    Paramount Remodeling Company Inc
Overall, were very happy with our finished basement. The finishes look wonderful, and it turned out as great as we could have hoped. The online portal used for communicating schedules, changes, and punch lists was also super helpful. I should note that this is our first experience with hiring a remodeling company, so I dont have any other experiences to compare this too, but I will say the great final product did come with some caveats that should be considered for anyone looking to hire Paramount. 1.) While we signed a basement contract in October 2018 with a tentative start date of late January/early February, the project wasnt underway until March, which threw our timing expectations off a bit. 2.) Furthermore with timing expectations, we were also told that the project would take around 8 weeks to complete. The project ended up taking 10 weeks, plus a couple of extra visits for punch list items. 3.) Another expectation we had was that the project would mostly be done by Paramounts in-house workers, with few hired outside contractors. As it turned out, the project was mainly outside contractors due to being pulled to different jobs, which caused a few communication kerfuffles along the way. Luckily the final product turned out great, but it did take a bit more effort on our part to coordinate some contractors access to our house and explaining how some aspects of our basement should be finished. 4.) The punch list at the end of project had a few loose ends to tie for the basement (as expected), but the majority of the punch list items were actually for damages not related to the basement, including repairing fence posts where vans had backed into, scuffs on walls, door stops broken off and holes in doors. Paramount did well fixing all these punch list items, but for those looking to hire Paramount, know that you probably should keep a close eye on the hired contractors, and keep track and document the punch list items as they occur. 5.) The cost ended up being a bit more than what we had been quoted at the beginning of the project (almost $8k over what we were originally quoted). While some changes along the way are to be expected, we are the type of customers that prefer to have a product that overdelivers while being surprised at being under budget. We would have preferred to have a slightly more conservative quote for the scope to set our expectations correctly from the beginning. Again, Paramount did a wonderful job in the end; it just took some work, time, and extra cost to get there that we hadnt expected. If you choose to hire them, make sure expectations are set up correctly, even if they're a bit more conservative, and you should have a great finished project by the end of your experience.

A+ experience. Paramount completed our project with quality work, clear communication, and no surprises. From the initial estimate discussions with the company owner, Levi, to the final walk through, the entire Paramount crew was timely, pleasant, and professional. The main contractor who worked on our house was fantastic... he even went above and beyond to help us out by fixing some shoddy work left by a prior contractor. It was very unexpected, and, though just a small time investment on his part, it was a game changer for us. Paramount uses a project-management software tool that is amazing - you get real time updates, see the actual products being installed, delivery dates, progress photos, communication logs, and up-to-the-minute financials, including change orders. I loved having visibility to every part of our project, and it worked really well with my schedule. I could leave a question for Paramount in the app at night, knowing I would get a response the next day. After the project wrapped, we were impressed with Paramount's follow up. Levi, the owner, is a stickler for quality. During our final walk through, he noticed a couple of things that weren't up to his standards, and he made sure they were corrected. When a small issue came up with the Euro glass in our shower, he had the glass company come out to redo their work. Impressive, especially knowing how busy remodeling companies are these days.

It didn't. He never called back. I called twice explaining what I needed done and never got a response. I will try someone else probably next week.He had the most positive reviews so I called him instead of the others. No big deal, I'll find another. I probably have about 85% of my basement done. Need a little framing, a door set and a handrail refurbish in my entrance way.

    Baker Builders LLC
We chose Baker Builders from the start because of their professionalism. We finished our daughters basement into a mother-in-law apartment. They weren't the highest bid or the lowest but seemed to offer the guidance that we needed. We met at their office and felt comfortable right away. Dustin Baker is a very honest man, Susanne, the designer did just that, she is great! I can't say enough about Jay the construction manager. He is prompt, has any issues addressed immediately and did a great job! Thank you Baker Builders for our lovely new home!

We had a small 400 SF basement that was finished. Jim did a great job, even when some of the details from the way condo was built presented some challenges. We were able to get a small room, full bathroom and small laundry area built and it looks great. Jim was easy to work with as far as choice of colors and materials ect. He kept in communication when items were not available and he presented other options. Working with Jim was easy when we changed some items in the middle of project.

    Truste Construction LLC
We hired Truste Construction to finish our basement. We are very happy with the workmanship and quality of the finish. They did a fantastic job. Jeff and his crew were professional yet personable. As with any larger project, we ran into some issues. Jeff did a great job explaining the issue and advised us on ways to resolve them. He also made suggestions on ways to improve the design. We absolutely love the features he suggested. He worked hard to stay close the the original quote. His prices were very competitive. We made some changes as the project progressed which did push the cost a little higher. He handled all aspects of the project. He worked with the subcontractors and coordinated all of the scheduling. The project took a little longer than originally planned, but Jeff kept us informed on everything that was going on as the project progressed. We enthusiastically recommend Truste Construction.

I hired Paramount to finish my basement and received very good results. The price was very competitive and the quality of work was excellent. The Paramount team was extremely polite, helpful, and respectful. I am very happy with the way the basement turned out and I will definitely be using Paramount again for future projects.

Jeff and his team did great. We had them finish our basement from start to finish in two phases. We had a general idea of what we were looking for, but Jeff helped us layout a plan best for the space we had. AJ does excellent work as well - timely and professional. He works really well with his subcontractors. During both phases, the project came in right at budget, and on time.

    Viking Custom Builders
Erik Nielsen and Viking Custom Builders are VERY impressive. They handled our basement finish from design to finishing touches. Several great points: 1) Project cost quote. Before anything is signed, Erik puts together a comprehensive quote for the project. If you stick to the allowances for material selections and don't decide on extras like moving a water heater, for example, that is exactly what it will cost. There are no overruns. 2) Schedule management. Before the project begins, a full Microsoft Project schedule is provided in addition to a list of need dates for customer selections (bathroom fixtures, vanities, colors, flooring, etc.). They also provide a suggest list of vendors to help with the selections. We stuck with their recommendations, and couldn't be happier. Erik sends out progress reports and schedule updates on a weekly basis. They will be done when they say they're going to be done. They actually finished our project a week early. 3) Project execution. This is one of the coolest things: They will not be going through your main house during basement work. They will use the egress window, and install a portapotty on site. Everything gets loaded through that window - it's really amazing. The crews are VERY efficient - they will load a complete tool set for the task at hand, limiting interruptions due to something being missing. They are also very clean - the day's work was always cleaned up. Even the building inspector was impressed! 4) Communication. All of the work crews were very friendly and knowledgable, and readily available to answer questions or address concerns. Erik is extremely responsive - I don't think we ever waited more than 4 hours for an email response. I cannot think of a single bad thing to say about this experience. No, they will not be the cheapest you find. But the quality and service you receive is worth it. I'm kind of sorry that all they do is basement finishing - I'd love to have them do more stuff to our house!

    McCarver & Sons LLC
We hired Don based on his word to complete our basement within 8 weeks. It turned into 5 months and was one of the worst experiences weve been through. He didnt finish the last part of the project, which was not measured correctly, and now my husband will have to complete. The communication was terrible and often misleading. The only time we could depend on Don to check on the basement, was when he needed to get paid. The contract is super confusing on whats included and whats not. He was often very difficult to deal with and the invoices he gave us, were incorrect. He admitted to us that he under bid to win the job. We would not recommend him for a basement remodel.
