    I called to set up the appointment(s) (Both electrical and plumbing.)  The woman on the phone seemed a bit confused as to what it was, but scheduled it any way.  She told me that there was a $49 dispatch fee, and then the electrician would give me an estimate of how much the inspection would cost when I explained what I wanted.
    The plumber called to say he was on his way, and arrived on time.  I explained that I wanted to have a good idea of all the electrical problems in the home and out buildings, and a rough estimate of the cost to make repairs.  He looked around and said it would be $397.00 for the inspection, and wanted payment on the spot.
    I showed him where the service came into the main building and the 6 service panels on the property.  He spent about 2 hours and did a fairly superficial inspection.  He wanted to check all the electrical outlets to verify they were grounded and wired correctly where I was more concerned if the service coming into the home (200 Amp Service) was adequate for the 2 story home, two horse barns and tackroom/hay barn.
    He decided the 200 amps was 'probably okay,' and missed some electrical problems that I had to point out to him specifically a ceiling fixture that didnt work.
    Before he left, he told me that he would send the estimate in and that I would get it by e-mail right away.
    Before he left I got an e-mail copy of the INVOICE - the bill for the inspection(titled ESTIMATE.  I did not receive the INSPECTION or the pictures he took.  The next day, I still had not received the report, so I called and requested he re-send it.  After several hours I still had not received it so I e-mailed the office with a detailed explanation that I needed the REPORTS or ESTIMATES and that what I had received was just the INVOICE.  I was told that that was all that was in the system and that they would look at it.
    A week and several phone calls later I had STILL no received my estimate so I called again and asked for the owner, who was on vacation.  I again explained that I was very dissatisfied and either they needed to return my money or get me the reports as promised or I would pursue other action.
    The owner called me back later that evening and promised that I would have them by 8am the next morning, when he returned to town, and asked when he could call to confirm that I received the emails. I told him I would be free after 11 am.
    At 9:45pm I received another e-mail. which still didn't included the Electrical Inspection to which I replied say as much.
    On the next day, at 1:16PM, I received a series of e-mails from the office and finally received the inspection report.  I never got the promised phone call from the owner.
    I reviewed the estimates that I finally received, and found not only was the inspection less than what I expected, the prices were outrageous. 
    A bathroom exhaust fan that doesn't work: $199.00 (not including parts)
    Replace non working outdoor receptacle with GFCI (2) $212.77 each
    and my favorite:
    Required by code for your safety. (5) $212.77 each.
    I would not recommend them and I will not call them again.

    We just purchased a new house and had a laundry list of issues that were discovered once we had moved in.  These issues included 3-way switches that had been replaced with two-way switches, lights wired into the fan circuits, etc.  In addition, we had purchased and installed an insta-hot water heater under the sink and needed a dedicated plug for it to work.  Leading Edge came in and performed all the activities without issue and resolved each and every item on the list.  I will definitely use them again.
