the original agreement included grinding the stumps of the trees taken down around the house, especially over the end of my leach field, so that the guy who cuts my grass could mow everywhere there had been overgrowth.  However, the stumps of none of the trees were ground down (only the three Rose-of-Sharon bushes at the corner of the house), and I was quoted an additional charge to do the tree stumps.  Then when they did come out to grind the stumps of the trees down, I wasn't home and they only did three small tree stumps in the front yard (for which they are charging me $75), and none of the ones at the end of leach field that I understood to be included in the additional quote. The stumps confusion was all verbal--I've learned my lesson: have a detailed, written, counter-signed contract, no matter how great the person you are dealing with seems to be).

Finally, I had got a quote from them for resurfacing my driveway with gravel. Again there was confusion about what was going to be done (whether it would be scraped down first or not, given that there's a large rock at the surface across the width of the driveway, and for this I have a complete email chain so I'm clear that I am not the source of the confusion). There was further confusion about when the work would be done. Lastly I have learned that the quote is high compared to what my neighbors have paid for comparably sized driveways, so I'm going to resume shopping around.  I'd have been willing to pay it, however, if I'd been confident of a good job, and no confusion about what I was or was not paying for.  The repeated 'surprises' were not reassuring, however, and I have decided that I will not have any further work done by them.

Great and beyond our wildest expectations. Seven trees in close proximity were dropped near and on south side of house. The trees were dropped side by side which greatly reduced the footprint of felled trees. Most trees were dropped by chainsaw or chainsaw with wedges. Two trees were dropped with additional ropes to guide the fall location. One large tree near house was trimmed first with a bucket truck.
Homeowner cut a narrow path from driveway to lawn areas with snow thrower and the bucket truck was guided easily through a narrow path between a BBQ grill and an ornamental shrub to be protected. One reason for selecting this contractor was they agreed to relieve pressure on felled trees to make the conditions safest for homeowner to complete tree cutting. No one else offered this service.
Four trees on the north side of the house were felled. Some were cut others were first trimmed with bucket truck. There of the four were dropped side by side. Neat piles of branches and cut logs were left and the paths created by snow thrower to access back of house remained free of debris. The fourth tree had to be limbed - branches dropped on right side of trees, logs on left side of the tree. Some logs were attached to bucket via rope before cutting. Bucket skills were awesome - chain saw in one hand and branches in second hand.
Arrived on time at 7:30 am and worked continuously except for breaks and lunch. This was originally planned to be a 3 man job - but only two were actually present or needed for the job. Completed the removal of all 11 trees within the planned time frame and the amount of cutting of felled trees were beyond our expectation.
Not the low bid or high bid - but their proposal and attention to details were important to their selection.
