Jesse is the best electrician in town. His prices are reasonable, he's extremely professional, he cleans up after himself (which is a big deal), and he shows up when he says he will. He's very in-demand recently, but he really goes above and beyond, not just in the level of care and worksmanship, but also in his responsiveness and willingness to fit you in to his very busy schedule.

Ruben Sanchez is professional, knowledgeable, prompt and efficient. He was able to guide me to the most bang for my buck. I loved that he is prompt to return calls, and  keeps appointments to the minute. I chose Ruben on the basis of referrals by 2 acquaintances, and  am very glad I followed their advice.

Lousy: original bid from contractor was $2,000 and they said this would probably be  on the high end. Contractor had time to review layout of existing kitchen/dining room and was briefed by general contractor as to what we wanted. Examples of poor workmenship: contractor installed lighting next to a hole that needed finish ceiling work, we had to have someone undo fixture installation and finish sheet rock work, they used old GFI outlet in newly constructed Island even after they had purchased and billed us for new one to match the one they had already installed. We had to have some else install new GFI so it would match the one already installed. They left circuit box open in gargage. No one would of known it was there if we had not inspected it. Several wall switches were recessed so deep after they covered them the were rendered almost useless and had to be raised by some one else at our  additional expense. We never Knew when they were coming to finish work. First bill sent in 12/14/13 was for $876.93 , we thought that was the final bill then on 1/12/14 we recieved a second bill for $1,981.86 dated 12/17/13. This really was the first bill. The total cost amounted to a 25% over run. I asked for a reason for the over-run and all they said they needed more labor costs. We were left a box of fixtures/wire some of which could have been returned but instead were just left with us.n

    LORD ELECTRIC
Here is what happened and why we needed an electrician. The lights in our master bath and bedroom went out. After a few hours, we discovered that all four smoke alarms were on the same circuit and were making that maddening beep, beep. It could drive you crazy. Since we had just bought our house in Pagosa Springs, we did not know who to call to help us with this problem. I called a friend and he highly recommended we call Marvin Lord at Lord Electric. I called, left a message and Mr Lord responded within the hour. Remember these things are going Beep, Beep. He came right over and made quick work of the beeping smoke alarms by replacing the batteries for us. One of those is attached to the ceiling over 16 ft high. I would never have been able to get to it except with a shotgun.
Marvin diagnosed the short problem and found a couple of wires that were touching in an electric switch box that has 4 switches to control the electric lights, vent fan etc. in the master bath. It was a very quick fix once the location of the electric short was found. We asked Mr Lord to return to replace some lighting fixtures that we had purchased for our new place. Marvin sent his son, also an electrician out to do this job. The job was scheduled and completed in a courteous and professional manner. We feel like Marvin and his family are new friends. We highly recommend Lord Electric of Pagosa Springs.

    Wire Werx Electric
Dylan Laner gave us an accurate bid on our new construction garage and upstairs guest apartment. He completed the work on schedule and worked efficiently with our builder. Dylan worked weekends and evenings when needed. He anticipated wiring issues and assisted us with planning outside outlets, outside motion lights, lighting fixtures and placement inside the garage, and lighting fixtures and placement in the upstairs guest apartment. I requested outside electrical boxes some distance from the garage so I will be able to have Christmas lights on trees at the entrance to our driveway. Dylan came up with a solution for how to place wiring underground to the entrance to our driveway and designed outside outlets for our Christmas decorations. The required electrical inspections were always 100% passed.

    BEARWIRE ELECTRIC
He wired our new home for construction. There were a number of call-backs to fix things not done. He was very tardy in correcting mistakes and responded begrudgingly concerning unfinished work. Recenlty we requested a call-back for additional work and after 2 months, we have not heard back from him. This seems to be a pattern in that others who have requested his service, also failed to receive call backs,

    Pagosa Electrical Service, LLC
We contacted Tim from a newspaper ad in the Pagosa Springs newspaper I believe it was.
My wife and I are quite picky about people doing work on our house, seems hard to find people that are competent and have the character to work hard and be trustworthy. We were extremely happy with Tim and his work.
We paid $70 per hour.  Overall based on the quality of his work, his work pace, and good advice, we judge that to be a much better option than having someone come in for a bit less per hour that is not as good.     We plan to use him for all our future electrical needs without hesitation.

    No Shorts Electrical Services LLC
Our home had just been inspected for the buyers of our house, and this inspector indicated the problem of our not having heavy enough and/or too little wire connected to accommodate all our appliances. He thought we needed more extensive and expensive service done to correct the problem. Jesse told us that was unnecessary. We just needed one more wire as the one that was in our panel box WHICH he supplied for FREE. Jesse came over, promptly after our phone discussion, checked out what was needed. He thoroughly explained the entire procedure and the why he was going to do it. He went for the wire needed, came back, installed it as we watched. He explained, step-by-step what he was doing. Then, he went another step further by documenting on our invoice, for the benefit of the buyers and inspector, what we had essentially needed and that that was sufficient rather than what the inspector had told us and had indicated in his report to the buyers. I was, then, able to fax this invoice to our realtor so she could send it to the buyers and inspector.
