  • Yes, both me and my wife go to him and we are very happy.  We saw him Friday a week ago today.  I had my eye exam.  My wife actually had an eye exam and her last visit was probably 2 months ago and he encourages getting glasses.  We like the convenience of location and working around our schedule.

  • Dr. May gave me a thorough exam and concluded it was Dry Eye Syndrome.
He prescribed eye drops that I need to use twice a day for the next three month until my next appointment in Dec.
Dr. May was very easy to talk to and told me my condition was very common and not to worry.

  • The staff and provider were all great with my 6-year-old son. He is pretty sensitive about his eyes and he even let them dilate! My son needed glasses and they helped him pick out just the right pair for him. They made him feel great about being the ONLY kid in his class with glasses. We are very happy with their services and the entire family will continue to visit them.

  • This was my first time going to Dr. Nunn after being dissatisfied with my previous provider.  She had come to me as a recommendation from someone at work.
All the personnel at Dr. Nunn's office were very personable, friendly, and fun.  Dr. Nunn herself was knowledgeable, caring, and seemed to really listen to my concerns.  I ended up waiting longer than I anticipated, but I believe it was due to a patient that she had before me who was exceptionally chatty.  (I could hear him).
They had a good selection of frames, and the prices were comparable to other providers.  I know others that have gone to her for over 20 years, and they absolutely don't have a bad thing to say about her.  I'm very glad that I made the switch to Sherrie Nunn, and anticipate establishing a very long relationship with her.

  • I have never been to a real eye doctor before. In the past, checking my eyes was always apart of my annual doctor's visit, so I was completely nervous and unsure what to expect.
I actually picked this place for a couple of reasons:
    1. It accepts my vision insurance
    2. It's nearby my work
    3. They could fit me in for an appointment ASAP
Now, I don't wear glasses nor have I ever. After confirming my contact information, an assistant named Julio brought me back. I told him I was nervous and he was great at explaining everything before he performed each test.
I was most nervous about the dilation part but Julio had a great way of administering the drops.
I was impressed with the doctor and felt like I learned a lot about the importance of your eye health and how it relates to your overall health.
I am glad I went, and look forward to my next preventative exam in the future!
  • Used VSP and got fit for glasses.  They helped choose the correct frame for my face and were very interactive and honest in opinions. Everyone was very friendly, the office was new and designed very well. The selection is good and the pricing is comparable to most places.

  • Kaiser were fine and did the job. They are more expensive but they are competent, seem to know what they are doing, very thorough, and easy to use because they are in the medical building there.

  • I have been seeing Dr. Abert since he opened his office a couple of years ago in Thornton.  He is EXCELLENT! I have medical issues with my eyes and I have been very impressed with how thorough he has always been.  He takes great care in providing the absolute best care possible. I even had a situation where I needed to have my eye checked immediately and he met me at the office, on his day off. How many doctors would be willing to do that? Incredible customer service! He doesn't believe in taking chances but he wants you to be happy with your vision and will do everything he can, safely, to help you reach that goal.  His bedside manner is exceptional. Almost unheard of!  I was initially leary trusting my vision to an optometrist, but I have learned to put so much trust in Dr. Abert that I can't imagine going anywhere else. I  HIGHLY recommend him! The office staff is also very helpful and accomodating. This is a top notice business!

  • The staff and doctors are friendly and helpful. I started with a consultation to see if I was a candidate for LASIK. They recommend monovision (one eye adjusted for distance and the other for reading) for those of us over a certain age, and I went with that. I chose the custom (waveform) LASIK. I had about 3 total appointments prior to the procedure. I didn't mind because they wanted to remeasure to make sure everything is accurate. They provide plenty of information to help you decide and it's provided in a neutral way, not a hard sell. Before the procedure, I only saw Dr. Cushing and not Dr. Hines. I met Dr. Hines on the day of the procedure. Both doctors are friendly and Dr. Hines is good at setting you at ease before the procedure. He has a relaxed manner and a good sense of humor. The eye adjustments went well and I did all the follow-up eyedrops and appointments. Monovision takes a few weeks (6-8) for your brain to get used to, but you can function well during that time. I'm at 5 weeks now and still a little distracted by the effect, especially in high-contrast areas and under flourescent lights. I think I'm almost there. My distance eye is 20/20 and the reading eye sees very clearly at a reading distance. The cost for the procedure includes further adjustments if needed, up to a year I believe. For follow-up visits, the office is a little busy and I sometimes have to wait, up to a half hour. Then the visit is usually quick. Othwise, I have no complaints and highly recommend this practice.

  • He is thorough and he is very knowledgeable. He has found things in our eyes that other people have missed. He helped my husband save his vision. He found a spot on my retina and determined that it was nothing too serious. He definitely knows what he is doing and takes his time with each patient.
