Lawn Care reviews in Mead

We had used Berggren Blooms a few years ago and their service was good but something dramatic has changed this year and the service was awful.
On their first visit, their equipment snagged the fence and ripped part of it down.  We saw this happen and tried to get Jeremy's attention before they left but they left so fast we couldn't.  We knew he knew it had happened, as we say him get off his equipment to disentangle it from the fence.  Hoping they'd just stop back by in a slow period to fix it, after a week we dropped them an email to ask when they'd fix it ~ no reply or acknowledgement.
Next visit, we weren't home for but they left many spots un-mowed and did not do any trimming or spot-weeding (both items in our contract).  When we tried to call to discuss this, we got a curt email reply that it was too wet to finish the job that week.
On their third visit, same story as above, quick dash around, skipped many areas of mowing and left our south-side 1/2 acre un-mowed and full of dandelions (again no "spot" weeding or any kind of attention).  Again we tried to talk about this to be sure our our expectations matched theirs, ours being set by the previous season's work they did.  Another curt email saying if it wasn't worth writing in an email it wasn't worth talking about.  Well, call us old fashioned, but we believe in DIALOG when there's a problem like this.  But I dutifully documented all of our concerns in an email reply to Jeremy. What I got in reply shocked me ... he tried to say all of our concerns were our fault and that our expectations were unrealistic.  YUP! that's what I thought in the first place.   I tried to talk (you know, two way conversation) with Jeremy and he refused, saying our contract wasn't worth his time.
We had paid 25% of the annual service fee and received maybe 12% of the year's services (and I'm being generous here, fall clean up is a large portion of this service).  When I asked to find a reasonable was to terminate our contract, he informed me that there was no "escape clause" but out of the goodness of HIS heart he'd let us out and forego the rest of the  money owing to him.  I was thinking he owed us either some "real" service OR refund us some of the money we'd paid in advance ... but to be honest, I'm just happy we hadn't paid any more than we already had, GOOD RIDDANCE!
