    Unfortunately I referred Mike to a client. After numerous attempts to reach him (both client and I) after his initial no-show/no-call appointment, he came to give a quote that he did not stand by. From the time that he provided that initial quote until completion of the work, it was 32 days of zero contact. 32 days! We counted. His bid pricing was great and he was able to complete the work on time, so my client contracted him. By the time we were 1/2 way into the lack of communication issue, we were stuck - no time for another to take on the work. We were up agains the gun to close the deal, so after begging him to come complete the work he promised, he came to do so. He "didn't have time" to do the work the "cheap way" so he had to go to plan B. It cost my client an extra $1650. Complete lack of communication, zero professionalism, zero integrity.

    Rooter Town
    A home inspection on Saturday, 3/1/2014 (in conjunction with the sale of our home) uncovered a partial obstruction in our sewer line, documented by video recording. The buyers requested that the obstruction be cleared.  Ruben with Rooter Town came to our home on 3/3/14 and jetted the line followed by camera inspection. It was not until after services were performed that he informed us that he was unable to make a video recording of the camera inspection, the standard of service in the industry.  Ruben wrote on our invoice that our lines were ���free of obstruction���.  We naively believed that we had paid $600 to have a service performed, and we took his word for it.  We did not know that we had been lied to. The next day we learned that the written invoice documenting ���sewer lines free of obstruction��� would not be acceptable to the homebuyers.  We called the Rooter Town office to discuss the camera inspection and ask again about the video recording.  She was surprised to be told that they could to the video recording, but that they would have to again charge us $150 dollars.  Another company was recommended by our realtor who could do the camera inspection and video recording at substantially lower cost, so we chose to wait an additional day for them to come.    Discount Rooter brought a camera to our home on 3/5/14 to produce video documentation of sewer lines ���free of obstruction���.  We did not expect them to uncover the same obstruction that had been ���cleared��� by Ruben two days before.   When we contacted Rooter Town about these findings, they insisted that the second company was wrong, or that the obstruction had ���recurred,��� a possibility that the second company says was impossible based on the equipment that they used.  The manager at Rooter Town used unprofessional and misogynistic language on the phone with my wife, and never made any effort to address the inconsistent findings on the camera inspections by Rooter Town and Discount Rooter, short of us paying them to perform the same service they had already been paid to perform. In attempting to resolve the issue to the satisfaction of the homebuyers, we chose to have Discount Rooter return with other equipment two days later to jet the line (at our cost), but they said that since we had already paid the camera fee they would not charge again for the same service, and would again provide video recording documentation.   Eventually they showed that at the site of the ���cleared obstruction,��� the pipe was collapsed to �� the original diameter, and could never be cleared with jetting or any other means short of digging up and replacing the pipe.  Ruben and the business manager were unhelpful and unprofessional despite multiple attempts to discuss the situation with them between 3/3/14 and 3/7/14.  We have filed complaints with Angie���s list and with the Better Business Bureau.  We believe that their lies to us in person (about video recording), and on the invoice (about the line being clear) are truly appalling.  We do not feel that they deserve any payment from us, when the services they ���performed��� had to be repeated by another company at our cost on account of these two lies.  Additionally, the delays resulting from the lies, and the incorrectly diagnosed pipe condition contributed to the loss of the contract for our home.

    $99 Rooter LLC
    At first I was a little concerned as they showed up in their private vehicles, not company trucks...seems they act as subcontractors to $99 Rooter.  When they set up their routing machine they didn't put up any plastic sheeting to protect any spray from the fast turning machine which does tend to spray out when pulling the router back.  That all being said, when they started the actual cleaning they did an good job and were knowledgeable and performed a quality job.  We had cleaned the line before and knew that the root ball was out at the tie into the main so that took some of the surprises out.
    Once they took the router out two times we requested a video which was the best $99 you can spend as it shows if there are any breaks or pipe displacements which would be cause for a line repair.  They were honest in their assessment of the condition of the line and didn't try to push for the $10,000 line replacement which happens way too much in this industry when its not needed. For $199 I have a clean line and a DVD of the condition, that is a great deal and I recommend this company for their knowledge and integrity.

    Noticed wet carpet in basement and checked to find floor drain was backed up. I called $99 Rooter about 9:30 am and they were at my house by 1:00 pm. The serviceman (Brent) was very professional and experienced and had my drain flowing in no time. I had my furnace/ac serviced recently and a lot of dust etc got in the drain and backed it up.
     
    I checked Angie's List and selected this company because they had an "A" rating and many reviews. I live south of Parker and the company did charge me a trip charge of $40.  I was told this when I made the service call and decided to use $99 Rooter anyway because of their excellent rating and reviews.

    My tenants called at 7:30 pm with sewer water draining into the bathroom shower. All toilets were clogged. Jason drove from Parker to SE Littleton immediately, called with the details and had it fixed within half an hour. He also set me up with a restoration company to begin cleanup. Jason was terrific and the price and urgency cant be beaten.
