    Tony's granite
Everything went very well. Tony himself was most professional and most efficient and offered excellent suggestions. His helpers and installers are top notch professionals. I recommend Tony and his team very highly. I could not be more pleased.

    Granite Depot
Granite Depot sells lemons! If you buy slabs from Granite Depot, they send your slabs up the road to Stone Crafters to fabricate. It's a total scheme and rip off! Whomever is purchasing these slabs for these places knows how to rip people off! Like this business model: Buy the crappiest high end cars you can find for pennies in other countries. Have the same high end but aesthetically beautiful cars advertised for a "blow out sale" on your lot (blow out= marked down from extremely overpriced to just overpriced). Let consumers come marvel at the beautiful selection of inventory you have available for them to purchase and put in their very own garage. Pressure them to sign the bottom line at all costs as quickly as possible and once they have, send them the high end car of their dreams, but not the one they saw and picked at the showroom! Instead, make a few extra bucks for yourself and keep your beautiful showroom inventory to bait another consumer while you send them the crappy, falling apart version of the car they selected. Then when the customer calls complaining that they're dumbfounded that a company would ever think they can operate this way, pretend you're preoccupied!

    The Counter Top Guy
I had been planning to use granite in my kitchen from another shop but just couldn't settle my mind with the choices so I kept looking and saw Jesse's write-up on Angie's for solid surface counter tops and called him. He returned my call promptly, apologetic that he had his saw running when I called and hadn't heard the phone. We made an appointment. I saw Jesse 3 times.  First to give me a rough estimate based on samples he brought and rough measurements he took. He emailed a bid the same day.  The second time was to finalize my materials choices, validate the bid, template the "naked" cabinets (the new cabinets were installed but had nothing on top) and take the new sink with him so he could install it in the counter top at his shop. He told me he would be back to install the counter tops the following week. He called the night before the install to confirm, then on install day called to say he would arrive earlier if that was OK. When he arrived he immediately set to work installing the counter tops and in just about 2 hours he was done. By done I mean the counter tops were installed, the was no damage to anything, AND the area was completely cleaned up. During all my contacts with Jesse, he was professional, no BS, gave me a fair price adjustment when I added some work at the last minute, did what he said he would do and left me feeling confident I had made the right choice. My counter tops are well-made, my sink will NEVER slip from its moorings, and I couldn't be happier with the results.  I highly recommend Jesse.

    Stellar Painting & Remodeling
Jack Wilson and Stellar were great to work with. My husband and I were taken by another contractor that we had signed a contract with for the above services. The original contractor walked away with our money half way through the job. We contacted Stellar to get a quote to finish the kitchen and repair the poor work done by the original contractor. Stellar billed us on a weekly basis for time and materials. The invoices were easy to read and they also provided the reciepts and timecards to support the invoice. Given the fact that we had just been ripped off and without a kitchen for 3 months, this was a wonderful way for us to feel confident we were dealing with an honest company. The workmanship of Stellar's employee, John, who did most of the work was of high quality. John was professional, responsive, respectful and a skilled craftsman. If John was not going to work on a certain day, we were told ahead of time so we knew no one would be working. Jack came by at least once a week to inspect the job and ensure we were on schedule. The kitchen was clean everyday after John left and John ensured that the kitchen was sealed from the rest fo the house as he did his work during the day. The subs that Jack used for the granite, hardwood floors and windows did a great job as well. We couldn't be happier with the work that was done and we would use Stellar again.

    ELK Propreties, LLC
We would never use Elk Properties or any company run by Dave Kemman again. Don't make the same mistake we made. Do not use him...EVER. He did not meet his timeline for our kitchen, the quality of his work was poor and he has breached his contract. He said the project would take 2 weeks. We are now on week 7 and we cannot locate Dave. We have been living without a kitchen for 7 weeks!!! He has not returned a call since 4/19. He has not shown up to do work since 4/17. He did not pull permits for our job which led to a stop work notice from the city. It took him a week and a half to get a permit once work was stopped. When we asked why he didn't pull a permit he said it was at our discretion. He did not tell us this at any time during the estimate phase, it was not in his contract and he never verbally told us to go get permits if we wanted them. His workers created a mess inside and outside the house. The bathroom had to be cleaned every night after they left and they threw cigarette butts in the yard and driveway. His workers damaged our newly refinished deck by cutting 2x6s on it. His workers stole tools from our garage and he has not taken actions to remedy the situation. He has not completed the work per the contract and is not reachable. He is a poorly skilled general contractor. He told us that he inspects the cabinets prior to taking delivery from the cabinet maker. He did not do this in our case as the cabinet doors and drawers were not what we ordered. We had to point it out to him as he did not inspect the cabinets when he picked them up. Dave placed an order to get the correct doors/drawers and we had to go get them. They called Dave on 3/31(I saw the notes on the invoice showing they called him) and as of 4/27 he hadn't picked them up so we had to. We also had to call the cabinet maker and get another cabinet replaced because it had scratches in 3 different areas. These are examples of his poor PM skills. An example of his poor workmanship is the new wiring he placed throughout the kitchen. All the wiring had to be pulled out by the electrician that he hired after the stop work as his workers were not licensed electricians. Per Dave's invoice he was to do all work according to the building code and non of the wiring done by his workers was to code. The kitchen isn't done yet and we have been without one for 7 weeks. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any kind of professional. Do not use Elk Properties for any project you may have as it may end up like ours.
