    The 2 gentlemen called about 25 minutes before they arrived. They arrived at the time they were scheduled for. One gentleman came in, went over the work that was to be done and gave me a quote for the amount that would be charged. I had a Groupon for the service which they honored. I added the sanitation and filter replacement. They performed all the work as promised and were very efficient and professional. i am very happy with the service and would definitely use them again.

    During this past January (2015), while my husband and I were wintering in Florida, something stopped working in the hot water heating system. We had asked some family members to look into the house periodically, but with all the storms and deep snow no one apparently was able to get into the house.  According to the extent of the damages, the house must have been frozen a long time for all of the heat radiators to freeze, swell and burst.  When the weather warmed a bit the burst pipes started flowing and water was spreading out all over the floors.  We were notified by our home security agency that a water sensor in the basement had sent out an alarm.  By the time Mike's Pluming got into the house it was 'raining' in the basement with an inch of water on the floor.  In addition to stopping the continuing water flow and finding and fixing the leaks, they also brought in portable heaters to keep our utility room (full of gages, valves, pipes, water tanks and the boiler) from freezing.  They found the source of the heat failure in the boiler, ordered and replaced the failed parts.  Mr. Carafotes also volunteered to walk with our home insurance adjustor through all the repairs, although on the day arranged for the adjustor to be at the house, Mr. Carafotes was called out to another heating emergency.  I feel that I can say without doubt that Mike's Plumbing Services earned their payment.

    Unfortunately, during the above consultation, my husband had a serious accident resulting in an ambulance ride and five days in the hospital.
    A couple of weeks later I called to set up another consultation to get the project started and was directed by the office staff to
    leave a voice message on Mr. Basso’s office phone. When he hadn’t returned the call after a couple of weeks I again left a message. On the third call, several weeks later, Kevin, in the office, answered and told me that right after I hung up he would contact Mr. Basso via his cell phone and have him call me right back. That was two months ago and Mr. Basso still has not returned the call.
    I find this situation most distressing since our past experience with Mr. Basso and all of the technicians had been exceptionally
    satisfying and my husband and I had wanted the project to be handled by them.

    The 'Cost of Service' quoted, was an accumulation of multiples visits during the terrible winter of 2014.  Our home has several heating zones, but in December of 2013 a couple of the zones apparently shut down resulting in near freezing temperatures. We had several different heating and plumbing contractors to the house trying to find out where the problem was.
    The Steve Basso company was tenacious in repeatedly coming to the house (despite the heavy snow and icy temperatures), re-purging the system, checking all the cold pipes for leaks, ice or air 'plugs' and re-starting the system. After several house calls it was finally discovered that a faulty relay switch was the culprit. The switch was replaced and the system has been working fine ever since.
    We would defiantly recommend the Steve Basso Heating and Plumbing Co. as a reliable and dependable organization.  All the men who came to our house were very knowledgable, skilled and exhibited complete professionalism at all times.

    They did a really good job. He said that he would do what he could, but he got it done. They cleaned up after themselves. We did not know that they had even been in the house. The seller had a warranty on my house so I had to use someone else for my house. Our experiences with them have been good. Their prices were definitely competitive. They were out before the hurricane and their responsiveness was very good. They showed up when they said they would.

    They came home on a weekend, on a Friday night. They had to go get a part. They went and got it at 11 o?clock at night. I didn?t think that their price was unreasonable. They are a small company and they are good to work with. They have a nice staff and they are a part of the energy efficient program of the state.
