Horribly!  I would not hire this business to hang a closet door.  For starters, Jim (the owner), came to our home to measure our basement and then provide us with a budget.  He did, however we have 9 foot ceilings and he budgeted 8 foot ceilings so the original budget was not even close to accurate.  We also discussed a cutout in the stairwell which he neglected to add into the budget and seemed to have totally forgotten when we actually got started with the framing.  There were major communication issues throughout the entire project with Jim and they started at the beginning.  The start date was pushed back 3 separate times. I would hear nothing from Jim, assume everything was on schedule and email him the day before start to confirm what time he would be arriving.  Three times I was told that was not the plan anymore and he would give me a new start date.
We made it very clear to Jim when he provided the budget that we needed someone to complete framing, drywall, paint and finish carpentry.  The remainder we had already contracted out (thank goodness we did!).  We hired Jim to complete this work.  We did not hire Jim to be a general contractor and bring in subcontractors, which is what he did.  Luckily the framer he brought in knew more than Jim did about framing and did a fantastic job.  Because the framer was so good we kept moving forward with Jim.
The drywall could not have gone worse!  The framer told us that Jim did not intend on completing our drywall himself because he had taken another job and that he was looking for a drywall crew to bring in. The framer told us this. Jim never communicated this. One Friday evening at about 6 pm a drywall crew showed up at our home.  They told us they were there to meet Jim and provide him with a cost to complete the drywall in our basement.  Again, Jim had said nothing to us about the drywall and we already had a budget from Jim for materials and labor for drywall.  Jim never showed and we ended up taking the crew through our basement.  In hindsight, we should have fired Jim then and there and hired this crew.  They were actual drywallers.  Jim did not end up hiring them because apparently they were too expensive.  Again, this information did not come from Jim but from the new drywall crew that ended up showing up unexpectedly one evening.  During all of this Jim had the drywall delivered.  He called one evening and told us the materials would be showing up in about a half hour and could be let the crew in?  We were not even home and of course Jim had no plans of being there himself.  We rushed home and let them in.  This crew ended up destroying a window through which they brought the drywall in and we eventually had to completely replace the window. Not cheap!
Back to the crew (a husband and wife) that Jim did hire to complete our drywall.  Turns out he had never even met this couple in person before.  Apparently he had somehow found their number and hired them over the phone.  He had apparently told them we had 8 foot ceilings because I got an earful when they saw that the ceilings were 9 ft.  I told them to call Jim to work it out and apparently they did and agreed to get started.  Jim professed that these two had been drywalling for 35 years (um, not even close).  They hung the drywall the wrong direction causing need for additional sheets of drywall. They would begin in a room and then randomly move to another room and hang a piece of drywall.  They even started taping and mudding in random places for some reason.  Their work was not the worst problem.  We had given Jim access to our garage code to come in and work while we were at work.  He went ahead and passed this on to this drywall crew.  We found a ton of evidence each time they were in our home and we were gone that they had wandered through our house, into bedrooms, opening drawers, utilizing our kitchen and refrigerator, but the worst was the bathroom.  Without getting too gross, let's just say they went number 2 in 2 different bathrooms and proceeded to wipe their feces all over the toilet and walls.  We continuously were calling and emailing Jim to tell him of the issues and he kept informing us that he had spoken with him and it would not happen again.  The 2nd time they did what they did in the bathroom we told Jim they could not come back to our home, the garage code had been changed and the alarm system was on.  We had a long talk with Jim and he was told that he was to complete the work he was hired to do or we would find someone else.  Jim showed up for a total of 2 days with a new drywall crew and that was all the work he did.
The new crew was normal but also not experienced and incredibly slow.  It took 6 weeks to complete drywall, which we later found out from several contractors should have taken no more than a week.  We ended up spending a ton of money to fix the drywall problems after we finally fired Jim and told him we no longer needed his services.  They had covered 6 electrical outlets and 3 plumbing cleanouts with drywall that we had to find.  The outlets that were cut out were done so poorly that they had to have huge chunks cut out and new pieces put in.
You would be better off to utube the work you need done and do it yourself.  Jim will end up costing you time and money and screw up your house!

