    I am sorry to say I did not have a positive experience in Dr. Cook?s office & that this is the only negative review I have ever written on a doctor.
    I went to see Dr. Christopher Cook on 9/5/14 for foot pain. I waited for over an hour to see him, as he was busy seeing 3 other patients, who were also scheduled at that time.
    Dr. Cook confirmed that I did have metatarsalgia, which I had personally diagnosed from my own research. He felt that the original problem originated from a possible fracture in one foot, rather than a Morton?s Neuroma, as I had personally thought. He ordered X-rays. After they were taken, I asked the assistant if the dr. could look at my X-rays & tell me if he could see a fracture. She rudely told me "no, the dr. has other patients & is too busy to talk to you.?
    The assistant told me that I would find out the results of my X-rays in 6 weeks, at which time I was to return to the office (pay for another office visit) & have additional X-rays taken (pay for additional X-rays). I said that I?d like to know the results of my X-rays sooner than 6 weeks. She flatly stated that I would have to wait until my follow-up appointment. 
    I told her that I really didn?t want to wait that long to know whether or not the doctor saw a fracture in my X-rays. I asked her if the dr. would be able to look at my X-rays later that day & get back w/me. The assistant was argumentative, but reluctantly agreed that she would have the dr. look at the X-rays sometime that afternoon & that she would call me at home later that afternoon with the results. I asked her 3 times to have her verbally confirm that she would definitely call me, because she gave me definite impression that she didn?t want to. She assured me that she would call me later that day. She never did call me back---not that day, or ever. Nor did Dr. Cook ever call me. 
    I telephoned Dr. Cook?s office at least 20 times asking that someone please return my calls & simply let me know whether or not Dr. Cook had been able to see a fracture in my X-rays. Neither Dr. Cook, nor his assistant, nor his receptionists ever responded to these numerous requests. 
    The assistant actually made it impossible for me to speak to the Dr. about my X-rays either in person or on the phone.
      Dr. Cook?s staff could have easily informed me of this over the telephone, yet they adamantly insisted that I make (& pay) for another appointment & additional X-rays, before receiving any information about the X-rays which I had just had taken & paid for. I would have been satisfied with any response at all from Dr. Cook concerning my X-ray results. A simple ?yes, you have a fracture?, ?no, you don?t have a fracture" or "I can?t tell by the X-rays whether you have a fracture or not? would have sufficed. I I never received a response from Dr. Cook or his staff with an answer to my question.
    Dr. Cook?s office refused to deviate from their routine/policy by even taking the time to telephone & inform me about my X-ray results. I feel that the assistant was not only disrespectful, but dishonest by not following through with a telephone call, which she assured me that she would do. 
      I also asked the assistant if she would please email me a copy of the bill which had been sent to my insurance company. She never did this either. I called the office back several times requesting a copy of my bill, but they would never would never send me one. They told me to contact the billing agency for a copy of my bill, which I did.
    Dr. Cook gave me a post opt shoe during my appointment. I was told that insurance did not pay for a post op shoe & that I would need to pay for it personally at that time, which I did. When I received a copy of my bill, I saw that my insurance company had also been billed & had paid for the post opt shoe. Upon my request, Dr. Cook?s billing agency agreed to reimburse me for the cost of the post opt shoe, which they had accepted payment for twice.
    I wrote a letter to Dr. Cook expressing my concern. I told him that I would greatly appreciate a response or a confirmation that he had received my letter. I never heard back from him.
    I feel that this office was much more concerned about obtaining my insurance information than they were in communicating with me & helping me understand my diagnosis. Their priority seemed to be profit rather than patients.
      I called Dr. Cook?s office & told them that I would like to come by to pick up my records & a copy of my X-rays.
    Upon picking up the office notes, I initially thought that they must be someone else?s.  They appeared inaccurate & untrue.  There are many areas of examination listed which Dr. Cook did not examine, but which he had stated that he had assessed. My records state that these areas are all normal, although he did not assess them during the 15 minutes that I met w/him. I have no idea what many of the things he listed on my records as having been examined even are.  Hammer toes & osteoarthritis were noted, yet they were never mentioned during my exam. He also noted that I had no nasal discharge or psychiatric symptoms, which I found to be interesting information included in my podiatry records. Yet he did not include a final diagnosis for my foot pain nor mention my X-ray results.  
