    HERRERA'S APPLIANCE
I called Herrera Appliance after having a nightmare with several other companies. Zoltan, the technician, arrived the same day. He was contracted to install a new washing machine which I had been told was needed. He looked at my machine before replacing it and repaired it immediately and saved me $800. I highly recommend this company It was a pleasure doing business with them..

Scheduling logistics went well. I was not able to fully demonstrate issue when arrived (it was intermittent). Paul quickly and efficiently disassembled the dryer. Showed which parts were defective and was able to demonstrate how they were defective. Completed service efficiently at expected price.

    Kevin's Kwality Appliance
Kevin came out to the house as arranged. He was not finding the issue and decided to check the electrical. One of the legs of our 220 outlet was not working and so the unit could not heat up. He found the breaker and it was partially off. He reset it, and the dryer heated up. He also noted that the venting was in dire need of cleaning and that we needed to take care of that right away.

Already knowing the part that was in need of replacement I left a message with that information when making the appointment but when the technician arrived I was told the info I left wasn't received so he had to leave and come back with the part - obviously adding to the service time. Otherwise the technician very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly.

Great! Josh found the problem quickly, but.unfortunately the necessary part was no longer available for our old dryer. It was the switch to make it stop when the door opened. He offered to bypass the switch for us, since we have no kids around.

    Sears Appliance Repair
The service provider was immature and worthless. He told me he had been doing the job for 12 years so he knew what he was doing. He was inside my house for all of 3 minutes total. When I gave him the parts he only used one. He didn't explain why he didn't need all the parts when I asked. I was never given any paper work so I have no idea what his name is.

    SEARS
The repairman showed up promptly. The fan blade he brought was too large for the unit so he took the blade that didn't fit, trimmed it down, and stuck it on for another temporary fix. He told me the fan blade housing unit needed to be replaced and ordered a new part. This was supposed to be a fix from Jan 27th but now it's Feb 8th and I have to wait another week without a working fridge. When the parts arrive to my house I'm supposed to call them again to have them come out for a 3rd time to repair the fridge. I currently have to go through their insurance company to repair the wood floors they ruined. The repairman was polite but since he wasn't being paid he didn't seem to care to fix something correctly. So two weeks later still living out of a cooler.

    Sears Appliance Repair
I made an appointment and waited a week for the repairman to show up between 10am and 2pm. He showed up around 1pm. The salesman was very nice but showed up in a van with different markings than Sears. He inspected my fridge and said the condenser fan motor was out which I had suspected. He had no parts so he left to get one. The old fan blade was so brittle when he went to replace the motor the blade broke. He then informed me that he had no new blade and would have to order one. He then installed the broken blade back on. The fridge at that point made a horrible noise because it was out of balance due to missing one of the 3 fan blades. The repairman then inserted some cardboard so the fan housing unit wouldn't shake as much. He told me the new fan blade would arrive on Monday and showed me how to install it myself so I could save money by not paying Sears another $99 service fee. This appointment was on Jan 27th so waiting until the 31st seemed like an ok solution. I paid the repairman $263.30 in cash and received my receipt. However, the new blade arrived on Saturday Feb 4th an entire week later. While I was at work the fridge stopped cooling and defrosted my entire freezer. I came home to a pool of water in my kitchen and was forced at 3am to clean and dispose of my thawed out beef. I lost about $200 in groceries in total. I have no idea when the fridge broke down and how long my fridge was pouring out water. The fridge side was blowing hot air so all that food had to be thrown away so my family wouldn't get sick from bacteria poisoning. Now the wooden floor is destroyed. It's warped and ruined. When the blade arrived it was not the correct part. The blade was so small it would make contact with the housing unit and wouldn't turn. I called at 10am on Superbowl Sunday Feb 5th and after being transferred and hung up on multiple times a very nice lady set up another appointment for Feb 8th for another repairman to come perform the original service repair. I also now am waiting for Sears insurance to come out to tell me what they're going to do to repair my floor. I do not know how this is going to turn out but it's been a nightmare so far. With the days I have to take off work now for these repairs plus the repair fee I've realized it would have been easier and cheaper to buy a new fridge. After they are finished I will never be using Sears Home Repair again for any services offered.

    Tubby Appliance
Excellent. Reasonable price, quick service, everything works great. He found parts of clothing clogging a filter drain inside the washer door seal and showed us how to keep it clean. Would have never known that was something to watch for. It's been at least 6 months since service and everything is still working perfect.

    August LTD
I called after seeing the great reviews and the Angie's list discount and prayed they could do it for less than our last repair (300$!) and on the same day, a tall request to fill. They answered the first time I called and scheduled me in for same day! Let me know they would be running about 30 minutes later than expected a couple hours before the appt. Arrived right on time, if not a little early. Got right down to diagnosing the problem and let me know that it was indeed our element, again. Our previous repair man charged 300$ for the first replacement of our heating element/labor. He showed me the receipt for how much he paid for the part and told me he wouldn't charge me a dime more than cost! I paid 90$ for the call/labor and another 85$ for the part. Instead of charging me for new sensors he politely asked whether I would like to reuse the old ones or pay for new ones while giving me his honest opinion on what he would do. He cleaned up and even swept my laundry room. Extremely polite and very professional and knowledgeable. I am a loyal customer after this call!
