    Tarkanian, Dr. Cynthia
Dr. Tarkanianis extremely thorough, accurate and provides excellent instructions for my dry and mono-vision eyes. She took the time to consult about having lasik on close up eye with all the pros and cons. She made sense and I am not having it done. She wound up writing me 5 prescriptions. One for bi-focal contacts (which she gave me a sample of the year before), one for distance in my close up eye and a recommendation for the reader strength I should use when that is in. Progressive lenses glasses, glasses for distance only, and glasses for computer work. She recognized the importance of how mono-vision eyes change with season and light. I changed to Dr.Cynthia Tarkanian after a recommendation from my primary care who was concerned about my eyes. She has been the only eye doctor I have gone to for the past 5 years. Not only does she provide excellent refractory readings she is a surgeon that actually cares for her patient's health. I find her very good at what she does. In fact she is the best I have ever gone to.

Saw Dr Robert Wagner. He was rushed both times that I saw him and was more interested in speeding through the exam than in providing the care that I had paid for. Next time, I will see someone else. On the bright side, the front office staff was very helpful.

Dr. Kammer was very thorough. She was very patient and answered all our questions. She found an unusual condition in the back of the cornea, and took pictures of it. The office emailed a copy of those pictures for our reference.

It went well.  It was the best experience I have had in the past 15 years since I moved to Colorado.  I have been bouncing from eye doctor to eye doctor trying to find a good one.  The focus of the appointment was on my eye health and getting the right prescription.  They have a neat imaging machine that doesn't require dilation.  There is a fee for that, but I didn't feel pressured.  I did decide to go with it and am happy I did.  I will continue to go here and the rest of my family will as well.  I plan to make an appointment for my 4 year old daughter to start her eye visits.  We do have a family history of poor eyesight and the eye doctor said she loves working with children.
I was not pressured in to buying new glasses.  I primarily wear contacts and was given a good trial pair to make sure they are correct.  I had an issue with my previous eye doctor that messed up my prescription and it was a pain to fix.  So far they've been fine, but I felt more comfortable in getting the correct set of contacts if the initial pair didn't work out.

    Walmart Vision Center
es II went here to fill an eye glass prescription provided by America's Best because Walmart's prices were cheaper. They had an offer for $35 frames and lenses. What shocked me was how rude the customer service lady was and the hidden details behind the offer. I opted to have my lenses changed but keep my frame. So they had to send it somewhere to be done. They were nice enough not to charge me the $20 fee to have it sent out to be placed, however, the gal added a bunch of "upsells" I declined such as anti glare, etc. When I realized the extra charges I called them up and they refunded my card for me over the phone right away. All in all, the experience was good, but not great!

I have never been to a real eye doctor before. In the past, checking my eyes was always apart of my annual doctor's visit, so I was completely nervous and unsure what to expect.
I actually picked this place for a couple of reasons:
    1. It accepts my vision insurance
    2. It's nearby my work
    3. They could fit me in for an appointment ASAP
Now, I don't wear glasses nor have I ever. After confirming my contact information, an assistant named Julio brought me back. I told him I was nervous and he was great at explaining everything before he performed each test.
I was most nervous about the dilation part but Julio had a great way of administering the drops.
I was impressed with the doctor and felt like I learned a lot about the importance of your eye health and how it relates to your overall health.
I am glad I went, and look forward to my next preventative exam in the future!

Used VSP and got fit for glasses.  They helped choose the correct frame for my face and were very interactive and honest in opinions. Everyone was very friendly, the office was new and designed very well. The selection is good and the pricing is comparable to most places.

    Pipkin, Dr. Shira
We were able to schedule appointments with only three days notice.  Our only references for Dr. Pipkin were from Angies list and we were very satisfied with the service and the professionalism of the office. It was close to our home -- an added bonus.
This is a full service with three optometrists on staff and several assistants.  It is in an upscale medical/professional plaza. Dr. Pipkin is located in the offices of Front Range Eye Associates. The office is modern and fully equipped with the latest equipment.
My appointment started on time and ran a little long.  I got more than my money's worth for the standard charge of the thorough eye exam.  I have been a contact lens wearer for over 20 years, but went into the appointment thinking I would have to settle for glasses.  My eyes were becoming irritated after only two hours of contact wear. The extensive exam found that my eyes were healthy and I should be able to continue wearing contacts.  Now three days later I am in new contacts and they are comfortable. I was provided prescriptions for normal glasses, progressive lenses and also left the office wearing 30 day contacts with daily wear lenses also provided as an alternative.  The office has a large inventory of contacts so they are immediately available. I was charged only for the exam and a fitting fee.  I return in a week for a follow-up check of the contacts.
My wife was treated with similar efficiency.  She left her existing frames for new prescription polarized sunglasses as well as new standard lenses.
Price for the exam was competitive with other offices in the area and even Costco which I also checked out.
Dr. Pipkin is an excellent listener and explained the exam process and her findings with me .  Her explanation was clear and easily understood.
    I am very satisfied.

    Hines, Dr. William L.
The staff and doctors are friendly and helpful. I started with a consultation to see if I was a candidate for LASIK. They recommend monovision (one eye adjusted for distance and the other for reading) for those of us over a certain age, and I went with that. I chose the custom (waveform) LASIK. I had about 3 total appointments prior to the procedure. I didn't mind because they wanted to remeasure to make sure everything is accurate. They provide plenty of information to help you decide and it's provided in a neutral way, not a hard sell. Before the procedure, I only saw Dr. Cushing and not Dr. Hines. I met Dr. Hines on the day of the procedure. Both doctors are friendly and Dr. Hines is good at setting you at ease before the procedure. He has a relaxed manner and a good sense of humor. The eye adjustments went well and I did all the follow-up eyedrops and appointments. Monovision takes a few weeks (6-8) for your brain to get used to, but you can function well during that time. I'm at 5 weeks now and still a little distracted by the effect, especially in high-contrast areas and under flourescent lights. I think I'm almost there. My distance eye is 20/20 and the reading eye sees very clearly at a reading distance. The cost for the procedure includes further adjustments if needed, up to a year I believe. For follow-up visits, the office is a little busy and I sometimes have to wait, up to a half hour. Then the visit is usually quick. Othwise, I have no complaints and highly recommend this practice.

My spouse went and this is her opinion,
    Takes our really basic insurance
The Dr. is fine and the office is convenient.
Glasses are premium prices so got them made elsewhere
