Irrigation System reviews in Louisville

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • My sprinklers were checked after winter and I had a suspicion I had a lead. There were two main line in the front of my house that were fixed. There were other sprinklers that were leaking and they were also fixed.

  • We had Homewurx come and fix our sprinkler system and then come blow it out in the fall. They were great both times. He went through the whole system and checked it for problems. We discussed which problems could be solved easily and which to wait on. Very professional and helpful.

  • Showed up right on time. Diagnosied the problems within a few minutes. Gave me a quote. And fixed the leaks within the hour! He had all the parts on hand. I didn't have to reschedule due to not having everything on hand to take care of the problem. I only wish all service people could be so prompt and professional.

  • The service person showed up at 10:40 and left at 1:10p, 2.5 hours. He was gone for 45 min to get a part that he did not have. He had to travel all the way to Boulder and back when there is a Home Depot and Lowes just 5 min away in Louisville! Then they charged me for the time he was gone to get the part!
The website says $75 for the first hour and then $60/hour after that. My wife paid him as I had to go to work, and when I found out that I was billed at $75/hr for 2.75 hours of labor! He charged me for going to get a part! When asked, the serviceman said they had to as they did not carry all parts on the truck! What a scam!
I called and spoke to the owner, what a waste of time. I called to complain on Friday and gave him my cell to call back on, he called the home number and did not get back to me until Monday. Then he claimed that they always charge for travel time to get parts and that it was a flat $75/hr with no discount for subsequent hours and that it did not say any different on their website! A blatant lie! False advertising also! He offered to refund me $50, not even the full $85 his company over charged me for!
DO NOT use these guys, they will rip you off and charge you for time to get parts that they purposefully do not stock on their trucks. He had to get a connector and clamps for crying out loud.
    Total rip off

  • We had a very positive experience with Keesen.  They were easy to work with on scheduling, and the tech arrived on time and thoroughly explained the process.  He also was very patient in explaining to me what I would need to do in the spring to get my system up and running again without another service call.  Highly recommended!

  • Kenny and crew are great! They were prompt, dug holes faster than I ever thought possible, and did quality work in a short amount of time. Price was very reasonable. I am so happy to have found a good sprinkler system repair service.

  • Kent Miller was very prompt and professional.  He resolved a perpetual leaking sprinkler head issue that two other service providers failed to fix, while he also took time to troubleshoot the entire sprinkler system and do necessary repairs for a regulator in the control box.  When I asked if more sprinkler work was needed, Kent said "No" and explained why.
Kent was efficient, honest and extremely capable, and I was very pleased with his work.  On October 17, 2013, Kent came back to winterize and blow out my sprinkler system.  While doing so, he walked with me in the yard, answered my questions about sprinkler placement, and told me what to consider in moving sprinkler heads to accommodate growing trees.
I look forward to having Kent maintain my sprinkler system and highly recommend him to other Angie's List members.

  • Very well.  I had one sprinkler valve that wouldn't turn on and another that was leaking.  He was able to fix the leak without replacing the valve and then replaced the one that would not turn on.  He was friendly, professional and fast.  He also explained to me what the problems where and what he needed to do to fix them.

  • We have a sprinkler head that leaks water all the time even when the sprinkler system isn't running and hasn't been in days.  We called to make an appointment to fix the leak and had to wait about two weeks before someone could come out.  (To be fair, this seemed to be the case with most sprinkler companies about this time--I guess it is a busy time of year.)
The guy arrived maybe half an hour or an hour late or so--not too terrible but enough that I called to see if he was still coming.  The gentleman I talked to didn't seem to know where the employee was but said to call if he didn't come and he did call later to make sure he had showed up.  When the guy arrived, I was not impressed.  He was a little bit brusque and had brought his dog.  His dog was not on a leash and was allowed to just roam around while he worked.  The dog was well-behaved but it still struck me as rather odd and unprofessional.
I explained the problem we were having, but when we turned on the sprinklers the guy said it didn't appear to be leaking and said the stream of water into the sidewalk was just normal drainage and would stop soon.  I explained that this was what happened every time but that the water drainage DID NOT stop, ever--it just kept leaking until we turned the water to the sprinkler system off completely at the pipe in our basement.  He kept insisting it was fine (he said he was 100% sure, in fact) and I kept insisting I didn't think so.  I asked what should we do if tomorrow there is still a stream of water into the street.  He said in that case I'd have to locate the valve box (we just bought a new home and don't know where all the buried valve boxes are) and call them back.  Finally I gave in, seeing that I was not going to be able to convince him to do anything more at that time.  I asked him to do a quick tune-up on the other sprinkler heads since he was already there and he proceeded to spend a few minutes adjusting the direction of a few sprinkler heads and then charged us $123, of which $100 was their basic service call fee.
We decided to see what happened and watched over the next couple of days to see if it would stop like he said.  Sure enough, the water kept leaking for over 48 hours later--that is not "normal drainage!"  We called back to tell them it was not fixed and get the guy to come back.  I set up an appointment with the dispatcher lady but the guy later called back to say that if we hadn't located our valve box then he couldn't help us.  I would have expected a sprinkler repair company would own or at least have access to a solenoid detector which would locate buried valve boxes but I guess not all do, and this is not one that does.
So basically we paid $123 for almost nothing and still have a leaking sprinkler system.  I was going to give the company an F but the guy did text us later with three phone numbers of companies that DO have valve locator equipment, so I decided to bump it up to a D instead.
I found the employee who came out to our home unfriendly and unprofessional.  He acted annoyed when I told him I thought it was still leaking and didn't seem to want to help us solve the problem.  He had no problem charging us despite not fixing the leak that was the reason we had him out in the first place.  No apology or refund was offered when his "100% sure it will be fine" guarantee turned out to be dead wrong.  We will never use them again.

  • I had enormous noise coming from the pipe and trembling entire house whenever I turned on sprinkler.
Turned out to be that it was caused from choked back-flow at some part of watering pipe.
The provider detected this problem at ease and fixed like magic. I was very impressed.
