They are a little bit hard to get in contact with and sometimes when you call to make an appointment or whatever, sometimes they have to call back and so if you missed a call then you are calling back and forth. Availability is good but not the best.

All they care about is writing you a script for pills. Then when they make it so you need the amount they have written for you they say that you are a pill seeker. I begged for an MRI on my back and knees because my pain was an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. They never offered to give me an MRI. They have me an X-ray instead. The X-ray didn't show much so I thought I was losing my mind. When I was finally discharged from that place I found a truly acting doctor that found through an MRI that I had fourth degree arthritis and finally started to help me on the road to recovery. Two total knee replacements are in my future but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel. NEVER use them. They don't care about you as a patient. They get you hooked on medicine and then won't try to help you with the real problems you have. The only good thing I can say is that Dr Vann is an amazing psychiatrist/psychologist. Without him every one else is awful.

My doctor prescribed a Mylogram and a CAT scan instead of a MRI due to my pacemaker being non MRI compatible, the procedure was ordered to better diagnose my ongoing spine problem.  Great West Cigna has outsourced the decision to pre-approve tests and procedures to a company called Med Solutions. Med solutions rejected my testing.
A period of nine days elapsed from the doctors order for the test and when I arrived for my appointment at the facility only to get a phone call from the pre-registration office of the hospital informing me that Great West-Cigna had denied the procedure.  I had stopped taking Warfarin for five days as ordered, took a day off work for the procedure and had to turn around and go home.  This is not the first time Med Solutions has denied me services and I am thinking that they are a firewall to increase profits for Cigna by burdening doctors, making them run around and around complying with Med Solution documentation requirements and then denying services.  One doctor said they do this in hopes that the doctor and patient will just give up and go away.  Denying services equals increased profit.  Really disappointed in this company.

Paul responded promptly to my inquiry through Angie's List. He was extremely professional and presented several options for our health insurance needs. I would absolutely recommend him to help anyone through the complex choices when choosing a health insurance policy.

I scheduled an appointment with an in network doctor. I had a physical and blood work done. Anthem told me these were covered on my plan. I was later told I needed a small surgery to correct a problem with testicles twisting around themselves. I was shocked to receive a bill from Anthem stating my procedure was not covered and I needed to pay the cost of the surgery back immediately. This was crazy. I ended up disputing this with the billing department. They are still reviewing my claim to this very day! Would not recommend this health insurance provider as the coverage is horrible and the billing seems to be falsified.

The plan that I have is called the KP Step Plan. The plan is okay for general doctor visits. However, if you have anything extra done like blood work you would be charged separate for that. The prescription coverage is great. The prescriptions are heavily discounted. The worst thing about the plan is that you can only see Kaiser doctors that are in the network.

I called for an estimate on dental work for my son and the person I talked to was not helpful at all.  She could not answer my question and I had to go back to the dentist and have them talk with people on her end to get the correct information.  The insurance company told me that a pre-approval had to be done from the dentist office, however, that was not true and it was not needed.
I have the high deductible plan and it has been cheaper overall than if I have gone with the lower deductible and higher monthly payment.
I have had no issues using my existing providers or finding good providers near by.

They sent me home and I got sick and was throwing up and when I got back they found out I had a twisted bowel. That doctor only works on the weekends so I had to sit through the whole week in the hospital because I had no place to go.

It is nice because everything is done electronically. There is no paperwork, they do not give out my information and they are readily available. Their prices are pretty good. My co-pay is $20. I can contact my doctors by email. I really like that. I have not had to file a claim yet. It is all taken care of.

I have gone there to see doctors depending on what medical problem I have but I do see one who is my personal physician. The doctors there are excellent and as well as the staff. I have been going there for 45 years now. They are the leader in the industry.
