Swingle Lawn, Tree & Landscape Care
This is the third year I have used Swingle to install holiday lighting on my home.  They make it so easy.  They provide the lights and holiday decor which eliminates the need to store it and replace burned out bulbs, etc.  The installers are courteous and professional.  They call you the day before and they show up when they say they will.  They are very neat and clean up the area when they are done.  My house looks great and is the envy of the neighborhood.  Once the holiday season is over, they will take down the lights and decorations in the same professional manner that they used when they installed them.
Last year, I had a couple of burned out bulbs.  I called them and they were out the next day to replace them.  They are very responsive to service requests.  I highly recommend them.

    ARCADIA DESIGN GROUP
It s difficult to say enough good things about this company, the employees and the quality of their work. Brice, the landsacpe architect, came up with a great design for the space. He allowed us to make some suggested changes, but pushed back on some ideas of mine that would have been mistakes. He was onsite at multiple critical times to insist on the exact placement of boulders, the pitch of the pathway, the placement of plants and the lighting configuration. He has a great eye for design and great knowledge of the materials and plants that will work in our environment. Devin, the ownerr, is one of the most conscientious contractors I have ever worked with. Extremely organized, he kept his team working very efficiently. He was on site almost every day, inspecting and insisting that all the work be done carefully and correctly. He has been back multiple times since completion, to check on plant progress ( replacing a few that were looking weak), adjusting lighting, and checking on our satisfaction. The team that worked on our place has been with Devin for over a decade. They are hardworking, careful, talented stone masons and machine operators. Their cleanup on completion was exemplary. We highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a hardscape/landscape project. We would definitely use them again in the future.

    The Outsiders
We found this company to be responsive and reliable.  They did exactly what we contracted for and left us with a very professional result.  It is obvious that The Outsiders take pride in the work that they do - that pride is evident in the finished result.  We would use them again in a heartbeat!

    FRONT RANGE LANDSCAPE & NRSRY
It took 3 weeks for a crew of three men and a bobcat to complete the work. They also worked on Saturdays due to the back log of others waiting for Front Range to do work. They worked all day for nearly 3 weeks. The workers were very nice and their foreman spoke English. I could speak with them or Joel or both regarding concerns I had as the work was completed. All went as planned. Because I added things to the project along the way, Joel repeatedly wrote up amended work orders and updated the drawings. My project doubled in cost as I added things.
This company has a one year guaranty for their plants. I have only one tree that appears stressed and may need to be replaced. I won't know how that goes until next Spring.
I have only minor complaints, so minor that I have not mentioned them to Joel. The bobcat left certain areas of the property a little torn up. I had to plant grass seed on the fill dirt and sloped area myself, since they did not plan to do that. We are not particularly thrilled with the metal edging used in landscaping, but I will lay brick along those borders eventually anyway. They were supposed to use P gravel for the submerged French drains they installed and connected to the front gutter downspouts. I don't think they did. It looked like they used the loose gravel and soil existing on my property instead. However, they did install vents at the end of the lines so that the water will force open a spring contraption allowing water to exit. This is probably just fine. Other downspouts out back and on the sides were submerged and extended to wild areas of the property and allowed to Daylight out into the scrub oak and pines.
I may have Front Range replace one 10 ft Ponderosa Pine in Spring. If so I may have them add a few more trees at that time and if necessary another drip line station.
They worked closely with their neighbor B-stone to provide some of the specialty boulders so that the project could be completed on time.
Overall, I really liked the work. They said if I have any issues to call them and they will come back. They suggest we might need more rock as it settles over time. They were very professional. I liked the fact that everything was in writing as we proceeded with the project. Can't really complain about anything thus far.
I have been burned by so many companies that do construction work in the various homes and states where we have lived. Front Range appears to be one of the Good Guys I have been blessed to have chosen to do business with. I highly recommend Front Range. They are straight up honorable and dependable guys. The cost seems high but for 3 workers x 3 weeks, it takes a lot of labor to do this work.

