I recently moved here from IN and I was looking into pet insurance for my pups.  Because my lab-mix was over 7yrs old, he needed to have a full-exam to qualify.  I began researching vets in my area and Moore Animal Hospital had the best on-line reviews along with two other vets.  I decided to call all three to get price quotes for exams.  I was just going to go with the cheapest.  Moore was my fir...

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
My lab-mix needed surgery to have a tumor removed.  The biopsy revealed abnormal cell growth inside the lump.  He has had a cancerous tumor before, so there was a major cause for concern.  I immediately scheduled his surgery for the following Monday.  They estimated the surgery would cost $400-$500 dollars, but the tumor was deep in his muscle tissue.  The surgery took longer than expected and more tissue than expected had to be removed.  The surgery ended up costing $810, BUT because they gave us an estimate of $400-$500 they discounted the bill $200 and met us in the middle at $610.  Of course that made me very happy as they did not have to give us a discount at all, but staying true to their word, they dropped the price $200!  We brought him home to recover all bandaged and gimpy, but a few days later he was up walking and almost running around like it had never happened.  It took almost 3 weeks for the wound to close and then we went back for suture removal.  He had a large pocket of fluid that had built up.  They tried to drain it but couldn't get much to come out.  They suggested placing an ice pack on it 3 times a day.  We went back home and not an hour later he somehow managed to burst the fluid sack and blood and fluid just poured out for what seemed like 10 minutes.  I called and they said bring him in immediately and they would re-suture the opened wound.  Two weeks later he went back for another suture removal and check-up all of which were free of charge.
