    Rhinnies Small Engines
I took the lawnmower in March 22. They said it would be done about April 4. Called AFTER April 4 and they said it would be early the week of April 17. Went into the shop today - April 18 and they said it would be another 2 1/2 - 3 weeks. Have to mow my yard, can not wait. Picked up my mower, no charge, but their reputation is deserved.

    BATH POWER EQUIPMENT

Bath Power Equipment saved a John Deere Gator CX that another big equipment company in town basically wrote off, telling me the engine had no compression. I could just tell by the other company's body language that they were not interested in drilling down into the problem. I let the Gator sit for a few months, then just for kicks, took it to Bath Power Equipment for a second opinion. Tyler at Bath tested the Gator engine, found excellent compression and after quite a bit of detective work, discovered that the Gator only needed several minor parts and a tune-up. Three months later, my Gator still runs great, even in the horrible winter cold. Tyler demonstrated wonderful persistence and communication skills as he worked through the problem and kept me up to date. Thanks to Tyler and Bath Power Equipment, I saved a lot of money by not having to make a major equipment purchase right then, allowing me to save for the eventual acquisition. I already buy equipment like lawn mowers, chain saws and leaf vacuum/shredders from Bath Power Equipment, and they always take time to show me the ropes. Bath = great products and great people.

After having multiple mowers and snow blowers worked on by Rhinnies, I am fed up with their lack of competence and lack of professionalism.  The folks that run the place and their employees have absolutely no customer service skills.  They don't get things fixed like I ask and I end up making multiple trips to get it right, since many times the phone goes into answering machine mode.  The latest episode - they said they sharpened the blade and the oil did not need to be changed.  I then told them (they should have asked) it was the first oil change and besides I asked specifically that the oil be changed, as the warranty requires a first oil change early-on.  I took my snow blower in two years ago because the electric starter dd not work.  They still have not been able to get that right (it is a new Troy Built!), so I gave up.  I feel I am dealing with folks with no competency and will no longer do business with them, which is sad, as they are around the corner from me, and the other options involve a drive.

    Fixin' Lawnmowers
Brent is a technician that works out of his home. His honesty and integrity and attention to detail is simply not obtainable in almost any service industry you can imagine. The advantage to his home workshop is that you don't have to pay the overhead of a storefront, employee payroll, etc.
I took my high-end Toro lawn mower in for a tune and oil change but he actually could and start it up when I got there. As it turned that it needed several parts, a new battery, oil exchange tube and everything short of a rebuild.
At the end he actually did several things that most repair shops wouldn't bother with including clean the machine completely, provide a folder with serial numbers part numbers and maintenance information and then finally a follow-up phone call a few days later to make sure it was running well.
because of how  impressive the service was I asked him if he rebuilt any other machines or appliances. Unfortunately he just focuses on lawnmowers and small tractors.
I can say that after 40 years of having lawnmowers and tractors repaired I've never had a more attentive detail oriented and speedy service ever. I will never have to ever use anyone else.

    RG Small Engine Repair
This is a guy that repairs lawn mowers out of his home which means you don't pay the high price of a storefront facility that has rent and a building to support.
He is rated as an "A" on Angies list so I took that at face value.
Took my high end 4 year old Toro lawn mower into him for a tune up and parts only to find he couldn't even start it. By the time he went through it, it needed a charger, battery, oil tube, oil a tune up, filter and cable adjust. I thought it was going to cost as much as a new one but he charged a bit over two hundred dollars and was immediately able to get all the parts including a couple that were half priced because they were used. He did it in two days.
In return the lawn mower was like new. Everything was perfect and unlike any other repair shop he even washed and buffed it plus gave me a folder with the repair detail, serial numbers and everything i needed to keep it going in the future.
I have had lawn mowers and tractors for forty years and been to all kinds of repair shops. His service was well worth it and at this point I wouldn't any lawn mower anywhere else. He is as honest as can be and unlike so many out there will not pad his bill because he can.

    Dan's Small Engine
Great experience overall. They were good about communicating what needed to be done and how much it would cost. They were even willing to stay a little later after I got caught by a train on my way to pick up the mower. I would definitely recommend them!

    Dan's Small Engine
Fine, They said it would take two weeks and it did. The price was about what I expected. They were responsive and kept me in the loop. The repairs worked. The owners and employees are smokers and have animals, so if you have allergies, that might be an issue, but it does not appear to interfere with their ability to get the job done. This place is very out of the way, get good directions.

    ARIZONA TREE AND TURF
PROMPT, THOROUGH JOB. THEY WERE A LITTLE ABRUPT ON THE PHONE AND IN PERSON, BUT THAT DIDN'T GET IN THE WAY OF ANYTHING. THEY HAD THE WORK DONE WITHIN THE TIME FRAME PROMISED AND CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE IT WAS READY AS THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD DO. I WILL RETURN NEXT SPRING TO LET THEM WORK ON MY LAWN MOWER.
