    Colorado Designs
We loved working with Davis and his team. He listens to your vision and helps make it a reality within budget. He offers his honest opinion when vision does not translate into efficient building processes. He answered every text I ever sent in a timely fashion. A+ communication, which is so important when working with a contractor.

    All Pro Decking
Ray and his team listened to our needs/wants throughout the entire project and were always readily available to address our concerns. The project was completed in a timely manner and they even returned months later to remove/replace some boards to account for the new placement of a gas line (for a fire pit). We are very happy that we chose All Pro Decking and would highly recommend them to friends and family.

    Ron's Landscaping and Fencing
Had to end up replacing our post & rail fence due to age/rot, and dog jumping over. Ron provided a very fair price and did the job properly and timely. Also made some improvements to our deck, and I look forward to working w/ him once we're ready to do some more significant deck work. Highly recommend Ron for both fence and deck work, although the pup is sad he can't leap over anymore.

    Daniels Landscape and Design LLC

Daniel's Landscape seems to have bitten off more than they can chew with this Angie's List Deal, as the people that I talked to wanted to make it perfectly clear that they only wanted to come out if I were willing to spend at least $10,000 on my landscaping project.  I was quoted at "at least $13,000" to landscape my back yard, and that was with no details as to what and why it would cost that much.  I did receive a quote two days later for considerably more than $13000, which did itemize the costs.  However the quoted price was laughable.
I received no professional insight or advice (the man I met with basically wanted to replace all of the landscaping that I had torn out).  I received no drawing in my proposal.
The man I met with was punctual, that's the best thing I can say about the whole experience.  I basically paid $100 for a free estimate.

I feel like I was ripped off by Angie's list.  I'm new to Angie's List so I don't know if this type of thing is common.  I will never buy another "deal" from them again.  I would imagine Daniel's Landscaping feels much the same way.

    Barefoot Decks Inc
We are very please with our Deck. It is a fantastic addition to our home. John & his team were really great. They were on time every day. Same time, like clockwork! Randy was the lead, & he is a great guy; gets to work immediately. He even showed up on a holiday just to clear snow off the deck for the next business day continuation of the build. We were comfortable with everyone that came to our house, from the beginning to the end, from Demolition of the old deck to the final product. They always did a really great job cleaning up after themselves. Total respect for our property. I looked over the work every day they were at our home, & not once did I ever find anything strange in terms of how they put the deck together. For example, they never left a soda bottle or any other thing that didnt belong on the job site. Unlike my basement contractor, I didnt have to ask them to re-cut, or square off anything. It's real quality work. Unfortunately, they only do Decks, because at the end of the project I wanted them to do the Kitchen next. They did leave a trailer out in front of the house, but the trailer is new, & is wrapped in a few pictures of great looking, brand new Decks. It was cool to have out front, & I never had to answer any questions from neighbors because they could see from pictures on the trailer what was going out back. The price was slightly above other estimates, but at the end of the project I had not one issue with writing John his check. From start to finish we could see every day the value we were getting. You get what you pay for. Lastly, John came out to the house 4 different times before we ever gave him a deposit, to help us finalize the look we wanted. FYI, materials arrive first, & then you give him a deposit. He brought sample materials & produced a great computer mock up of what the final would look like. Could be happier.

