Concrete Repair reviews in Louisville

They were very responsive and fit us in in short notice. The price was fair for what we needed done. They came out and did the work with no issue and followed up to ensure we were happy with the job. There ended up being a problem with the angle of the walkway after the fact. They came out very quickly and did what the could to fix it. I'd recommend them.

    Enviroshapes Concrete
Throughout our interactions Jay was friendly and professional.  There was a bit of prodding needed to get the contract signed and get the work scheduled, but the work was still completed within approximately a month of requesting a bid.  The crew arrived as scheduled and completed the work very quickly (1 day to remove, 1 day to pour).  The driveway, sidewalk, and landing turned out well. My only complaint is with the state of the yard adjacent to the concrete.  The new driveway height is apparently lower than the old, which resulted in the sod rising above the driveway.  A deep trough was also left along the new driveway where the forms had been. This meant I had to dig up and fix a swath of yard.  I've never had cement work performed so perhaps it is typically.

Outside Dreams Landscape Design & Construction
My house is 40 years old. When I was young, I put in 2100 square feet of flower beds and did  the landscaping myself. As a result, the yard turned into a huge mess with over grown flower beds, lawn in sad shape, cracked driveway, etc. The entire yard really did look bad.
I interviewed 6 landscapers and chose Outside Dreams.
I cannot say enough good things about Outside Dreams.
Amy was great to work with and had many good ideas. I was really happy with the design that she came up with.
The job took about 2 1/2 weeks. The men worked very hard and were always professional. They were so nice my son missed them when they were gone. They even mowed and trimmed the yard before they left.
They did a beautiful job. I now love being in my yard and looking at it.  I am so happy with all of the work they did. I was very impressed with the quality of the work done (as were all of the neighbors who stopped by to see the yard). I am still getting compliments on my yard.
I will definitely use Outside Dreams again because of the reasonable price and the quality of the work they did.

Jay was amazing, lots of communication and good pricing. Outlined options and pricing. Crew turned up on time; they are really good and helpful. No major issues and asked lots of questions. This could not have gone any better. Awesome exp and great crew. I would recommend to anyone.

    L&B'S Concrete Landscpe Borders LLC
L&B uses different crews / individuals to complete each phase of the job and they don't come back so you need to get it right the first time. First was the estimate, the gentleman was nice and it took maybe 10 minutes. You are left with an estimate, but you need to read the fine print. If you sign it, you have just committed to have the border installed with a 20% penalty if you cancel. So don't sign it unless you are 100% sure. The estimate is good for a period of time.
Next was the design (a different person). The gentleman marked off where he felt the border should be laid using spray paint. You also get the see the samples and select the style, color, and stamp. You will not have another opportunity to see the samples in person so choose wisely. The colors you see on the website are not quite the same. Again maybe 10 minutes depending on how long it takes you to select. This is also the time to indicate if you need an sprinklers moved.
About the sprinklers, you are better off doing it yourself. I did have L&B move one but I was not impressed with how they did. My concern was if there was a problem I would need to dig under the border to make changes. So I re-did it. They used inferior equipment, no brackets, and went from 1/2 inch to 1/4 inch pvc. If you can't do it yourself, hire someone who only does this type of work.
Then the crew came to remove the old border and dig the trench. They were great to work with and I had made a few changes to how the border would be laid out, no problem at all. If you need any grass dug up, they will do that as well for a fee, have it done; it is worth it.
Lastly was the crew (yes a different group of people) who laid the border. Again very nice, moved right through it and took maybe 90 minutes.
Overall a positive experience, but a few things to keep in mind:
    - move your own sprinklers well before the crew gets there to lay the border
    - pick your color from the samples don't rely on the website
    - each person and crew you work with is different so there is no common thread except for the woman who sets up the appointments and there tends to be a communication breakdown between her and the crews so double check everything
    - they won't install if it may rain so it will get re-scheduled without your knowledge

He was on time for the estimate, we had a good dialogue, and he had some good recommendations, but he never followed up with the estimate.  I realize the job was relatively small, but if he didn't want to take it on, just say so.  I don't feel inclined to follow-up and beg for an estimate - I just moved on and am seeking out other Angie's List concrete folks for what is now probably a complete patio re-do.

Robert and his family did a great job. They were on time very day and completed the job in just 3 days. I will use them again in the very near future. The quality of work was excellent and the price was right.

    Omni Services
While it turned out to be too far (probably something I missed in my Angie's List searching), I was really impressed with John (if I remember his name correctly) on the phone. He was well-spoken, honest and professional.

I shopped around for someone to finish my garage floor with an epoxy coating.  There are several companies that do heavy marketing so I spoke with them and even got some estimates.  They ended up being $3-5 per square foot.  I found one company that only does commercial work but they recommended Gordon Shockley from Concrete Painters.  I figured they had no reason to send me unless he does good work.  I was so glad they told me.  Not only was the price much lower, they seemed very experienced and did a wonderful job.  I couldn't be more happy and I saved thousands, literally.  The other companies kept harping on 100% solid epoxy.  That is exactly what Concrete Painters used.!

Tony Sherrick did a superb job, and I thought his concrete work was excellent. There was a lot of work, and he was quick and fairly priced. He was here when he said he would be here, which I liked. I also liked him because he did not ask for any money upfront. I would rate him highly and would use him again in the future if necessary.