    Recommendation in my office notes states that Dr. Cook ?reviewed with the patient their history?, which is not true. He did not even ask me if I knew how I might have fractured my foot. He stated that he had discussed ?the patient?s above pathologies, relationship to their symptoms, expected course & treatment options.? This is not true. My records state ?questions & concerns were each addressed in turn & they (referring to me) verbalized their (referring to my) understanding?  This is totally untrue. The Dr. & his assistant absolutely refused to reveal my X-rays results to me.  My questions & concerns were not addressed, not the day of the appointment nor any day thereafter. I definitely did not ?verbalize my understanding?.
    It is now one year later, 9/2015, & another podiatrist, who I am currently seeing, has requested a written radiology report from Dr. Cook's office for my X-ray results from 9/2014.
    I had given the CD (copy of my X-rays) & office notes from Dr. Cook?s office to my new podiatrist. My new podiatrist?s office was unable to read the computer program & the results of my X-rays. He then asked that I request Dr. Cook?s office fax a written radiology report to him, which I did. Dr. Cook's office staff told me that they would do this, although they never did, even after numerous follow-up calls from both myself & the office of my new podiatrist. Dr. Cook?s office would only send office notes from my initial visit, not a written radiology report.
    Dr. Cook's office staff told me that he had not written a report on my X-rays. My new podiatrist told me that doctors are legally required to write a radiology report on all X-rays & patients are entitled to that information. Dr. Cook?s office refuses to provide a written radiology report & will only supply the office notes either to myself or the requesting physician.
    One year after my X-rays were taken & a month & half after my new podiatrist & I requested a written radiology report from Dr. Cook?s office, we still have not been supplied with one.
    I recently telephoned Dr. Cook?s office & once again kindly requested a written radiology report for my new podiatrist. I went back to his office on 9/11/15 to pick these up. The 2 receptionists were rudely unresponsive. They stood in the adjoining room & I had to ask them to please come over to the counter, so that I wouldn?t have to talk so loudly. They knew who I was & that I was there to pick up my X-ray results. When I told the receptionist that it was now one year later & I still didn?t know whether or not my foot had been fractured, she very loudly & very rudely insisted that the office had documented that they had already told me my foot was not fractured. This is totally untrue & the first time that I had heard anything of that nature. Had someone actually informed me of that, I would have asked what my new diagnosis was. Nor would I have been telling people for the past year that my foot was fractured. A fracture was the last diagnosis that Dr. Cook had given me during my initial office visit.  Office notes assess both a stress fracture & neuroma.
    The receptionist yelled at me, refused to even let me speak, complete my sentences or try to explain my situation. I was shocked. I was given a copy of my X-rays & once again I was given a copy of the office notes.
    I returned to the office a short time later, after realizing that once again I had been given a copy of the office notes rather a radiology report. I once again requested a radiology report, rather than the office notes. Another receptionist, who had also been present when I?d come into the office earlier, was quite angry from the moment I walked in, refused to let me speak more than 2 or 3 words before breaking in & yelling at me. I asked her to ?please let me speak & explain myself.? She would not let me speak. I told her ?I did not like speaking in that tone or at that level? & I walked out of the office. 
    The two yelling receptionists were unbelievably ill-mannered, impolite & offensive. I was totally shocked at their attitude & demeanor. There were no other patients in the waiting room during these times & I don?t believe that they would have behaved that way, had there been other patients present. Dr. Cook?s receptionists were extremely discourteous, unnecessarily unkind & disrespectful.
    Dr. Cook has been the most unhelpful, inattentive doctor &  some members of his staff are undoubtedly the rudest, most unprofessional office personnel that I have ever encountered in my life. In my experience with this office, Dr. Cook exhibited extremely poor doctor/patient communication & staff members displayed shockingly unacceptable customer/patient relations.
