    Have used Lee's before and found them to be very good. This time they came to repair my struggling refrigerator which was freezing fine but not cooling well in the fresh food section. Tech was on time and found that there was a lot of ice build up around the fan in the freezer. He melted the ice and then checked the seals on the door which he found were not dealing well. He use a heat gun and molded to seal better. He spent over 45 minutes deicing and fixing the door seals but when he was done everything was put back as found and more importantly the refrigerator has been working effectively since.

    We have a Samsung front loading washer, just a couple years old. A leak developed and we contacted Tubby Appliance. They came out and found a small leak. The part took a few weeks to come in. The day after the new part was put in, we ran the washer. Water began pouring through our ceiling. Turns out the washer hose had not been replaced correctly. Damage to the ceiling is estimated at $600.00. The person who completed the repair informed us they are not insured for the damage. Will never use these folks again.

    Our refrigerator cooling unit stopped working.  We called L&G because it is a well-rated and local family business with two generations of experience.  The diagnostic over the telephone (by Mom) allowed the repair expert (Son) to arrived the next day with the correct parts.  He arrived within the first two hours of a 4-hour call window and completed the job under two hours.  We appreciate the timely repair and friendly expertise.

    My fridge has been making a squeaking noise during cooling for months now and since it kept getting worse, I called in Paul. He was excellent! He arrived right on time and immediately went to work. He diagnosed the problem with the condenser fan and called in a replacement part. He then switched out the fan and was done quickly. He was extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable! The fridge is running beautifully without any noise.

    I called Kevin on a Sunday because my washing machine was leaking. He came over quickly and determined the problem. Before he came over, he let me know that he may or may not have the part (which would impact if he could fix it that day.) He had to order the part, but he kept me updated about the process and came back the next day to complete the repair. During the repair, Kevin provided me with useful information about how to care for my appliances and agreed to fix an additional issue I had (with fridge.) His work was reasonably priced, he was timely, and he is trustworthy. I recommend him and will use him again.

    The company repaired our refrigerator promptly and well, at a reasonable and expected price (within estimates), and we have not had any problems with the appliance since.
    Some weeks later, however, we discovered large scratches and gouges in the hardwood floor in front of our refrigerator.  The damage was not obvious immediately, because it is visible only in a certain light, and we initially chalked it up to, "those things happen in life."  However, when we asked for an estimate regarding a repair of the damage, the flooring company suggested that we contacted L&G, noting that most companies are insured to cover such damage sustained during or related to their work.
    I called L&G and the owner, Tony, called me back and told me to contact my private home owner's insurance carrier, since we were calling so late after the company's visit.  Because of the delay in our reporting the damage, he disputed our assertion that the damage was related to his company's visit.  Essentially, Tony called into question my integrity, basically saying that the it was "suspicious" that it took so long for me to call about the damage.  I attempted to explain the reasons why, as noted above, but he remained unmoved.  He also asserted that the damage could not have been caused by moving our refrigerator, since "that refrigerator model has rollers on it, so moving it would not scratch the floor."  It's obvious, however, that the scratches and gouges go directly to the supports of the refrigerator.  He also pointed out that the technician who serviced our refrigerator had "never had a claim in 17 years," and noted that the technician in our home was very thorough and would have noted any damage on his repair ticket.  He implied that we were at fault and that we had scratched the floor, but we have never moved the refrigerator out that far in all the years we've owned it and it has not been moved at all since L&G was in the house.  Furthermore, if the technician were that thorough, I would suppose that he would have noted on his ticket any pre-existing damage in front of the refrigerator for his own protection and he did not.
    So we're left having to make a claim through our home owner's insurance, though perhaps our company and his will get to fight it out.
    I'm sorry to have to write this review, but had Tony simply asked me to call my insurance company and politely explained that he could not help me, or if he had offered to inspect the damage personally instead of drawing conclusions and casting doubt on my honesty, I would understand.  As I said above, it didn't even occur to us to hold his company responsible or even to ask for their assistance until another contractor pointed out that it might be reasonable and even expected in the industry.  As it is, Tony took the occasion to go on the offensive from the beginning of our conversation, treating me as a threat rather than as a customer.  I found it disappointing and surprising that the owner of a family business would not approach this problem with more aplomb and grace.

    My refrigerator stopped cooling and it failed the same week I got laid off from my job.  I was really worried that I would have to replace the refrigerator or be extremely expensive to fix.  The repair guy was prompt, explained what he did and even though he first thought it would be a larger problem, it turned out to just need a start relay (whatever that is) and it has worked perfectly ever since.  The work was completed in less than one hour.  I couldn't be more pleased.

    Eddie came out on two occasions. The first time, he diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes. There was a valve that had become clogged. He ordered the part and came back a week later for the repair. He was very professional and explained the process and even gave me a suggestion on how to avoid this in the future. He didn't mind me asking him questions.

    Kevin was a dream to work with in terms of being an absentee landlord.  My tenant said that the dishwasher was having problems and not running right and very loud.  Kevin worked directly with my tenant to schedule a service call.  Upon looking over my dishwasher, Kevin determined that to fix it was not worth the costs and it was better to get a new dishwasher - he even had shopped for some and recommended me to one.  I purchased the dishwasher and Kevin picked it up from Lowes directly and installed the unit himself.  He even said that the old dishwasher had leaked onto the hardwood floors.  He took the time to wipe it all up/clean that area for me.  He also took the time to show my tenant how to work the new dishwasher and where the filter was in case it needed to be cleaned.  I am very happy with Kevin and his professionalism and honesty was great to work with over the phone since I was not in the same state as my rental.  I definitely recommend and would use Kevin again.

    We were desperately looking for a reliable company to hook up our dryer (after losing a part and Sears CANCELING our appt. after waiting for 4 hours! DO NOT USE THEM) Kevin was able to come the next day! We were so happy, since we hadn't been able to do laundry for almost 2 weeks! He was prompt and very polite and hooked up our dryer and cleaned the ducts/vents. The next day, I noticed that the dryer would automatically shut off after 10-15 min. when it was on the auto-sensor mode. I called Kevin and he came out that same day to look at it. He diagnosed the problem right away and told me he'd order the part (thought it would be a week), but instead he found the new sensor. I was happy not to wait a week and loved that he fixed it so quickly! Kevin is very knowledgeable and gave me some plumbing advice (very much appreciated!)--thank you!