    Decks By Design
We hired Jim Cobbett and Decks by Design to build a backyard deck at our home. Initially, Jim came across as very professional - in the planning and scheduling stages of the project - and even helped us with the City when they made mistakes in the issuing of a variance permit for the deck. We are mostly very happy with the quality and look of our deck. However, the deck is not complete, and what happened during the final stages of construction is utterly beyond our comprehension. On what was to be our next-to-last day of construction, we asked the crew chief about a couple of things we were concerned about. Jim was not on site at this time and we were worried these items could not be dealt with in the time remaining before the crew left our house for the last time. The first was a top rail that was bowed, and the other was about how the railing-to-stair transitions had been finished, which was different than what we had seen in product brochures that Jim himself had provided (the material is TimberTech). Note: At no time before construction started had Jim ever asked us how we wanted the transitions to look. We felt it was very reasonable as customers to ask why they looked different than we expected. We really, really appreciated the craftsmanship and kind nature of Jim's crew, and so we asked with the utmost delicacy. In the case of the bowed top rail, the crew fixed this in about 5 minutes. For reasons still unknown to us, the crew chief became visibly angry in the time frame of our inquiries (turning his back on my husband and going silent). We called Jim about it and he instructed us to not talk to him, and then Jim called him and told him to gather their materials and leave the job. Jim told us specifically that he instructed them to do so. We received no explanation for this action, and have not received any explanation to this day. This left us with an exterior sliding door going out to the deck uninstalled, and we had to hire another company to come do this work. Even when we met Jim at our house a couple of days later to discuss the incident, he couldn't (or wouldn't) explain what had and quot;set offand quot; both him and his crew chief. He just offered to come to our home and finish the work himself that was left unfinished by his crew. This was all and quot;finishand quot; work to our knowledge, nothing structural or that would hinder an inspection. On the day he was scheduled to come to our house, we found him wandering around our deck taking photos, without having notified us that he was even on our property. This was the second time he had done this. Prior to that day, we had had sod installed in the backyard. We advised him that we had been told by the landscaper to stay off the lawn to prevent damage, and asked him to do the same. He then proceeded to trample on the sod and perform work on it. When my husband pointed this out and asked him to stop, Jim became irate. This was after Jim had AGREED verbally to do his work on the deck itself and not on the yard. When my husband asked again, he actually claimed he had NEVER AGREED TO THIS, as if the conversation had never happened. When my husband asked Jim to perform the unfinished tasks in order of priority to us (when it was clear he had no intention of doing so) Jim again became irate, yelled at my husband who had never raised his voice to Jim, and then, again, walked off the job completely. We found the behavior to be bizarre, but on further reflection, believe he was purposefully trying to provoke my husband. Even after he packed up and claimed to be leaving, he came back onto our yard to take more photos. At this point my husband asked him to leave, but he ignored him and continued to take pictures. We are now left with several and quot;walk-throughand quot;-type and poorly-completed items unfinished that we will have to hire yet another contractor to do. Recently, he has also told us that one of the items unfinished - unbeknownst to us until now - was a and quot;grip/handrailand quot; without which the deck would certainly not pass inspection. We have told Jim that we will pay a new contractor to finish the deck, have the deck inspected, and then make final payment to him. We feel this is our right as consumers, and also adheres to our agreement with Jim that final payment would happen after final inspection, but still honors the work he did. Jim, however, has been harassing us for payment, and has said he will hire a collection agency to come after us for the remainder of the money owed, minus what he calls a and quot;generousand quot; offer of $500. We have no idea how much the final items will cost to finish, in particular now, this and quot;grip/handrailand quot;, so we have very reasonably refused this offer.Prior to the day Jim told his crew to leave our house, we had raised only three other issues with Jim directly which were handled poorly: The framing of stairs incorrectly to and quot;landand quot; before, rather than on, a lower deck (Jim's response: and quot;I can't remember every detailand quot;), and a child gate that had been forgotten completely as well. We also asked about the supports for the railings that had been constructed out of available materials rather than using specially-made materials available from the manufacturer. Jim claimed they were not available, but we called the manufacturer to confirm that they were. We've wondered and wondered what happened to turn these simple inquiries from a consumer into such an over-the-top response. One fairly forgiving theory is that we caught Jim and his crew chief in some bad emotional window of time, either personally or between them. I think the more simple assumption is that Jim - and by extension his company - just can't bear to be made to answer for anything, even when raised with great concern for feelings, as we did. Please take these theories as just that, but without specific explanation from Jim, again, we can only make assumptions based on our experiences. This is just our heads up and warning to avoid the current situation at Decks by Design until they understand how to address customer concerns professionally. We will edit this review to include a description of how this matter gets resolved and Jim's further actions, positive or negative.

    HomeDoc Services
Very poor workmanship. Came without the right tools to complete the job - had to ask if I had a caulk gun. Very destructive to areas surrounding leak. Used wrong materials - paint caulk for exterior siding. Scratched aluminum-clad brick mold and when brought to his attention, he shrugged it off saying it was no big deal it could be painted over. Left the siding and trim are a mess, including nails and scrap metal on the ground; knowing I have a dog and small children who use the area. I will have to hire another contractor to put everything back to normal.

    Highlands Landscaping & Fencing, LLC
Excellent Service, Result Is Beyond My Expectation
I have a big yard with slope. I hired Highland Landscaping based on the review on Yelp.Marko came to give me the estimate and Jeff is the manager handling this project.
I was so happy after meeting Jeff because of his knowledge about handling retaining wall, patio, draining around house. At beginning I had roughly idea about what I need to do in my back yard and showed Jeff. He gave me so many suggestion after seeing my original design. For example, he redesigned french draining system, making draining swale around house and shortened retaining wall.
There were total 5 workers plus Jeff working on this project. I was told that they worked on some big commercial projects before. The lead worker has many years experience for retaining wall and paver patio. He was extremely easy to work with and listened to my inputs. He was not rush to complete his job, and always discussed with me about special cases. For example. we discussed the layout of the stair on the retaining wall several times, the stair looks perfectlyon my two level retaining wall when he completed the walls.
My family are so happy to see the beautiful retaining wall and patio in my backyard. I will attach some pictures about them. Highland Landscaping is not cheapest compare many companies in Denver but it provided the top quality of work. If you are looking for quality work with reasonable price, I will strongly recommend this company.

Outside Dreams Landscape Design & Construction
My house is 40 years old. When I was young, I put in 2100 square feet of flower beds and did  the landscaping myself. As a result, the yard turned into a huge mess with over grown flower beds, lawn in sad shape, cracked driveway, etc. The entire yard really did look bad.
I interviewed 6 landscapers and chose Outside Dreams.
I cannot say enough good things about Outside Dreams.
Amy was great to work with and had many good ideas. I was really happy with the design that she came up with.
The job took about 2 1/2 weeks. The men worked very hard and were always professional. They were so nice my son missed them when they were gone. They even mowed and trimmed the yard before they left.
They did a beautiful job. I now love being in my yard and looking at it.  I am so happy with all of the work they did. I was very impressed with the quality of the work done (as were all of the neighbors who stopped by to see the yard). I am still getting compliments on my yard.
I will definitely use Outside Dreams again because of the reasonable price and the quality of the work they did.

    Kruse Construction LLC
Justin's team did the work exactly as promised, when promised, at the price promised.  I have had egress windows installed by others in the past and was very dissappointed in the quality every time.  I paid a few extra bucks for Justin but figured it was worth it based on the recommendations that he had as well as his reputation with others in the window business who referred him.  I was not dissappointed as his team of guys did a phenomenal job and Justin was sure to walk me through the work that was being done every step of the way.  The finished product not only looks great, but I have no concerns about leakage or other issues that I have had in the past with other installers.  Well worth the money spent.
