FMy privacy was compromised and they misrepresented themselves so I was not able to make an informed choice. This was unethical and takes advantage of insurance. I complained to BBB and Urgent Care didn’t tell the truth about the creepy man who sat in the room next to me staring while I was answering questions and having temp. Etc done. Eventually a nurse moved the man. They told BBB IT WAS AN EMPLOYEE. I asked before going back if Urgent Care was able to treat me rather than refer me out because I just came from a Drs office who referred me to urgent care since they Didn’t have access to immediate lab work etc. I asked Urgent Care if they had the resources because I didn’t want to waste my time but they said they could treat me so I went back. I was very detailed before going back so that I wouldn’t be referred out again. After taking Temp. Blood pressure etc. they told me they told me to go to ER BECAUSE THEY DIDNT HAVE THE RESOURCES!! After researching this co. I saw they do this often which is a way to get insurance money. As soon as they take your temp, they can bill $189! Unethical and doesn’t care about patient privacy. They should be investigated. I drove to the ER and spoke with the nurse who said it would be unethical to charge me. I decided NOT to get admitted because I wasn’t that sick. She told the next time I go to high altitude to get a script for oxygen. The ER didn’t charge me either. I asked to have my credit card credited and Urgent Care would look into it. Months later I get a call there was a bal of $89! I had to pay within 24 hours or collections! Urgent Care Of CO is unprofessional, dishonest and refuses to fix their mistakes.

AEdwin Risenhoover MDI have a sinus infection, and my primary care doctor wanted me to visit the local Covid-19 office in case my symptoms were connected to the virus. Dr. Risenhoover was the attending doctor at the time, and I don't think that I've ever had a better health visit in my life. Despite the long hours and stress that I'm sure he and his team are under, and the risk that our front line medical professionals face in trying to help the community through this outbreak - Dr. Risenhoover showed an exceptional level of knowledge, experience, and compassion in the face of danger. There was also a moment at the end of our visit where he took a partial seat against the table behind him and wanted to help answer any of my concerns about what is going on right now. It was such a human moment in this crazy storm, and what was supposed to be just a quick visit to check on my symptoms has me tempted to change doctors. He seems to care a great deal about his patients' health and the quality of his work.- Jason L.

FApex Family MedicineI had gone here for a few years and really enjoyed my original doctor, who unfortunately left the practice. I scheduled an appointment in April of 2020 and they told me that my old doctor is no longer there, but scheduled me with another doctor on Zoom. When I logged onto Zoom, the doctor was clearly reading my file for the first time, asked if I felt okay, if I had any questions, if I had any signs of COVID, and that was it. The entire Zoom visit was about 3-5 minutes. Then later I got a letter telling me that I owed them $200... apparently something had changed with my insurance and they didn't let me know... I told them that it was outrageous for some guy to log onto Zoom and ask me if I was okay, then charge me $200... sickening. But they could care less and sent me to collections. This whole process makes me sick, charging a kid in his 20s $200 to ask if he was okay without him knowing it would be anywhere near that cost? I also told them I was okay to pay the $30 copay (which is still a lot for logging onto Zoom), but they just ignored me. Also be sure to check out the BBB reviews, and other website reviews. All are accurate.- Anthony C.

ABoekes, Dr. Chad EHe's a fantastic doctor who is willing to listen to your issues and questions, and does a great job communicating the situation and your treatment options. He's not always the most punctual (late afternoons are the worst), but it's because he's willing to spend time with his patients. He's well worth the wait though!- Russell S.

ACarl Moritz MD,FAAFPDr. Moritz is kind, a good listener and calmly explains things. He seems to be good at diagnosing problems and recommending the appropriate tests and specialists. His office staff/nurses/technicians were top notch and very helpful which isn't always the case these days. I am not sure what the cost will be as they did not charge me for my visits but, rather, sent everything to my insurance company.- Jerry P.

ADenver Family MedicineDenver Family Medicine in it's various forms has been my Primary Care go to resource since 1973 when I first saw Dr Neil Sullivan(now retired). My current Doctor is Bradley Alger who is extremely helpful with my various problems as I age. He has helped me manage Type II Diabetes for 15 years with diet and minimal medication. I have seen most of the Physicians at Denver Family Medicine at one time or another and find them all to be concerned, friendly and professional. I would and have recommend their practice without hesitation to my closest friends.- Don G.
