    After going in for the same thing several times, at the insistence of Dr. Marlatt, which seemed like a waste of time, I went to another optometrist who told me that the repeat exams for the same thing and sending me to third party examiners was a joke and just their way of milking the insurance company (and not only wasting my time but soaking me for co-pays).

    They also wasted my time once I got there, with endless musical chairs of inane boredom- first the waiting room, then moved to a sitting room, then finally the exam room waiting for the "Doctor" who was with other patients.

    This is the only time that I have ever given a negative review. Don't go there.

    I took my mother to see Dr. Margolis. On the initial visit, I thought Dr. Margolis was very cold. He never looked at my mother or me during the entire visit. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt because I figured everyone has a bad day and you never know what people are going through. During the initial visit, he told us he would schedule my Mom for a and quot;dry eye visitand quot;. I didn't know why this had to be a separate visit, but figured that's how they do things. When we showed up for the dry eye visit, the receptionist told us that there was one test that, if my Mom opted for it, she would have to pay $80 because it's investigational and not covered by insurance. My mother is on a fixed income and opted not to have the test. A young lady took my mother into an examination room and told us all about this test and why it was so valuable. She also mentioned how not many doctors in Colorado have the machine. I politely told her my mother opted not to have it and she proceeded to run the other dry eye tests. When Dr. Margolis came in to see my Mom, he wanted to know why my mother didn't have the test. When I told him she didn't want to pay for it, he told her that he couldn't really treat her effectively without it and wanted to know and quot;what this visit is forand quot;. I told him that they had scheduled the visit, not us.Since I have Sjogrens, I am intimately familiar with dry eye. I've been seeing an ophthalmologist for 10 years, have never had this particular test, and have been treated very effectively. $80 may not be much to Dr. Margolis, but it is to a senior on a fixed income. If we had been told up front, we would not have let them schedule the visit.Another issue I have with the office is that if you call to schedule or change an appointment and the receptionist is busy, it sends you to voice mail. What's up with that? What ever happened to someone answering the phone and asking if they could put you on hold until they're finished? Needless to say, we will not be returning to Dr. Margolis.

    I've been there within the last year.  Again, I'm due to go back.  I just got a card from them so I would say it was probably last spring.  The card doesn’t tell me exactly when I went it just due for your check up kind of thing.  Certainly, I'm going back.  I just need to call and make an appointment.

    We had a very mixed experience.  We had a good experience with the ophthalmologist, but the people that ordered the glasses were awful because the first time they got the order wrong, so they sent it back.  They got the order in and I went and picked it up and it was special lenses that could be used for riding, biking and that could be used under the ski helmets.  The special lenses don’t even fit, so we called them and they said that they had the other lenses and that we can pick it up.  The doctor was very good.

    The staff at Loock Perfect Image Eyecare is friendly and professional and most of the time on time. I haven't had any problems as far as billing. They are very good about making sure you're getting the most out of your insurance. I will definitely see her again.

    I have never used contacts. The eye Dr talked me into trying them and informed me that if they didn't work for me I would not buy them...well the ones she talked me into did not work, so she told me I would need to try the other kind which I said definitely did not work and I will not use. I wasted a lot of money on contacts I never wanted and cant use. AND for the glasses I also told the Dr the prescription strength for my glasses, reading was not strong enough and she agreed to make it stronger but when they arrived the glasses were the weaker strength. But I am stuck with them because that is the prescription she wrote and I had them made. The glasses are useless for reading & have been since the day I got them. I can't read with my $300 and some dollar progressive lenses, instead I need to put on a dollar store pair. If I had not spoke up and ended up with this ok...but this was total disregard and careless practice from a Doctor and from the office staff. 
    My husband went, and three of my daughters, and my son in law. None of us having a good experience and finding they are ridiculous in price. We will not return, OK.
    Not the end of it. My daughter gets a phone call telling her she needs to pay for a missed appointment which she never made. It was an appointment in the middle of the day, she couldn't ever make such a thing because she runs her own daycare. She has her appointments in the evening. 
    A couple weeks later my husband gets an appointment reminder call on my phone which they had been told several times to call his not mine...however, I canceled it and told them we will not be back. And if you have appointments for any of us cancel them. She snapped at me "We don't have appointments for anybody in your family" Today I go to get my mail and there are 3 appointment reminder cards for American Vision Center. 1 for me and 2 for my daughters. I called and spoke with the same girl. Telling her how a few weeks ago I told her that if they had made any appointments for any of us to cancel all.  But ...It did not seem to register that this practice of making appointments for people without their consent is wrong. She informs me this is their preset appointments that they make. I said "What gives you the right to make appointments for people without their consent and then to try to charge them?" I also told them again we will not be back to their office ever.

    Highlands Ranch HD Eye Care
    Had a new pair of glasses made.  The frames at this place are far better than the selection at LensCrafters would be (and far more costly).  This seemed like a much "higher end" eyeglass store.

    Once the lens were cut however, they were so badly made I had to have them sent back.  Evidently HD Eye Care does not cut the lenses on site.  Whoever they use delivered the worst lens cut I have seen in 30 years.  The funny part is that these were identical frames to my previous ones. So I had an easy way to compare.

    All HD Eye Care did was take them back and have them polished.  For over $500, this was the worst service I've ever seen from an eyeglass retailer.  I ended up with glasses that had wavy edges, lens protruding out the front, and I had to wait almost a month for them to be fully done.

    It's too bad their lens making is so terrible.  They have nice frames at the store.

    Highlands Ranch HD Eye Care
    After cataract surgery on both eyes I needed corrective glasses for reading and intermediate focus.  After contacting a few providers I found that they did not seem to know how to deal with Medicare/supplemental insurance issues.
    Highlands Ranch HD eye care said it wouldn't be a problem and it wasn't for them.  Medicare paid for the basic glasses and I paid for the extras and there are many. 
    The staff was helpful and knowledgeable.  My only regret is buying "Transition lenses".  They are not a substitute for sunglasses and the TV  ads are some what  deceiving.  If you're thinking about purchasing them have the provider demonstrate them under different lighting conditions.

    Check in was easy and the front desk staff was friendly. The assistant that brought us back did not seem to relate to my child at all. My daughter was fearful of having the drops in her eyes. I expected them to have some games or solutions to handle this type of reaction. They didn't so I had to intervene to get the drops in her eyes. After the initial exam with the assistant who didn't ask me many questions or seem very interested in my presence, we were taken back to an exam room to see the dr.
    All he did was come in the room and say we needed to see a pediatric specialist since my daughter was farsighted. That should have been told to us before we even came in for an appointment. I was very unhappy and let them know. He said he would take a look at her eyes just to see if he noticed anything. I am extremely disappointed with the care from this office.
    We were just another patient they could use to get more money out of without providing the type of care needed. To make matters worse, they handed me my daughter's chart to bring the front desk. Written next to her name was "uncooperative." Giving that to a mother who just had a poor experience at your office is not a good choice.

    I have seen Dr. E. Naomi Matoba a handful of times now for exams and optical prescriptions and she has always been professional and knowledgeable. Her office equipment and techniques seem to be on the cutting edge and exams are very thorough. Even though I no longer work or live close to her office, I keep returning to her for these services, as I trust her and want to support this office.
