I have had an overall good experience with them. They are the only cable that we can have here, so there is no competition unless you want to go to satellite. Their TV goes out in bad weather. The Internet that they have is great.

Internet was finally fixed after months of problems. Good technician and good service. Unlike other times, no problems with phone support or with showing up at the wrong time.

ast. The techs had been in the area like a week before and installed a wireless system. It was interfering with my phone line system. He updated my equipment and there was no charge. I now have good and fast service and seldom get dropped. I do have to reboot the router from time to time to use my tablet or for the tv. They will work with you to bundle services for lower prices. My phone service is good as well.

I have never been so unhappy with a company. I have had trouble since the beginning. My husband died December 15,2012. In January 2013. I wrote on my bill that my husband was decease. I could not get them to change the account into my name. I sent copies of the death certificate. Still bills arrived in his name. In October of 2013 I was offer a deal that cost less than Camcast, who was my provider for the internet and TV. I was promised that  if I bundle my total bill would be lower. I already had Centurylink for my phone service. The company confirmed that  I was to receive all the bills in my name. CenturyLink did not take my husband name off of the account. They continued to withdraw automatic payments from my account. Then they started sending checks to my husband in the mail. Of course they had his name on the checks. I called them and wanted to get the billing problem worked out. But they won't talk to me, because I was not my husband and I did not have his social security number. I didn't have his SS number so they wouldn't talk to me. Now I had opened this account under my name, but they only had my husband's name. I filled out a questionnaire to get my credit approved. When they sent the papers to the credit bureau, the credit bureau denied my application. Guess what, Centurylink sent the application in my dead husband name. He didn't have any credit rating.  He no longer had a rating I finally got that straighten out.   When I signed up they give me 3 months of premium channels. I did not use this service. I called in Nov to cancel the service. The gal I talked told me, I didn't have to cancel the service until the end of December. I told her that I wanted it noted in my records that I had cancelled the service. I got my January bill and Direct TV had not cancelled my service and had charged me for the month. I called Centurylink who told me to call Direct TV. I called Direct TV and after they checked my records they saw I had cancelled the service in November. They assured me I would be sent a credit from they. I asked them if I should take that portion of my payment off my bill. He said "Yes" I sent in that months payment. The following month I had not received credit. I tried to call Direct TV. They told me I had to contact Centurylink. I called Centurylink and was told to deal with Direct TV. I explained that I had tried to contact them. but they wouldn't talk to me since my account was with Centurylink. I again explained that I could not contact Direct TV. The lady I was talking to then contacted Direct TV and we had a 3 way conversation.  I asked Direct TV to check my records and they would see I had called each month trying to get the credit on my account. Finally I got ahold of a supervisor. He checked my information and saw how many times I had called trying to take care of my bill. I was told that I would receive that full credit on Aprils bill. While still on the line I asked the lady from Century Link if that would take care of my account. My account should be zeroed out.  Last night I opened my mail and had a letter from a collection company. Comcast had sent them a bill saying I owed them money. I was never contacted by Centurylink about this problem. I had called every month trying to get the money that was on my bill taken off, because I did not owe them anything. I called the collection company and asked what was this about. She told me I didn't pay a bill to Centurylink in Nov. (Please keep in mind Centurylink never told me anything about this.) I checked my records and found the cancelled check for the amount the collection company was talking about. Collections told me I needed to write a letter protesting the amount due. I told her nothing was due. My account was completely paid. I was advised to send them the letter protesting the notice.I wished I would have never changed my service. I have been "jerked" around by Centurylink. I have fought with them trying to get the bundle I signed up for. Centurylink information me that they NEVER offered a deal for internet service for $19.99 for 5 years. I was told that the only deal they had offered was for $29.99. I faxed a copy of the back of my bill that offered the $19.99. They informed me that when that offer was offered the salesperson had not told me about all the taxes and other various charges. This changed cost me a lot of money. The installation fee were huge. If I thought I could go back to Comcast without a hassle, I would. But I am afraid that Centurylink was charge me another $365.00 to cancel my service. I would not ever recommend Centurylink to anyone. I am so angry with them.  Thank you, Dawn Matson

I would not recommend CenturyLink due to their pricing scams, although I am not sure there is anyone that is very competitive either.