    B R & D LANDSCAPE INC
Start to finish everything went great. The crews were on time every morning. The foreman and his workers worked extremely well together. I had materials on site, but didnt know if I had enough. They kept me informed of their needs and I was able to have more delivered and no one missed a step. When all was completed I had only three or four boulders left.

    Matt's Maintenance Tree Service
Called to get an estimate, got answering machine and left a message. He tried to call back once, and when I tried to return call had to leave another message. Tried calling for two weeks with out a return call from the company. When I finally asked about his coupon on Angie's list he told me he didn't know anything about it and he hadn't set anything up. He also said he doesn't do estimated for stump removal because it costs him money and he would rather just come by and remove it. We talked price on the phone and he agreed to honor the 100 coupon on this site. He told me he would call back to set up a date and time last Friday. I still haven't heard anything and have gone with another contractor!

    Tree Pros Inc
Paul came out in June and did an inspection of trees, shrubs, etc. Presented a fair bid to trim, prune, remove, etc. but originally wasn't able to come out until the end of July to do the work. He was able to accommodate moving the date forward a couple of weeks that was greatly appreciated. An emergency came up that didn't allow us to be home for the completion of the work. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding regarding some of the work and Paul and his team came out to resolve the issue the following week. He was pleasant, professional and refused to take additional payment for the trip. He respects his customers and has a high level of integrity.

    DR. GREEN'S LAWNCARE INC
.They finished work on 1 June 2012 and the lawn looked great.  That afternoon after I paid the balance of my bill I left town for a week. Upon my return on Sunday, 10 june 2012, I found my new lawn nearly dead from no watering. The cause being an improperly programmed sprinkler clock. I found serious errosion in my front yard where the supply line was disconnected from zone one.  My front lawn was drying up because zone two was not wire correctly and zone one had the water supply gushing underground becasue it wasn't connected.  I called the owner of Dr. Greens Landscaping and Lawncare and got no response to the message I left on his answering machine.
My son corrected all of the problems no thanks to Dr, Greens.

    Harbor Landscape Co
Our requirements were not met, not even close.  We contracted for over 7 tons of material, received less than 1 ton.  Waterfall looks like it was built by a complete amateur or 10 year child.  Harbor Landscape argued about terms, did not complete project and would not provide an invoice of materials bought for project.  They left a complete mess in our yard; dirt piles, rocks, dead plants.  Rubber lining shows all around the waterfall and hose for the waterfall was left loose at top of waterfall.  Water sprays outside the waterfall area when you turn it on.  The "pondless" pond is a huge crater of different sized rocks, it is a crying shame.  When we hired another company to fix the problems, that company said they have had to fix many problems created by Harbor Landscape for other customers.  We are now out the initial $1500 plus an additional $3,000 to fix the problems created by Harbor.  DO NOT CONTRACT ANY JOB WITH THIS COMPANY!  Read the other google complaints about this company, we did not see them first and we paid the price!

    Ronnie Hangus Tree Care
The team of Russell Mangus and Johnnie Higby (hence the company name) were scheduled to arrive at 8am. They called me at 7:30am to let me know they would be late but would arrive by 9am - they were at the tree at 9am. Even though they had to reschedule to a later time, the fact they called me BEFORE the appointment to let me know was AWESOME. The tree had to be climbed to cut down larger limbs and then they dropped it exactly where it needed to go - between the fence and the barn. Russ and Johnie were polite, friendly, professional and fun to work with. If I ever have anything that needs to be done in the future with my big trees (cutting off dead limbs, spraying, etc), I will call them directly and not bother to call anyone else. I had called 2 services already listed in Angie's List but neither of those services even bothered to return my inquiry phone call. Ronnie Hangus Tree Service called me back the next day and were able to provide the service the following week. Thank goodness they had posted small but high quality posters around my neighborhood. Russel Mangus can be contacted at 720-284-1705, russellmangus@yahoo.com and John Higby can be contacted at 303-522-1239, johnnybhigby@gmail.com. I don't have one negative thing to say about these guys.
