Stucco Repair reviews in Monument

    King Stucco
King Stucco installed stucco on an existing home for us and did a terrible job. We had all kinds of issues and eventually had to kick them off of the job and hire another contractor to fix their work. We still have an outstanding issue with the roof that they damaged. Several sections need to be replaced and they won't take care of it. We have tried to get their insurance company to pay for the damages, but they won't process the claim without King Stucco's approval and they refuse to do anything about it. Stay far away from this company and never do business with them. They're always late, if they show up at all, never communicate, some of the worst quality work I have ever seen, and they won't fix the things they do wrong.

While it was the most expensive bid we received, we got more than our money's worth. Peter is very knowledgeable and direct and did exactly what he said he would do. The multi-step, thorough process he and his crew use gave us a world-class result. Our house looks beautiful! And Peter's crew was excellent and very professional. They worked hard and had great attention too detail. They cleaned up every day and addressed any and all concerns throughout the project. Peter and his crew even came out one last time to touch up some spots and repair some stucco after we had our deck removed. I would use Carroll Painting again and highly recommend them.

    Colorado Stonework
I phoned several contractors and left messages. Niko Paloka, the owner of Colorado Stonework got back to me that very evening. He made time in (what I now know is a really busy schedule!) to come out the very next day and give us an estimate. He was so knowledgeable, offered excellent advise and emailed us a quote the next day. We had no idea just how delighted we were going to be with Niko and his crews. From day one, everyone was prompt, courteous, made certain that we understood what they were doing and asked us questions if they ran into any areas that they were unsure about our preferences. They guys were all gentlemen, very fun to have around, cleaned up every single day, and have some of the best work ethics I have seen in years. Niko would check in daily and often would jump in and work alongside the crews. Niko is an artist at work, a perfectionist, an honest bidder, and I think a great boss because the guys were always happy to see him show up. His standards are high, and the work is done to perfection. His wife, Polly, runs the administrative side of things and is a delight to work with. She is prompt, communicative, and made every part of the process so easy and smooth. We would hire them again in an instant and can't recommend them highly enough. We feel that we gained friends and not just work crews. The pride and ownership of a family run business comes shining through here. Niko's word can be counted on, and you can trust that you will get even a better job that you imagined.

Very well. Rich and his crew did a wonderful job. Great attention to detail. Our house looks new again and we can open our windows with our little finger. And the effect of the summer heat on our house is cut in half. As an aside, our dog Ginger our Saint Bernard, got into the kitchen trash and made a mess while I was out. Rich cleaned up after her. He also covered our new utility vehicle with it's cover when rain came because he knew we had just purchased it. They go so above and beyond it is amazing. Rich is a man of principles and knows how to do the job right. We could not have had a better experience.

They have also repaired botched roof job on deck roof, repaired stucco, and will waterproof, change color of stucco.

They were so expensive that I disregarded them fast. I just saw them in Angie's List so I decided to give them a call. They didn't come out to do the work but on the bid itself, I tried to get them come out for quite some time.

    CCP Stucco & Paint Coatings.
Custom Colors Painting & Stucco was hired to repair stucco on the home by the previous owner.  However, the repair was not completed before the owner moved out of town.  We were told he would be there on a Friday to complete the repair.  CCP&S did not show up.  CCP&S did not call.  Instead CCP&S showed up on the next day, Saturday, as we were trying to move into the home.  We had many people helping us move in and many people going in and out all the doors.  However, we rearranged vehicles in the drive way and to accommodate them.  When they were done the subcontractor walked around the house with me and showed me what he had done.  I asked him about a few other spots and he said he would take care of them.  Since I was not involved in the original hire, I had no idea what was agreed upon.  However, he didn't seem to mind at all taking care of them.  The owner of the company never came out for a final inspection.
Within a few days of the subcontractor leaving, the repair under one of the doors began to crumble.  I called the owner assuming that he would guarantee his work and come out and fix it.  I did not get a return call.
I called a second time and did get the owner.  I asked him to come and fix the repair.  He refused to do it without me giving him more money.  He said it was our fault because we didn't let it set long enough.
FIRST, we were given no instructions by either him or the subcontractor on being careful around the repairs, letting them set, or not using the door for a certain amount of time.
SECOND, he did not come when he said, coming instead unannounced in the middle of a busy move.  He, being the professional and knowing the sensitivity of the work, should have right then decided to come back later.
I'm thoroughly disappointed that he refuses to fix the repair without more money since clearly he made many mistakes leading to the problem.
I finally made one last call asking for an address so that I could send him a formal letter and attempt to allow hm to do the right thing.  He never returned this final call.
I would not recommend him to anyone nor would I ever hire his company do to the lack of professionalism, especially in how he placed all the blame on me, and the lack of guaranteeing their work.

    Confident Coatings & Exteriors Inc.
We got multiple bids for the work.  Rafferty was the low bidder, but we were prepared to use them even if they were not because of how impressed we were with the initial pre-bid consultation.  They demonstrated their knowledge of stucco while explaining options, making recommendations, etc.
They were able to start earlier than we initially thought.  The crews were all very professional. Pat (Rafferty) made wonderful recommendations that translated into a great finished product. Communication during the whole project was great.  Everything was finished in the time-frames that were predicted.
Most importantly, Pat clearly was focused making sure we were happy, no matter how much 2nd guessing we did.  He was always available to talk to us or get back to us quickly.
If you are the kind of person (like me) that is nervous over large expenditures, usingRafferty Construction, AKA Confident Coatings,is a no brainer.

    RT Stucco
He was a one man business who had extensive experience. Showed up on time, gave me a quick estimate, which was reasonable, and went to work to do the repair work immediately. He also repaired a few other areas that I had not noticed and that we had not negotiated, without increasing the cost. He did excellent work and explained what the results would look like, as the stucco dried. Highly recommend him.

    TELLO'S PLASTERING INC
They came when they said they were going to, did the work and cleaned up really well. It was a pleaser to deal with them after all the bad people that I've dealt with over the years for other projects.
