  • The MA, who called herself a nurse, physically grabbed my child and attempted to force her into a wheel chair. The grabbed her so hard that it left red marks on her chest. Additionally on three different occasions they misdiagnosed bacterial infections: One strep throat, one ear infection, and one sinus and ear infection. A few months later an elderly friend was accidentally taken to the emergency room at McKee instead of to MCR where he was supposed to be taken. When we arrived several hours after his admission into the ER, he had been sitting in his own urine and feces for at least two hours, there were needle caps in his bed, a bloody catheter needle on the floor, and trickles of blood all over the floor. He was treated atrociously. Once we were finally able to get him transferred to another hospital things were so much better for him.

  • Our elderly friend spent over 6 hours in the emergency room. When we arrived he was dirty and had been sitting in his own urine for over an hour, there was blood on his gown and on the floor along with a dirty catheter needle that obviously didn't make it into the sharps container. The cap to the catheter was in his bed. Fortunately he wasn't laying on it. The room was dirty and even though he had let the staff know he needed to be changed, they ignored him. The care was subpar.

  • Once and done - arrived and expected great treatment in a nice medical facility. Walked right into room and then was pulled out and put back into emergency room and waited for 1 1/2 hours to be brought back. Waited another 2 hours to see the doctor for 5 minutes. Front office staff kind of rude when asked about waiting time. First and last visit to this facility and not impressed at all.

  • I was in a lot of pain during my stay at McKee, but the nurses did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. Whenever I needed something a nurse was there within a minute or two. After my surgery, the surgeon explained everything that was going to happen including the prep before, what would go on during my surgery, and after. I also had nurses that were very diligent in checking in on me during the night every hour or two. I always feared going to the hospital because I am a college student, and I was scared to death of the medical expenses, but they had someone do a consultation before I left to help me not worry about the medical expenses right away. They even helped set me up on a plan to help budget the expenses that would be coming in over the next few months. I can't say enough nice things about the nurses that work at this hospital, I wish I remembered all of their names so I could send them a thank you card. It was nice not having to worry about whether a nurse would show up if I needed them or not. As I left they even gave me a folder that contained which medications I'll need to take and when, and gave me a phone number to call if I had questions or if the pain got worse. All around the entire staff is an A+, I'm so grateful for the entire staff at McKee Medical Center!

  • I spent two weeks feeling just awful. I ended up going to the emergency room very early in the morning, and I have to say considering how terrible I felt everybody was so nice. The hospital is spotless, the receptionist was so nice and she went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. I was only in the waiting room for about fifteen minutes before they took back to be seen. The nurse was very polite and professional and took really good care of me. The doctor on duty took his time and listened to the symptoms I had been having and discussed different options. After feeling just awful for two weeks, they were able to finally help get rid of the headache I had had for two weeks. I wish I could remember the nurse who helped me, I would send her a thank you card for being so nice! If you need to be seen, McKee is wonderful!

  • Everything was excellent, and I feel much better now.  The nurses were fantastic.  My father has gone here recently, and the also took good care of him.  They are very good at following up with their patients.

  • Dr. William Lopez was unfriendly and disengaged throughout the visit. Instead of reviewing my paperwork, he went straight and my medications and said, "What, do you want refills because I'm NOT filling these!" He ignored my diagnoses, refused to be my doctor, and sarcastically said, "Good luck" as he walked out! I cried for 30 minutes!

  • The experience could not have been better. The clerical staff was efficient and friendly. The nursing staff in both the operating room and recovery were the best that I could have hoped for. Only once before have I ever had such good care and then my aunt was the head nurse.

  • The staff was very knowledgeable and professional, and in addition, was extraordinarily supportive during the most traumatic portion of the hospitalization (when she was still combative and semi-coherent). They allowed me to be with her as much as I wanted (pretty much 24-7) and participate in her care (to the extent that I helped her understand that I was there with her, and she could trust what the staff was doing). They were great at giving information about treatment options and prognosis. All in all, I don't believe we could have asked for better care (and their trauma team was outstanding).

  • I was notified of her admission by a message on our answering machine; the information that I was given when I reached them by telephone was not particularly helpful or supportive (although I do recognize that the circumstances were difficult, so I may be more critical than I might be otherwise). Working with the billing department has been a bit difficult, and it has been difficult to reach the appropriate individuals to get payment schedules worked out.
