Kenny Anderson and his crew arrived on time, reviewed work to be done, and proceeded in a professional manner to install and adjust four Smart Jacks installed beneath the front porch deck. This was primarily a preventive measure, as minor settling had previously been noted and repaired on another part of the deck.

The quick version: After $21,000 there is still a 4" slope across a small living room when I was told they could get it to around 1". The long version: I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with Peak Structural nearly every step of the way. While the initial consultation encouraged me that Peak Structural could repair my sagging floor joists, just about everything went wrong after that. From the first “design specialist" who made a false assumption about a water line without telling me and cost me an extra $2000 and month-long delay (that snowballed into many other issues) to the promise that I would receive photos of cut HVAC ducts which I’ve never received after asking many times, to a complete lack of care for my time or schedule, Peak Structural has added immense amounts of stress in my life without delivering any solutions. In addition to the scheduling and communication nightmares, the waste of my time when they scheduled the wrong people, and a project that hasn’t been completed by the end of January when it was supposed to be completed in September…the final outcome is the biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent. I was told that they could jack up my floors to around a 1”-2” slope across my floors. After over $21,000 I still have a 4” difference across just my living room- about 10’ wide. I highly recommend that nobody use this company if they want work done well, on time, and in a respectful manner.

Rate and review Peak Structural, 707 County Line Rd, Palmer Lake, CO 80133 Jim Miller Your review will be posted publicly on the web. Learn more Our project consisted of installing Smart Jacks to shore up some minor settlement of our front deck due to deterioration of 6" wooden support pillars over time. The crew foreman, Kenny Anderson, and his two crew members showed up onsite promptly at 8:00 AM, analyzed the situation and proceeded with the Smart Jack installation in a very professional and workmanlike manner. They were able to restore the existing pillars to their original positions while preserving the adjacent architectural elements with no damage. Kenny and his crew were very cordial at all times, cleaned up the work area and completed the job in a prompt and efficient manner. We are quite pleased with the completed project and would not hesitate to call upon Peak Structural again if needed for any future structural requirements.

Justin inspected the foundation crack and cracking walls and the sticking door I was concerned about. He also pointed out a few things I hadn't noticed and gave me advice on what action to take next. I will absolutely contact Justin again if these symptoms get worse.

    Art of Engineering
It went great. I'd had another company out to look at things and they recommended a pricey solution, the physics of which seemed shaky to me. The Art of Engineering came out and it was really nice to be able to have him draw force diagrams, etc and come to the same conclusion that I did. He made me feel comfortable with the good and bad things about this 114 year old home's foundation and he gave lots of great suggestions for ways to make it better.

He showed up on time and took a look at the situation. He brought a special metal detector to help locate any rebar inside the wall which was very helpful. He wrote a letter to the city on the spot which gave approval for drilling the hole. He charged me a reasonable amount for the work. No problems.
