I need an old double driveway gate repaired and a new walk gate built and installed. The quality and attention to detail was outstanding. He understood what I needed and provided two excellent looking gates.

Positive experience. Roberto listened to what I wanted and saw that I got the work completed as I requested. The rain slowed the progress because the work area was made muddy so owner and crew made adjustments as needed. The work crew was friendly and responsive to my requests. Good suggestion to move AC unit off area to allow best concrete placement. The area looks great. The crew was careful to guard the brick on the house from concrete splashes.

Apparently the builder, Nate Porter of Porter Homes is a personal friend of Mike's and therefore he refused to write me a report or a bid, and would not return phone calls or email. After telling me what a bad concrete and sealing job it is, he wouldn't put his name to it to protect his friend. Is this what we expect from a company?

The concrete job was done in a timely manner, but it did crack in two places. The silicone used to fill the cracks was not of high quality, and was never installed correctly for long term. Also, where the patio meets th house foundation was not properly prepared for the concrete to be to adhere correctly to the foundation. Silicone was used improperly to fill the cracks between the patio and foundation of the house. Also, there were no pole strings put in to run wire, etc. through the pipe in the patio as well as the sidewalk. We have used this cement contractor in the 90s, and received a higher quality of work. All of the silicone he used was substandard and has turned brown, it looks really terrible. He's consistantly told us that he would come out and fix the work, but that's never happened.

My mother is very pleased so we are, too. This has improved her independence as she really wants to stay in her house but can no longer do the outside maintenance. Over the last year, we have found him to be very reliable and honest. He will do minor repairs but if you have major outdoor issues, he may or may not be able to help you.

Very happy with my choice for contractor!!! The room addition is beautiful, it was done on time and was $9000 cheaper than other bids. When I contacted them for a bid, there were two other reviews on Angies List and neither was glowing. They had done a shed for me in the past and I had no complaints, so I decided to get a quote anyway. I worked with Chad S and not only has he lived up to written promises, any verbal concerns or changes were addressed immediately and to my satisfaction. This was my first time d*** a large project and I really didn't know what I was doing, so I had some changes and additions once the project was underway. Chad was always helpful and I never felt he was taking advantage of my naivety. I was a little worried about horror stories of cost overruns, but there was only one added cost and it wasnt completely unexpected. Chad had mentioned the possibility up front and I felt the additional cost was very fair. There was also quite a bit of damage to the yard, but again, Chad had warned me in advance there would be damage because weather conditions were less than ideal. Work was done in the winter; they had to thaw the ground and then it became a muddy mess. Considering conditions, I am surprised that the work was done on time and pretty darn close to budget. They built me a beautiful 13X16 room addition, complete with matching stucco and a 10 X 12 shed in just about 6 weeks, in some pretty foul weather conditions. All in all, I would highly recommend Mor Storage as a general contractor, as long as Chad is the project manager. I will definitely be contacting them for future projects!

I'd arranged to get three estimates to replace a garage door at home. Ryan came in with the best price. However, it was not just the price that won us over. He also took the time to diagnose our broken garage door opener and tell us what it would take to fix it. Ryan gives you the sense of a real "can-do" attitude. You can also sense his integrity. He is personable and friendly. Thus, Monument was our choice.
Ryan showed up at scheduled. Actually, he was a little early (we agreed on the earlier time). The work took almost precisely 2.5 hours (which he told me it would). He removed the old garage door (and got rid of it) and replaced it with a good quality new door. Ryan also replaced a switch on the garage door opener (which cost $8) and charged $35 in labor. He replaced two sensors for free (since he had the parts from another job he'd completed recently).
We were very pleased with Monument and Ryan's work. We'd strongly recommend him and use them again in the future.

He showed up on time and started work. He provided all the materials and consulted with me frequently about what he was doing. He worked very hard and didn't take breaks. When the concrete was poured, I asked him to scrape off some at a certain point to make the grade steeper. He was happy to oblige. He was even willing to put that scraped-off concrete at the base of a fence post I had that was wobbly. In addition, he replaced a piece of wood under my front door that was rotted. He did more than I expected and was very cheerful and professional. He came back twice to make sure everything was good and apply some finishing touches. VERY GOOD work and customer service!

When we purchased our current home in Grand Junction the property was well maintained in the front yard but the back yard was

deplorable.  The original owners had constructed a deck around an above ground pool. Part of the deck was in OK condition but a walkway down one side was falling apart.  In addition, river rock used to improve the front yard was probably delivered and placed in the pool area which was no longer in use and had a plastic liner mesh left in place under the gravel.  In addition, a pile of mud and lava rock was deposited on top of the gravel that had been removed from gardens in the front yard.  A commercial storage

building in the rear had an add-on structure that the owner had built for his golf cart.  Because it had a flat roof, leaking from snow accumulation had ruined the floor and ceiling of the add on structure.  We had been putting off doing something about the back yard for 3 years.

We called one of the highly rated companies on Angie's list and they responded within 2 days to evaluate the job.  We wanted the gravel and mud removed and a rock garden put in its place.  The rotten part of the deck removed and the entire add on structure to the shed removed.  I wanted rock put in place where the shed add on was located.  I also wanted rock placed along the entire length of the back of the house to form a 3 foot walkway.  In addition, we needed a 38 ft. section of fence replaced and a gate installed by the walkway.  After getting the details the owner told me that he was very busy but would get me a quote after he returned from a trip the following week.  I let a month go by and had no response so I called and he again indicated that he was very busy and contemplating hiring additional help but assured me he would E-Mail me a quote soon.  I received it about two days

    later for $3850.

Since we didn't see any other landscape contractors we liked, my wife decided to try the Yellow Pages.  She found a company Grand Valley Landscape Services and gave them a call.  The owner Roberto Gomez came out the next day.  I discussed what I was planning and he had some VERY helpful suggestions.  One of the best ones was to go with concrete flatwork for the walkway which he said he could do as inexpensively as gravel.  I also wanted to pour a pad for my garbage cans in the front of the house since we were doing concrete.  He approached the mud and lava rock differently and leveled and contoured it to make an attractive garden.  At first I was going to forgo planting anything this season but he insisted that he wanted the job to look good and agreed to plant several xeriscape plants and run a drip line from the existing sprinkler system at no extra cost.  He also suggested planting grass where the shed add on was removed and agreed to also plant grass on a 10 x 10 section where we had removed a tree and ground the stump earlier.  He edged the garden with metal edging and removed the electrical from the add-on shed.  He replaced the 38 ft. section of fencing with cedar 5 inch and cedar posts after removing the old fence and disassembling an iron gate frame.  He built a new gate over the walkway.

The completed job has made an incredible improvement to the look of our back yard.  We can walk the length of the yard without having to dodge the dog's piles on the new walkway.  Our garbage cans are easily rolled into place on the side of the house.

The plants are doing nicely.  The fence looks great and I'm going to have it stained to match the house color.  The grass has grown in nicely.  Roberto's bid for the entire job including materials was $3000 and he stuck to it in spite of continuous changes that we made along the way.  He asked for NO money up front even when they got started and there were some labor and

materials costs.  I insisted on giving him half when the concrete was delivered and we paid the other half on completion.  The walkway was appropriately sloped away from the foundation and tied in with re-bar drilled into the chain wall.  He is a true

landscape professional and his prices could not be better.  He was able to provide us with references before we started the job and they spoke very highly of his company.  I was surprised to find that he is not on Angie's List but I am very pleased to add his company and offer my highest recommendation for his work.
