    Paul Davis Restoration
Ed Bremer, who was in charge of the team who worked on our house did an excellant job of getting the work done. He quoted for some work we wanted which was not covered by the insurance company. That extra work was done as we had agreed, in a timely manner, and for the exact amount upon which we had agreed. I would recommend Mr. Bremer and Paul Davis Restoration for any similar work a person may want or need

During the closing process of a house we bought in rural Colorado, we had a radon level of 20 that was discovered during the home inspection.  When I initially called SWAT, the receptionist was extremely helpful over the phone, took detailed notes of what the house looked like and gave me a reasonable quote.  However, when I asked about their company guarantee for their work, the answer wasn't exactly clear.  I was told that the guarantee was for the integrity of the PVC piping (which lasts forever anyway) and a 4-5 yr guarantee for the mechanical fan.  I was under the impression that if the initial system did not get the radon below 4 and the company had to return to the house for further construction, that extra construction would be more money out of my pocket.  Because of this, I decided to try and go with another company who did give a guarantee to get the radon level below 4.
It was only after the other company fell through that we went back to SWAT.  SWAT was actually chosen by the seller of our house and during this process, I was very nervous about the guarantee as described above.  The system was installed exactly the way the technician, Brian, had described it, everything was hidden away, no unsightly PVC piping on the exterior of the house, no pipes in living areas etc.  And, the installation was a very complex process with multiple levels, large crawl spaces and pesky footers.  When the repeat radon test came back at 4.1, SWAT was very responsive.  Considering that the closing date was less than a week away at this point and it depended on an appropriate mitigation system installed, Brian was back up at the house within a few days and installed a bigger fan.  The best part was, there was no extra charge for this, even though the house is 30 miles from town.
While the repeat radon test is currently still pending, I feel confident that it will be below 4, and if it isn't, I am confident that SWAT will stand behind their work.  Throughout the whole process, they were easy to get a hold of, clear on the phone, and knowledgeable about their work.  The only criticism and reason I am not giving them an "A" rating is due to the initial confusion about the guarantee.  If I had been more clear on this, it could have saved me a lot of time and headache from dealing with the other company.

    Drennen Custom Contracting
Drennan was recommended to me by our home inspector during the closing process of our home in rural Colorado. We needed a radon mitigation system installed. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful, actually putting me in contact with the owner, Mr Drennan. Speaking to Mr Drennan over the phone was a bit of a frustrating challenge, he was difficult to understand and talked over me a lot, but did eventually answer all my questions. Specifically, I was happy with the guarantee that was given with their work: i.e. the price includes any re-visits or adjustments to the system post installation to ensure the radon level was below 4. I was quoted a price that I was happy with and scheduled the technician to come to the house.
When the technician came to install the system, he and his partner were both punctual and professional. However after seeing how complicated the installation was going to actually be, the technician said the actual price was twice what was quoted to me, and he didn't have the right equipment with him that day. He asked that I then reschedule so that an appropriate system could be placed. This of course was a huge inconvenience considering the closing date was nearing, and I lived out of town, having only that one date to get this taken care of. When I tried to call Mr Drennan back to discuss the fact that he had given me an inaccurate quote, that his technicians were unprepared, and that since I specifically asked him to give me an on site quote which he said he didn't need, I think I deserved a little money back on the end figure, Mr Drennan was unavailable. Actually never did get back to me.
In the end we went with another contractor who did a great job. Overall, I think that Drennan would have done a fine job for a fairly reasonable price, but the quote process was very painful and a waste of time.

Radon Home Measurement and Mitigation, Inc.
Awful, it started when they said they were qualified to go by EPA guidelines, they used charcoal instead, so still had amounts of radioactivity in the water. went to court.
