    Monumental Construction LLC
Dan completed both the gutter work and the framing work very well. The framing job was rather complex to work around existing furnace ductwork, electrical, gas and water lines and all kinds of other challenges. I was very pleased with his attention to detail and working to keep my existing finish such as carpets, walls and other areas in good shape so I did not have to complete a whole redo of the area. Dan and his team were very professional and polite in completing their work.

    Regan Renovation and Painting
Mickey and team (as well as Kimberley) were great! They were able to do the repairs (window sills and fence gate) as well as the painting of the entire house, body and trim. The quality of the work and attention to detail were the best we've ever seen. The house looks better than new. We highly recommend Regan Renovation and Painting!

    Robert J Gee Construction LLC
Bob is a great person to work with. On time, great communication, attention to detail and a very skilled craftsman as well. His time estimate for the work was accurate, he showed up on time, put in a full day and was always willing to answer your questions. I was a publishing editor, and as such, am a stickler for detail, when Bob finished, his work was excellent. Hire him with confidence, he is one of the few craftsman left.

    Rollin Trim And Cabinetry
The job was to have taken 4 weeks with a 2 man crew. Only 1 man came once in a while and not with any regularity.  It began 9-9-2010 and Mr. Rollin pronounced it "complete" on 12-17-2010- 16 weeks later.  It is still incomplete (6-26-2011) and we are in court with him.  We paid for all materials and labor, we were left with a demolished front porch, ill-fitting inferior sliding doors that we did not approve (they were to have been quality, custom doors but the ones installed are cheap and do not open correctly- he installed them while we were away from home) and windows that are smaller than they should have been- they were mis-sized by Marco Rollin and caused us extra in drywalling and painting costs. We now need to purchase all new blinds. We had no electricity in 1/3 of our house (the guest rooms & bathrooms) during the holidays while company was visiting. Calls to him to correct the situation went unanswered and our company had to move to a hotel. He will say that he can perform certain tasks but then will have his crew learn on your dime.  He is not qualified in many of the areas that he claims to be- he can only build and install expensive cabinets & trim houses.  He is expensive.  His communication skills are weak. His estimates and invoices are incomprehensible and confusing and he will go over budget by at least 30%. If you have items that you want to re-use (lighting, blinds, doors, etc.) be specific or they will be thrown away. Do not let them begin until they have a roll-off in place or you will have nails, glass and construction debris everywhere.
Mr. Rollin will accept your estimate and the job but will not sign a contract.  He will go way over budget without clearing the expense.  He will not pay the total that he owes his subcontractors, but will pay himself.  He will then advise the subs to put a lien against your house.  Should you decide to use him, get everything signed and in writing, hold him to the budget and the time frame. He will not show up when promised.  Keep track of the hours and work done by him & his crew- it will not match his final invoices. He will give you an hourly rate, his subs will charge him a different hourly rate and he will pass the difference along to you.  If you let him buy the materials they will be marked up way more than the norm. He will want you to buy the materials when he can't afford them and will tell you that they are at his cost. They won't be- he will have his suppliers mark them up.  If you buy the materials check what is delivered- there will be missing supplies and wrong-sized items that will cost you in time and money later in the job. Do not allow him access when you are not at home as work could be done that you do not approve.
His inefficiency will cause extra expense that he will then try to pass along to you. He will not correct his mistakes or mediate- you will end up in court.  I say all of this with regret, as he is my neighbor and I wanted to give him the job to help support his family during the economic downturn. It turned out to be a nightmare.

John Henze is a consumate professional. He listens to the customer's ideas and concerns, offers alternative solutions, but in the end flawlessly follows whatever decision the customer chooses. He is personable, punctual, fastidious, and detailed. In short, John Henze is a true craftsman. I hesitate to provide this report only because I know it may lead to him acquiring enough new business that he won't be available for my next project. If that's the case, I'm okay. I'll wait. His work is well worth waiting for!
