Internet Provider reviews in Hesperus

They resolved it in a couple of hours. Considering where we live that's not bad. We are in a very rural area. It's a monthly fee and we've been with them for at least five years. Their technical help is very responsive and very easy to speak with. We buy it through them. I make a phone call they answer right away. We had a problem with our satellite and they got it fixed.

Great! Mark showed up on time with all of the supplies he needed. He was courteous, answered my questions and didn't leave until he checked everything for me. He also explained the pricing structure & we chose to pay for a full year & got one month free! Plus, I mentioned that my neighbor recommended them so he in turn got one month free

Kyle came to our house the morning after I called him.  He cleared up some network issues we had, and determined that our internet speed was very slow.  He was very punctual, thorough, and efficient.  I will use his services in the future.

    Charter Communications
I've gone from Bresnan to Optimum to Charter in a very short time. Each time the price goes up but the functionality goes down

Other than the fact that you need a one week lead time, the service was excellent. The onsite installation guy even gave his cell number and offered to stop by on the way home if I had trouble with reconnecting my network which was not part of the contract. The phone service was excellent also.

It couldn't have gone better.  They came out to my rather remote house, assessed whether or not I was aligned to their microwave tower and then installed everything quickly and professionally.  After that they carefully explained everything I needed to know.  My internet service is always quick and storms do not affect it in any way, unlike satellite. They're always there for me even though I've never had a problem in the year I've had them.  Also, by prepaying for another year I get a free month so it's a real bargain.

    SkyWerx Industries LLC
Their service is very reliable. Ever since I have been using them, the price has been the same. It is adequately fast. It is a good enough speed for home use. They have multiple levels of service so that we can get faster and better service. I have the lowest level, which is good for home use.

I recently moved to a new home that is in a rural location and the only available traditional internet service was Qwest DSL. The speeds were slower than we really wanted, but they were the only game in town or so I thought. After some research I found a Wireless ISP called Sky Werx. I contacted Skywerx to see if service was available at my address. Sky Werx is a Wireless Internet Service Provider in Southwest Colorado serving Pagosa Springs, Bayfield, and Durango, CO. A technician came to my home and did a site survey to see if Sky Werx would be able to provide service. For their service you must have line of sight to one of their transceivers. Luckily my location was close enough with a clear view of the tower site. The technician then scheduled an install date to turn up my service. The service requires a small dish antenna similar to a satellite tv service and a run of cable to your router. The antenna is powered via the cable run via power over ethernet. The technician came out when promised and installed the antenna and the run of cable and configured my router. The install took a couple of hours, but when all was said and done I had service that was three times the speed of Qwest for the same monthly price. There was an install fee that covers the price of the antenna and the cable run that totaled $99. I currently have the 3 Mbps service and the technician told me my location is good for 10 Mbps if we wanted to upgrade. So far I'm very pleased with the service the ping times are very low and the connection is stable. Currently we stream video and have VOIP service. Of course time will tell, but if you are looking for an alternative to the incumbent bell or cable company in Southwest Colorado I would give Sky Werx a shot. They are a young, upstart company that is local and they offer speeds up to 20 Mbps.

The installation went well and service is exceptional.  Mike showed up on schedule to survey the site for service (it's a radio, line of sight service.  After a successful survey, we set up an installation date the day of my home closing.  The initial installation went well and several FCC speed checks showed service running at approximately 9-10 Mbps up and down.  The following Sunday we were hit by a series of thunderstorms with several close lightening strikes.  My electrical power was up and down.  We're not sure about the cause but my radio transmitter/receiver failed.  Mike and his tech showed up the next morning and replaced it.  Since then service is running at 10-19 Mbps up and down.  It has been running reliably for a month now with two or three short intervals of 2-3 Mbps service but mostly running at speeds in the 15-20 range; I have been checking it once to twice daily.  I recommend them with no reservations.  The $479 fee covers installation and a year of service.  You must provide your own router.  With the exceptional speeds, I suggest a good quality router.  I am using a Buffalo 1750 DHPD,  with the added advantage of a 3 yr warrantee.

We have had Exede/Wild Blue, though Farmer's Telecommunication, for 9 years.  With only minor issues they have consistently provided internet svc to us. We live in an area with 50+ yr old phone lines in the Rocky Mtns (no line of sight access) so satellite is our only option.
