Westminster University Family Med: Tidler Diana L
I’ve been seeing her for probably two and half years. It’s hard to find a new doctor that you really click with when you move and that would take my insurance. I decided I just wanted to find somebody to the university system that was close. I really like her. She’s with the University for Family Medicine Program. I knew about her when I went to the university directory. I had some issues in medical history and I wanted somebody that works at the university system, that I needed a referral again and that I could get right in. Her communication is very good. She listens and answers questions. Unfortunately, she is on leave for a year but she will be back. She assured me and just in time for my annual work. She’s always been in when I needed something. Scheduling appointments is pretty easy with them because you can do it by phone or by computer. The waiting period depends on what you need to be seeing her for. It would be average. If I have an emergency and something I needed to be seen right away, I’ve always been able to get in within 24 hours so it’s either you can get in with her or one of her colleagues. The office environment is good, very nice and clean.

    Colorado Family Medicine & Geriatrics

I used Dr Singh between 2009 and 2014. He kept downsizing his staff the whole time and care really suffered for it. I finally had to switch doctors in July of 2014.

Getting a prescription was an exercise in futility. Most of the time my pharmacy would get no response to the request sent to Dr Singh to renew a prescription. I would call the office and always got a reply that there had been no fax sent to them. In fact the request was sent by an automated system to the doctor. It was never answered in time. Normally I had to ask three or four times to actually get the prescription refilled - often ending up in an argument with the office manager to please ask the doctor to answer the pharmacy request. Then my prescription insurance decided that to save money I had to use their mail order supplier and get 90-day prescriptions filled. Dr Singh refused, even though I told him this meant I would have to pay the full cost of the medicine if I used a local pharmacy. He also decided that for any future prescriptions he would only write it and give it to me. He told me it was up to me to get it filled - he didn't care if I was unable to or not. I had the same problem with referrals. He was unable to get any type of referral authorization request to my insurance. So he also decided he would no longer attempt to do it - it was up to me to do it.

In May of 2014 I developed what I eventually found out was cellulitis in both my legs. This resulted in massive swelling and loss of skin. And LOTS of pain. I had to go to the emergency room to get it diagnosed. Dr Singh would not offer any type of pain management or treat the wounds on my legs and feet. He told to just leave the wounds open and couldn't have pain medication because of my COPD - the medication would depress my breathing center too much.

I ended up back in the emergency room because of the pain. The Percocet I got did help the pain but not my breathing. The next time I saw Dr Singh he decided I had anasarca, which would lead to my death. But he would not admit me to the hospital nor make any referrals on my part to see a specialist. I would have to make all the arrangements. My insurance will NOT accept prescriptions or referrals submitted by me. He also decided I must stop all my medications because of the anasarca. This included my high blood pressure medication. I had to go back to the emergency room. I found out I did not have anasarca. This is when I was correctly diagnosed with cellulitis.

I finally switched doctors after this and have recovered fully. I had to make many trips to the wound clinic of a local hospital to get my legs healed. But it wasn't that hard. I really wish I had done it sooner, but it's hard to do after having the same doctor for so long. My new doctor has not received my medical records after six months. The requests are never acknowledged. I'm still getting billed for copays I paid during my appointments.

All considered Dr Singh has a lot of experience but his lack of compassion and caring for me made him a less than desirable choice as a doctor.

The first thing I was asked was if I had been fasting so I could have blood work done.  When I made my appointment no one stated that I would have blood work done and so therefore had not fasted.  No blood work that day. Since I was going in for a female physical, I was told to remove all clothing and wear the paper top and place the paper lap pad on my lap.  I sat there for 30 minutes before the nurse practitioner came in.  The NP was very professional and took her time with me.  She was informative and listened to my concern.  I would probably find another provider if I wanted to take the time to do so. The tech who initially checked me into the patient room was also very professional and nice.  Nothing wrong with the staff, but the time it takes to get in and out of this office is usually long.

I like almost everything about them. I like that I can contact my doctor by email, make appointments online, I can get my test results online and they will call me if they need to talk to me about anything. They will get me in on the same day if I need too. They are busy, so sometimes I have to wait. I think that I am getting better coverage with them, than I would any other company. I have been with them for years. My doctor takes his time with me. They are really good with follow-up and keeping track of me. I will continue to use them.

    Douthit Jr, Dr. John
He is thorough and very personable. If there is anything that I need, he would call back personally. He has helped me a great deal. I only see him every six months but if I need to get in in between, they would always work me in. I would continue using him. In fact, I keep my insurance where it is so that I can see him.

She was really good. I'm a nurse and even though I'm a nurse, she still spoke with me on layman's terms. She didn't assume anything. She just spoke to me very clearly and made sure that I understood everything that she was saying. She was very personable and knowledgeable. She took her time with me.

Rocky Mountain Primary Care - Westminster
They always greet us as soon as we enter the clinic.  They know us by our first and last names.  They had trouble getting his blood draw, but they just kept trying until they were able to get it.  They always treat him with dignity and care.  They follow up with a phone call to give you the results and set up an additional appointment if needed. Then, they send the information to your home address.
They only care for the older generation because that is their specialty.

    Family Medicine at Highlands Ranch
I've been seeing Family Medicine at Highlands Ranch for over 20 years and regularly over the last five years. I've been seeing them for so long, that I just stay with them. I don't see a lot of kids there. He does more physical therapy things than being quick to prescribe medications. They're quick to try other things. That's what I've always liked about him. His staff have all been working for him for as long as I can remember. His assistant is always calling to remind me of appointments and made sure some follow-up work done by another doctor got to us. The staff is very polite, very prompt and very thorough.

    St. Anthonys Senior Health Center
We moved my mom down from Ft. Collins to live with us after her second fall.  It was hard for her to leave her familiar Dr. there,
so I looked hard for a senior friendly practice here in the northern Denver area.  I found St. Anthony's Senior Health on Angie's list
and noticed the good ratings.  We gave it a try and love Dr. Cherktova.  She is attentive, good natured, and very accessible.  It has made Mom's move seamless healthcare-wise.  I wouldn't dream of taking her anywhere else.  All the staff are kind, patient, and cheerful.  We get test results back very quickly and are very satisfied with St. Anthonys.

He is very good and does take time to talk to you; which is appreciated. He listens and takes time to discuss things with you. I just went on medicare and he takes care of that for me.  I will continue to use this practice.
