Fence Company reviews in Grand Junction

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Jim and Joe were great to work with, patient with my barking dogs, and built a perfect fence.  They worked quickly and efficiently, kept us informed of any potential issues as they went, and were easy to communicate with.  We love the new fence, and we'll absolutely be reaching out again as new fence or decking projects come up.  Highly recommended, honest and nice service; thanks!

  • Very prompt and professional.  Fence turned out beautifully.  Materials were top quality and installers were excellent.  I will definitely use Valleywide Fence Co. again.  Sean went above and beyond to accomodate our needs.

  • We used this company because they are one of the main fencing companies you see all over town.  We made the mistake of assuming that meant they were good.  It took several days to get them out to give us an estimate, which was higher than expected but lower than another estimate we got.  They scheduled a time to come out but didn't show up for three weeks after that date, and that was after my calling several times to find out what was going on.  Turned out that they had a big job in Aspen that took priority over us.  Obviously money takes precedence over integrity for this company.
When they finally showed up, they would come for about an hour, then disappear for a day or two.  They only dug part of the needed holes on each of two days rather than getting it all done at once, then would disappear for a couple of days.  They did the same thing with pouring the concrete into the holes and setting the posts.  I told them at least twice where I wanted the fence to go to, but they only made it go part-way, so they had to dig even more holes, taking even longer.  What should have taken about two or three days at the most took more than two weeks (after showing up three weeks late) because they would only come do a little bit of work each time, then disappear for days on end.  There was absolutely no communication on their end explaining what was going on.  They would just leave when they decided they were done for the day.  It took several increasingly-annoyed phone calls to them to finally come finish the job.  Once they did, one of the gates was hung crooked and doesn't close right.  We called them about this and rather than fixing the crooked gait, they shaved a little bit off the edge of it so it would close a little better.  This only worked for a couple of days before it started hanging up again.  The entire frame of the gate is crooked.  Although it is under warranty and they should technically fix it for us for free, we don't want to have anything else to do with them so we're going to just deal with it or come up with our own solution.  We spent way too much for a so-so job and very poor customer service.
Don't make the mistake of assuming that if it's a big local name, it must be good.

  • Was pretty straight forward, explained that we wanted to seperate each units yard and tie in to the existing fence out back.
They where done with all the units in three days and left the yards clean and neat.

  • It went terrible. They recieved full payment. I paid them every two weeks to do the job. By the third one, all that had been done was placement of cement poles underneath a deck. It was just the base. After several efforts of trying to get a hold of them, we finally did. One of the gentleman came and said that all the money had been spent. We called him, he came and attempted to put the boards on. The quality of work was below standard. The structure is unsafe for any kind of use, and the contractor dealt with us very beligerently. We had to actually contact an attorney to get him terminated yesterday. He didn't purchase the materials with the money we had paid, so we don't have any materials for the job even though it's all been paid for.

The materials that he did use are no longer useable.

  • From my first contact with Justin Knight, he always responded promptly, whether by phone, with quotes, to getting every task complete. All work done shows qualiity and professionalism. He is quick and efficient. We remodeled two properties at the same time and first came accross some "plumbers" who messed up the beginning of our project. When we were told about Knights Construction, (by Troy Palmer Drywall, also excellent) we felt we were given a great gift! Justin Knight, in turn gave us names of a quality plumber, electrician, painter, etc. With Justin's help, we are close to completion and both properties have been transformed from run down to true show cases.

  • Taylor fence was here on time, did what they said they would and even when we had bad weather and we lost some of our slats they came out promptly and replaced them. They have been a Company that I would go to bat for anyday of the week. They take pride in their work and it shows.
