The project began with carpet selection.  There were many choices and options to fit what we had in mind including our budget.  We received professional and helpful advice.  The carpet installation began 8 business days later.  The installer was professional and meticulous.  The installation was challenging due to the pattern, but the installer was adept at matching the seams and pattern.  The installer kept us apprised of each step and answered many questions which we appreciated.  The company called the next day to make sure we were pleased.  We are!

I originally contacted Paul to have him give me an estimate on finishing my laminate flooring.  He came out and gave me the estimate of approximately 4-5 hours to complete the job, with the rate being $20.00/hour.  He was not able to do the job for weeks, as he was busy.  Therefore, I waited until this Fall to see if he would have time to do the job.  As he had already given me the estimate and rate, he scheduled a time to come out within in week.  He did come out as promised, yet he brought another gentleman to help him with the job.  It took them 8 hours and they still didn't complete the job.  At that time, I asked how much more time it would take him and he told me at least another 2 hours.  It was at this point, AFTER he completed the majority of the job, that he told me his rate would now be $50.00/hour instead of the quoted $20.00/hour.  Completely unacceptable.  I sopke with a contractor that does carpentry on custom homes, and I was told that, even with that level of expertise, he only charges $30.00/hour.  I told Paul I did not want him back to complete any more of the job (at least the 2 hours) and t hat I was very unhappy with his business practices of quoting me one price, then increasing that quote by          without telling me before he did the job that day.  I will not recommend his services, as this is fraudulent.  This job went from being estimated at $100.00 to over $500.00.

I stopped by one saturday to look in to pricing for some new flooring I was helped by Carman and she made me really feel welcome and that she cared about my needs. we went over a few options and she sent me home with some samples. A week later I made up my mind and called to set up a measurement. When I called I was informed that Carmen no longer worked there. They offered to schedule a measurement but was 10 days out! And on top of that they were very rude not as nice as Carmen was.

Everything went great. Before the purchase the salesman was very helpful in guiding us through the best flooring for our needs. He actually talked us out of a and quot;newerand quot; high tech product that probably cost more than the product we purchased. ( Sometimes new doesn't always mean the best.). We were on a tight schedule for a construction project and they really stayed within the time restriction. We've had the floor for about 6 months now and I couldn't be happier with our choice.

    Abbey Carpet & Floor
Abbey did a great job. It took about three weeks for them to get the materials in, but after they did, they scheduled the job and got it done quickly and efficiently. Their work looks great. This is the second time we've used Abbey Carpet and Flooring and they have done very good jobs for us both times. They also have good follow-up and accountability.

    Neilson's Hardwood Flooring INC
They gave a bid and agreed to install the floors and would be finished in 2 weeks or less. The job took 2 months and meanwhile we couldnt live in the house. They couldnt get the stain right and redid it 3 times, each time sanding off more wood. The installer was rude. He ruined the basement carpet after installing hardwood on the stairs. The stain is still not even and neither is the sanding. The owner said he would get the carpet repaired but I never saw him again.
