    The Gas Connection, Inc.
DougL. Arrived at 9:04 A.M. for a 9:00 A.M. appointment. He explained how, and what he was doing to rectify the fireplace issues. Doug kept the area clean, was professional, and made sure I knew about the early bird offer from the company for my next service. I was very pleased with how both fireplaces worked and looked when the service was complete.

I asked for David's card upon seeing the beautiful job he was doing on my neighbor's chimney. (My neighborhood has so many bad brick repairs that I assumed good ones weren't possible)! His crew on the ground were very friendly and were enthusiastic about him, which I took as a good sign. He promised to give me an estimate on a chimney rebuild once he was off the neighbor's roof, and did. I kept the bid, intending to do the work the next summer. Six months later, I lost two chimney bricks (110-year-old chimney) after a very high wind. David came out the next morning and removed the top two courses of bricks for safety. He then suggested repair solutions that were cheaper than his original bid. We arranged for him to come back later in the week to do the actual repairs and he did. He's a very nice guy, responds thoughtfully, and makes good suggestions. I would hire him again.

Frankly, I don't know how they calculate the "grades" here...and considering all the As, the average they come up with doesn't seem quite fair. My experience was great, so I feel compelled to leave a review saying so. They called a few days in advance to let me know when they were coming, arrived on time, and were super courteous (even declined to park on my driveway after I said they could--because they said the truck leaked oil). Scored points right there. They worked in super windy and less than ideal conditions and maintained a good attitude the whole time. They cleaned up before they left, and I was happy with the end result. We had some scary looking brickwork (this is a 1939 house) that is way less scary now. I'm very grateful for that. They also charged a more than fair price, so I can only say that I have no complaints and would definitely recommend them.

    Breathe Fresh LLC
Appearance and reviews are NOT REFLECTIVE OF THIS COMPANY. DO NOT HIRE THEM! - Breath Fresh LLC ask Breathe Fresh Air LLC is unprofessional, unlicensed and uninsured operation.I purchased an Angie's list special for a chimney inspection and cleaning for $115. What I received was THOUSANDS of dollars in damage to my historic home with brick that was in perfect condition. Bobby Louderback - one of the supposed owners/field managers, came to my home to perform the cleaning. I was clear the chimney was in good condition, had not be used for fires since I bought the house in 2007 and the previously installed old gas log set up had been used for at least since the 1970's - as reported by my furnace specialist and had limited use. The chimney had been inspected upon purchase and again two years ago when the tuck pointing was redone. IT was found to be IN PERFECT CONDITION. I just wanted the old creosote to be cleaned out so small pieces wouldn't fall into the clean fireplace area currently used with candles only. The cleaning only took 20 minutes including setup and clean up.
They DID NOT perform a proper inspection before beginning the cleaning. Bobby flashed a flash light up the chimney and declared it 'good'. They did not climb the roof to view the chimney from above - as it required in a professionally licensed inspection. They did not clean out the soot clean out or even ask about it, which was later found to be full - by Xcel Energy.
Five minutes after Bobby left a huge crash of bricks came falling into my fireplace and home - dust was everywhere.I immediately took pictures and called them to come back and explain what happened. They did return promptly and looked up the chimney. Then Bobby climbed the roof and took pictures, which is provided copies of to me. He declared there was and acirc;??no damage, no concernand acirc;??, and acirc;??just looks like some bricks fell from the interior top into the fireplace chimney.and quot; and quot; And the bricks on the right look to have already have been there.and quot; I had no cause to not believe Bobby. But I found out what a liar he is.The weather did not become very cold until early to mid December and the furnace was not running a lot. I kept smelling a faint smell of gas in the living room when the furnace would come on. I had the furnace fall check completed in early November and it was fine but I called my furnace specialist any way. He found no leaks. The smell continued. I called my furnace guy again - he recommended I contact Xcel. Xcel came out on 12-16-2013. Xcel found a very minor leak in a valve that needed a new ring (which was replaced) but they were more concerned about the draw of the furnace and the water heater through the smaller flue channel within the chimney. Xcel discovered the soot clean hadn't been cleaned out at all. They commented to be ware of the chimney sweeps in Denver - there are tons of scammers. I commented that I had found Breath Air LLC on Angie's List and the reviews were good. Xcel wasn't convinced. The Xcel guy even stated and quot; bad things happen to good people all the timeand quot; - little did I know he was right. On 12/28/2013 - I noticed the exterior brick on my chimney and home was WET. Soaked. I immediately tried to scheduled chimney specialists to look at it.Because of the holidays and heavy work loads - the 1st specialist ( a very reputable national company) came out on 1-6-2014. They felt strongly that there was an obstruction in the flue - mostly created by the chimney sweep. The inspector specifically advised me that and quot;those so-called chimney sweeps are typically not qualified to performed the workand quot;. I obtained other bids as well. All declared it was highly likely the chimney sweep caused the blockage.Well on 2-11-2014 when the work could finally be performed - it was confirmed. Breathe Air LLC, aka Breathe Fresh Air Duct Cleaning had damaged the inner chimney flue so badly they caused bricks to block 99% of the furnace and water heater venting. The flue was now required to be relined and the 100+ year old brick (which is noted as in PERFECT condition) in that area will have to be replaced to the tune of $6500 to $10,000. The bids are still be obtained. The bids DO NOT cover the lost value in my historic home due to this damage. Simply put, not only did Breath Air LLC damage my home but they could have KILLED ME AND MY FAMILY with carbon monoxide poisoning. I contacted Breath Fresh Air and advised them I wanted their insurance carrier contact and policy # information. They refused. They determined it wasn't their fault and that it was lack of maintenance. Isn't that interesting? They have ZERO expertise in chimneys or brick work or being a reputable company, lied to me about the damage they caused but they made this blanket decision. Now let me explain I am an insurance expert. 20+ years as a commercial lines risk analyst with international Fortune 100 and 500 customers. Breath Fresh Air LLC's original story was that they wanted to review my receipts first so they could consider paying the damages themselves....because they have a 'highand quot; deductible (they did not disclose what they meant by 'high'). That's a scam folks. Reputable companies KNOW that if they submit a claim to their insurance company and the claim is found legitimate, the carrier does NOT hold the filing of claim that falls under the deductible against them. That's what insurance is for - to pay for mistakes, for damages the service provider causes.Only PAID claims count. It's illegal for a carrier to do so unless of course there is pattern of claim activity under the deductible that indicates a more severe exposure potential exists that can be documented. The insurance industry - especially commercial (business) insurance is highly regulated. Carriers don't risk their reputation, license to operate in a state and fines for stuff like this. Also - a professional, responsible, organization of integrity would have simply provided their insurance information and LET THE INSURANCE COMPANY INVESTIGATE and determine the merit of the claim. Filing a claim does not guarantee it will be covered and/or paid. But it sure does demonstrate a committment to customer service and to being a company with integrity. But Breath Fresh LLC, Breath Fresh Air Ducting Clean owned by Mikah Fonroff and Bobby Louderback chose not to do this. They have demonstrated they are unsafe and a danger to our communities. I trusted them to perform the work (which they did not) and to leave my home without damage (which they did not) and to not endanger me and my family (which they did not).Do not accept their excuses. This is an unprofessional, unlicensed, uninsured operation. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!