So far, we have had Solid Rock Custom Carpentry perform 3 projects for us.  The first project was for drywall repair in two rooms, and the installation of new attic stairs (e.g., the pull-down ladder type) in a  hallway.  He did a great job!
We then had our home, outbuilding, and deck painted.  He did a great job sanding the deck first, applying primer to the house, etc.  Finally, we had a house in the mountains (Winter Park/Fraser) repaired (siding had woodpecker holes in it), and also painted.  Once again, he did a great job despite the distance and difficulty getting materials up there.
I would highly recommend Craig and his crew.

This job was a disaster from the beginning.  One day before the job was supposed to start, we were informed by Josh that there was a personal issue and the start date was being postponed for at least a week.  A week later,  we were told by Omni Services that they were behind on another job and it would be several days until they could start.  So finally we were notified that the crew was going to be coming on Monday morning to finally start.  We received a call from Josh saying he was on his way, but there was an issue at Home Depot where he was supposed to pick up materials on the way to our home.  Apparently at the checkout, there were problems with a credit card/banking issue and they needed to head to the office instead to take care of this issue.  Josh finally started on the job but always came late and left early.  We were told that the job would take two weeks and we were already two weeks behind when the job started.  Josh and his assistant seemed to show up late and leave early most days.  Then a few days into the job, my husband received an e-mail stating that Josh needed to take his wife to a doctor's appointment. Josh never showed that day or mostly the whole week. Then Josh told us that he can't come in the rain and work on the cabinets. When we initially met with Omni Services, we were told that Omni had a shop to build these cabinets.   Then we were told Omni Services was going to build them all day Friday and come over at 11:00 am Saturday and install them all. Josh never showed or answered my voicemails. The following week Josh didn't come because it rained one out of five days, and didn't come even when there was beautiful weather. Then one day Josh showed up and told me the design wasn't going to work. Josh had actually measured the room incorrectly and it had to be re-designed. So this is after four weeks with my house torn up.   The crew didn't try to keep the dust from getting into the rest of our home.  When they sanded the drywall, no plastic was put up and our finished basement filled with dust.  Another point, Omni Services wants you to leave your door unlocked so that they can come whenever they want and let themselves in but then they don't show up at all leaving your home not secure. We paid Omni Services 50% down and certainly haven't gotten our money's worth. We fired Omni Services after telling them they had to have the job done by the end of the fourth week at 5 pm., which at that point, wasn't even close to being done.  We received an e-mail from Josh stating they wouldn't be able to finish the job after four weeks time. The job initially was estimated to take two weeks.  We have now had to hire contractors to finish the job.  It even took Josh two weeks to retrieve his equipment that was placed at the side of our home.  I am surprised at the reviews on Angie's list. It seems like we were working with a totally different company because Angie's List reviews were so positive. After this experience, we will never use Angie's List again and will cancel our subscription right away.

Outstanding attention to detail, professionalism, quality and price. We had a very large and involved remodel which included removing multiple walls, adding a 20 foot x 10 inch steel I-beam to take out a support wall, building new footers for weight loads in our basement, vaulting a ceiling (which was finished with tongue and groove boards), and completing multiple chases for new duct work.
Solid Rock Custom Carpentry not only excelled when it came to the big structural aspect of the job, but aesthetically, our new rooms were finished with incredible quality and a superior level of craftsmanship that is hard to come by. Our I-beam was wrapped in stained oak for a classy, rustic look and oak beams were added to the vaulted T&G to create an old world-meets-Colorado authenticity that is unmatched. We are very happy with the end result and would highly recommend Solid Rock Custom Carpentry. SRCC went out of its way to spend extra time making sure everything was fit and finished. Some contractors with whom we have worked in the past have been in a hurry to finish and move on; on the contrary, SRCC will take the time and effort to ensure everything is as perfect as possible.
