They showed up on time - three men to move a Winchester 24 gun safe - google search will indicate that it is a a beast of a safe weighing in at 520 lbs - They did advise their may be damage to the dry wall going down the stairway due to the layout and size of the safe - we expected that and had our painters hold off until the safe was moved to finish painting incase we needed to patch the drywall - which we will have to do there was damage - The painters were waiting for them to move the safe so they took a break - the men had a very difficult time moving it up just the stairs outside -they first started with one set of stairs that would not work because the safe would have to be turned to get in the front door - so they went to the stairs that would allow them to go straight in the front door - the safe proved to be to heavy for two of them when they put/dropped the safe down it broke our stone at the foot of the stairs - When they attempted to move it into the house they damaged our front door - I at the that point asked if they had moved gun safes before - they replied yes yes many even one weighing more than ours - so they preceded to move the safe only to get it stuck and unable to move it without more assistance- our painter who used to be a mover offered some tips on how to move this - they said no they got it - at that point they advised us another person was on their way - so we waited and our painters waited for well over an hour - this was after one hour had already passed when the 4th person arrived their was more pushing and lifting and conversation on how to get this done - they did get it done - Just not in a very professional way - and the damage left behind far greater then expected - I did tell them my review would not be favorable and he preceded to tell me my husband lied to him about the weight of our safe - he said that it weighed at lest 800 lbs - All I can say if you need a gun safe moved this is not the company to use .

    Helping Hands Moving
We are a retired military family familiar with moving and by far this was the best experience we have had. Steve's team was punctual, professional and careful. They hustled the entire day but with care and courtesy.

TERRIBLE!!!! I have to be honestafter over twenty-four years of military moves and six moves since I retired, this is the worst move EVER!! Everything seemed great with initial contact with the company--someone answered the phone each time I called, fair price, and everything seemed great. Boy, was I wrong! To start with, their address is on Fillmore, which I wrongly assumed to be in Colorado Springs--they are actually in Denver, which adds quite a bit of time to the starting time in the morning--both days, the crew showed up much later than I requested--instead of 8:00 AM, to be done by 5 PM, they showed up and 2:30 the first day, then cancelled, and started up the second day at 11:00, finishing after 10 PM. I am very disappointed in this company and their crew! They couldn't even start the first day as scheduled--they sent a felon with the crew, who was prohibited from access to the Air Force Academy. This caused a delay to start until the next day. The late finish a day after I scheduled them wrecked several important appointments I had scheduled for the new house. Although the crew seemed nice while they were with us, I found significant damage they not only didnt report to me, but they actually went to some effort to hide from me before they left (hidden in the garage and under blankets). This was after I gave them several thousand dollars worth of excellent leather furniture, air conditioners, and complete bed sets we had no room for, a hot lunch costing over $60, and a $50 tip EACH for all four. The dispatcher reluctantly comped me one hour, $170 on a $2000 bill, for the extremely late finish a day after the contracted delivery date. I filed a claim for the damage, including an expensive new washer, irreparable damage to an antique marble washstand (they took the destroyed part with them so I wouldn't see it), wall damage needing repair, a ping pong table, a crushed desk chair and other things. Then, after I filed a claim, they waited the full 90 days allowed, knocked exactly $100 off my claim, then back-dated the emailed settlement letter to two weeks earlier in order to be legal under the 90 day limit of the law. DIshonest. Then, after I signed and returned it, they have still not paid me, now over two months later, despite many emails and unanswered phone calls since then! I was assured by email over two months ago that the check would be going out "in a few days"--it's now weeks later, and still no contact and no check. The move date was January 20/21, and it is now Sep 2nd. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and Special Ops first said I had not signed and returned their settlement letter, and when I disproved that, they claimed to have sent out a check that must have been lost, then said they would wait and if it was not cashed, they would send me a new check. They have put no time line on that--I do not expect them to do it, and fully expect to have to file a new complaint with the BBB. If you value your household belongings, your desired schedule, and any possibility of being paid for so much careless damage, DON'T, DON'T hire Special Ops Moving of Denver!