    Mr Chimney & Home Masonry
Chuck and his crew arrived on time and completed the demolition on the first day. They were extremely cautious with the demolition and cleaned up the work area every day. They finished the job in 5 days.Every aspect of their job was impeccable. I was a home builder for 10 years and never had a brick mason as good as Mr. Chimney.

I recently purchased and renovated a 1973 townhome. After the renovations were completed I shopped around for whole house air duct cleaning. Most of the companies I contacted included up to 10 air vents with their flat rate fee and an additional fee for each additional vent. Breathe Fresh's fee was based upon the square footage and since my home has 18 vents their flat fee and reviews helped me decide to use them. The bottom line is that Breathe Fresh did a great job cleaning the air ducts on a brutally cold day. I am very pleased with their service and recommend them..

Matt arrived within the promised time, introduced himself , put on his protective shoe covers and started to work.  He was knowledgeable, methodical and pleasant.  The end result was that my fireplace, which didn't work before cleaning service, now works perfectly.
Matt gave some suggestions for future options, along with the possible costs of each of the options.  He treated me and our home with courtesy and respect.

To start with, I bought one of their deals, but when I talked to the company to schedule with them, they told me I had to wait a month for the appointment.  Albeit disappointed, I decided to wait the month. On the phone, I told them this was the first time I was having a service like this performed and unfortunately, the only question I was asked was if December 8th worked for me.  So, waited a month and on the day of the appointment was SUPER excited to finally be getting my chimney up and running again, however, when their service man arrived, he told me he unfortunately couldn't do the service because he needed another person to help him get the cast-iron insert out.  The woman who schedules these appointments is supposed to ask and did not.  So, I now need to find another company to clean my chimney, wait more time and maybe be able to use my fireplace soon.  On a positive note, the service man was very polite and even gave me the name of another company.  So, my recommendation is Buyer Beware.  Call first and make sure you ask all the right questions or you will be waiting a long time and in the end need to get a refund from Angie's List before you start all over again.

They came out and they were actually a little early. They got everything done that we asked them to do. Two of their technicians came out to do a professional chimney sweet and safety inspection. It took them about 45 minutes. They were very friendly and got right to work. They cleaned up after they were done. There was an initial charge because I have a stove and it was an extra 50$ to clean the stove and pull the insert out and clean it too. They told me the price ahead of time and I appreciated their honestly.

The company was on-time, performed their work while providing cloths/plastic to keep the house and surrounding areas clean, and was efficient and quick.
The owner also noticed a set-screw was missing from the interior arm which opened/closed the flu, which he was nice enough to replace at no extra charge.
I received a quote over the phone with a discount, which the quoted amount was the total amount charged; which was very reasonable.
I've used chimney sweeps in the past, but was very impressed with this young man and would definitely recommend and use his company again.
