  • I was told it would be two weeks for completion but that did not happen and that was August 17, 2015. Joe, the salesman was very nice but you have to keep calling for someone to show up to do the work. When they came to do the window sills the workers had no sandpaper or saner and the stain was the wrong color. One delay. A female had come out to look at the entire job and when asked if she was there to begin she said no she had other jobs. They give you a very impressive folder with letters and their achievements but I would imagine that is on new homes not repairs. The west side had hail damage and it was scraped, never sanded. If I knew it was going to look that way I would have done it myself. Paperwork says a 10 year warranty but they only give you five for peeling. I would say this will be peeling in less that one year. One panel of siding was supposed to go where an outside faucet and electrical outlet for wiring was but Joe never told me until it came down to the last wire that they cannot do that panel because they do not disconnect anything. I wish I would have known that first. The workers were going to take the extra wood I paid for but I stopped that quickly. They still have not bee out to do the gutter and downspout and the proposal was done on August 9, 2015. The workers just show up when they want and when they are scheduled they do not. I would not recommend this company for repair work, maybe if you have a new home with no sun or hail damage.

  • J.R., Greg, and Crew,
I cannot begin to thank you enough for all of your effort and hard work you put in to complete and do this job!  I found myself in, what I thought to be, an unwinnable situation.  When I discovered that I have several cracked and broken fiber-cement boards around my house due to poor manufacturing quality and defects, I was beside myself.  This was even more exasperated when most contractors said to rip-off and replace the whole siding, paint over the cracks and no-one would notice, or simply walked away saying, "We don?t want to touch this situation."
When Greg came to my house to look at the situation, he said? ?We can do that!? (replace only the cracked and broken fiber cement boards).  I was skeptical because of my how so many other contractors reacted when I asked them the same questions and also of my knowledge of how brittle the fiber cement siding can be.  To re-assure me, J.R.  (the owner of High West) came out to look at the situation, described how he would approach replacing the cracked siding w/o causing damage to the siding above and below the bad pieces.  His confidence and knowledge helped me trust that he knew what he was doing and how to do it right.
What impressed me most about High West was their willingness to go the extra mile and their quality of their work.  When there were delivery issues (2 times), they made the trek up to Denver to get the right materials so that the project would not be delayed.  They worked hard, we laughed, and helped make a bad situation turn out as best as I could have hope for.
In some cases, there are people who are jacks-of-all-trades and master of none, but with J.R. and his experience, he truly is a jack-of-all-trades and a master of the house building and remodeling business!  I was impressed by his knowledge, the emphases of doing things the correct way (even when it was beyond what ?code? requires) and his insistence from himself and his crew(s) in doing quality work.
So, if there are any people who need to replace the cracked fiber cement siding on your house because of poor manufacturing, give High West a call!  I highly recommend them to fix, repair, and replace the damaged siding at a fair and reasonable price? and if I were to build a house in the future, I would hire them in a heartbeat!
    Thanks J.R., Greg, and Crew!!!
    Sincerely, Paul B

  • First of all, Mike is an outstanding professional and a true gentleman.  He is one of the nicest guys I've ever met.  He did an outstanding job of educating us about various options and the benefits of steel over other types of siding or stucco.  There was absolutely NO pressure, which I really appreciated.
We took some time to decide, as this is a major project, and after doing lots of homework, we decided steel was the way to go.  I have repainted our house myself a couple of times, and just didn't want to pay for professional painting knowing I'd have to do it all over again in a few years.  We considered stucco, but preferred to keep the same look and style of our home instead of changing to the look of stucco.
Mike was very responsive with scheduling and making sure everything was in line.   We have dogs and a fenced back yard, so we needed to be sure gates were closed and there weren't scraps of metal around at the end of the day that would hurt the dogs.  The installers were absolute professionals all the way.  They kept the work site clean and closed the gates at the end of every day.  They always checked with us to see if it was ok for them to work on weekends, and were very respectful.
I was also impressed with the meticulousness of their work.  They took their time to make certain every line, every angle and every cut was just right.  Such attention to detail and pride in workmanship is sadly rare these days, but these guys have that "old fashioned" work ethic and they are not satisfied unless it is just right and the customer is 100% happy.  They treated our home and property as if it was their own.
My wife has been teasing me because I have been going outside just to look at how nice our house looks now.  I know that might sound crazy, but it really is fun to look at it and enjoy how nice it looks...and to know I'll never have to paint it again!  Yes!!  We have also noticed that our home is warmer with the extra insulation, and we can't hear the wind against the house like we used to.  I am looking forward to reduced heating costs!
I can't say enough good things about Mike and Peakview.  Mike is a man of integrity and is worthy of your trust.  Peakview obviously cares about making sure their customers are 100% happy, and their professional installers couldn't have been better.
I enthusiastically recommend Mike and Peakview.  This is a big decision and a major project.  You can be confident that Mike and Peakview will treat you right and make sure you are happy with their work.
Well done guys!  Thanks for a job well done!  God Bless you!
    Jeff Henry

  • We signed a contract in October to get the work done.  They said it would take 2-3 weeks to start the work.  They finally finished it on March 25th.  They were sporadic about returning calls or responding to correspondence.  I sent documentation to them to sign on April 8th stating their is no lien on the property so the insurance company will release the rest of the payment.  As of today I have heard nothing from them.   The quality of the work is excellent and they said they did a little extra to make up for the delay.  They were very professional when they were hear doing the work and very courteous the times we did speak with them on the phone.  The request for repairs did come after some major hail storms and very high winds so the length of time could have been because of getting backed up on a lot of jobs.