    College Hunks Hauling Junk
The move was uneventful until after the furniture was delivered to the new house. I discovered three problems following the move and communicated these to the national headquarters and to the local business. My email to the representative at the local business included the following: "My initial enquiry regarding resolution of my problems with your companies moving crew was on 08/20/17, and to date have received no definitive answers regarding: 1. Failure to complete the contracted services (i.e. reassembly of the bunk beds) 2. Damage to my dining room table due to failure to pad the surface during the move and placement of office chairs on top if the surface in the moving truck 3. Damage to, appropriate placement of, and reassembly of the office desk I acted in good faith with your company by paying the bill in total at the request of your crew lead on the day of the move. This bill included "extra" time above the contracted amount. I do not feel that you have reciprocated that good faith towards resolution. I have emailed Mr. Elwood [Keven Elwood - the franchise owner] and received no response from him. Your contractor for wood repair failed to show at the agreed upon appointment time without explanation or communication with me. I have received no offers towards resolution of the office desk and hutch that remain disassembled in separate parts of the house. I have received no offers towards resolution of the disassembled bunk beds. Please note that for this issue, it was agreed upon with your appraiser at the original walk-through that the contracted time and crew included disassembly and reassembly of these beds. I allowed the crew the use of my personal drill with screwdriver and hex screw attachments to assist in the disassembly of these beds. After arrival at the new house, I was asked to return to my old house to get that tool for their use - a turn around time of about 75 minutes. During that time, they did NOT reassemble the beds, and all other furniture had been moved into the house (with the exception of the desk and hutch). After return with that tool, I was told by the crew lead that the remaining members of the team would reassemble the bunk beds while I completed paperwork and finalized payment. Upon completion of paperwork and payment, was told that they had another job at 4:30 that day and were being hassled by their boss to move on to the next job. They would be unable to reassemble the beds. I feel that I was outright lied to. I spent 6 hours of my own time over the subsequent 2 days reassembling the beds on my own so that my children would have their bedroom furniture. I paid for that service to be performed by your company as part of the original contract at a rate of $185/hour, and it was not done. I have requested a refund of the amount paid for time spent by your crew NOT doing the work agreed upon, and for my time to do the work myself. I have yet to receive an answer from you regarding that request." To date I have had my emails and phone messages left unanswered. Regardless of the quality of the work provided, I feel that the business' unwillingness to communicate with me about my concerns represents a significant failure of good-faith business practices. Customers considering College Hunks for moving beware. Should you have problems with their service do NOT expect resolution. There are many moving companies in the region that will back up their services with quality customer care. CHHJ does not seem to be one of them.

    Two Men & A Truck
Our 3 man moving crew (Tyler Reynolds, Dakota Moore, and Severn Belmond) were great. They were punctual and moved us with great care and minimal damage and even helped us to unload a storage container full of heavy books for a home library and they worked fast taking only a very short 15 minute lunch break.

These guys were great, however the person who set up the appointment wrote both my phone number and address down wrong. The movers were unable to find my apartment or call me, so I was charged for the time they took trying to find my place. Be sure you double check your information to avoid extra charges!!

Excellent. The two men arrived early (approx 10 minutes), set up the equipment, checked out the best way to move furniture, explained the process, ask for any questions and then when I was ready started the clock. The whole process was very good. When I need the furniture returned (after the remodel) I will ask for the same two gentlemen by name(Briar and Johnny). The cost was the best I found, no hidden charges, finished ahead of time and will use them again!

    ABF U-PACK MOVING
Move went very smooth. Have used ABF twice before, never a problem with their Drivers, Dispatchers or timing of pick up or delivery. Would rate them as excellent and Five Star for price and professionalism.

All My Sons Moving and Storage
Terrible experience overall! The packers were not careful with my stuff, mislabeled, or didn't label boxes, used the wrong size boxes on many things, and packed some boxes that weighed over 50 pounds. The second day one of the movers stood around. He had no direction and seemed clueless about moving. This company is expensive and then you get crap for service!
