  • Pete and his crew were great to work with. He was a one stop shop and hired out his own subs when his crew wasn't able to complete the work. They were very responsive to my wishes while also providing great background that helped me in my decision making along the way. The entire project was done in 3 weeks. I work from home, and while there were times I wouldn't have been able to be on client calls, it was all well known and I was able to easily work around the crew. The crew was very respectful of my home and cleaned up really well at the end of each work day. Pete was very quick to address any questions and issues I encountered along the way, resolving all right away.

  • Prior to tear down asbestos testing was done and I had to complete mitigation prior to any tear down was done. I appreciated that the company cared about me and their employees to have the testing done prior to taking down a wall. They were very accommodating with my work schedule (worked some night shifts during the remodel). The team asked my input many times during the process and they were receptive to my suggestions. The end result was awesome! I love my new kitchen!!

  • We Had Greg Come out and discuss the project with us. We discussed Total Bathroom replacement on our upstairs bath that was 60 plus years old, what we could do and what kind of materials we could choose with in our Budget. Greg went shopping with us and helped us in the design aspects, colors, tiles for the floor and walls, the new bath tub and all the fixtures. He tore everything out and found the sub floor was rotten, and floor joists needed work and mold remediation in the lower walls and floor joists. He replaced a lot of the sub floor and rebuilt areas such as the window opening which was installed incorrectly by a national company, I wont mention their name here. HmDpo LOL Anyway The bathroom turned out Great, we have a beautiful Travertine floor, wall tile to the ceiling with a great diagonal accent stripe, and oiled bronze fixtures, new paint, and everything right on time and in budget just as we discussed. We wont have anyone else do any work to our house again, and are already planning the next project with J. T. & C. now. Thank you for the great work Greg!

  • I truly appreciate that Doug was willing to complete this task. We were under a very strict timeline and despite adding additional tasks, he was able to complete everything additional that I threw his way. He was reasonably priced for the amount of time and labor he put into the job.

  • So-so. The tile folks never showed up when they said they would, they used the wrong color grout on the shower floor. The project was to take 3 days, it took over 2 weeks. Stellar was to repair the drywall in the ceiling but when it came down to doing the work they realized it hadn't been put in the quote and wanted to charge an additional $400+ to complete the job...and blamed me for not having noticed it in the quote. The work was done, I can't say it was to my satisfaction but at least I have a functional shower again. On the up side, all of the folks that came to my home to do the work were very nice and respected me and my home. If you decide to go with Stellar be sure your quote is 100% correct, and still expect change orders, they charged me $56 to cut down my bathroom door, a task that took 10 minutes which they did without my approval. Keep them on a schedule or be willing to be "worked in" when they can. A small project can take weeks more than it needs if you don't. I would use Stellar again but only if I had ample time to wait for the work to be done and pour over the quotes line by line.

  • Martin is very professional and a hard worker. He was always punctual and courteous. He does very good work and I intend to hire him again in the future. He did both my bathrooms, and they look great. He was always on time and finished the projects within the time frame that he gave me.

  • What a great team!!! They took out the old caulk and put new caulk on. they did say 72 hours of no showers. The tub downstairs you can still stick your finger nail into it. and it has beed 6 days. I will give them a call and see what they say about that. Great work!!!

  • It all went wonderfully. Took about 3 months for all of it.

Jack was a pleasure to work with, very organized and had a lot of good ideas to help with the initial design.

Painting was superfast, took about a week to remove popcorn, texture, and paint whole house inside and out. The painting is of really good quality.

The designer that they worked with (Connie) was amazing with not only colors but tile layouts for the remodel phase of the project. The tile work is really good.

The person doing the tile had never worked with epoxy-grout before, so there is a little hazing on a couple of the first small tiles he did, but otherwise it's all pretty impeccable. Otherwise no complaints on any of of the other work, especially the tile work in general (he was a master at that). Good drywall work and repair as well.

I also liked the week-to-week billing as every week I was presented with a very detailed itemization bill. It also means I could cancel the work at anytime, though I didn't have to.

The only complaint was that there was the main builder and his assitant, yet they billed me the same for both of them (each paid the same hourly on the weekly bill).

I did have an issue a few years after the work was done though. A pipe in the new shower started leaking. I called Jack and he sent out a crew to repair it and any associated drywall at no cost. Now that's standing behind your work and why I will use them again should I need those services, and also why I personally recommend them to my friends and family (and now Angie's list).

  • I would have to give him a "Just Ok" rating, the beginning went great, Don had a great plan for installation, but when it came down to it the grout lines were off and the results were not as planned.  When I asked questions about the lines he got very nippy with me and said "its not done yet, wait till I'm  done"!  He didn't own a tile float, or safety glasses, Bad sign!  Every Tile guy I have known owns at least 4-5 floats and 2 or 3 pairs of safety glasses

Overall for what I paid it was "OK", but not the quality I was looking for, more like a non professional type handyman with little experience in laying tile.

    Bottom Line:  Would Not Recommend

  • Steve started with the bathroom floor. Takes the time to do it right. Excellent job. Then he installed tiles on our front porch steps and doorway entry. Again, superb job done efficiently and in a timely manner. He remodeled the kitchen, adding countertops, built a trash bin to replace compactor, moved cabinets and reinstalled. Installed appliances, and generally did this all quickly, quietly, and with excellent craftsmanship. Very good finish carpenter. He explains what he will be doing, and works with you to get the results you desire. We will definitely use him in the future.
