    Sun Mountain Automotive
Ben was very professional. He looked at the service schedule and performed everything as needed. There were some items on the dealer's and quot;Premium Serviceand quot; schedule that just were not necessary at this time (e.g., replace radiator cap, replace engine drive belts, etc.). The dealer would have had me replace a half dozen unnecessary items at 30k and at 60k mi that would have cost me over $1000 each 30k interval. Ben recommended that we look at these items again at the next service interval. I trust Ben's professional opinion and will follow his advice as I continue to have his shop perform all future maintenence on my vehicles.

    LAFAYETTE IMPORT MOTORS
They are reasonable, good and they stand by their work. If they don't do it right the first time, they do it as many times as they have to do it to get it right. It is very difficult to get parts for a car that old. They charge about a third of what a dealer would charge. They are good so they are busy. They can't always get to me like a place that isn't good. They are usually booked up for the week by 10 am on Monday morning. They are not as fast as other people but they are better. They are real people that stand by their word and they make things right.

    Foreign Automotive Specialists Team
I sent this email to F.A.S.T. two months ago, and left a voice mail message for them as well, and to date, I have not received a returned call or email:
"Steve and F.A.S.T. Team,My name is Mark Harper, and I am a customer of yours. I have brought in my car and my wife's SUV. I'm a big fan of Angie's List? I use it to find great businesses (as I did with you) and I in turn like to submit feedback for others to see. However, I have held off on writing a review of my last experience at F.A.S.T. because I don't want my disappointment of my
last visit to t**** other people's view of you, but unfortunately, if I wrote an honest review of my last experience with you, that is what my review would do.
My last experience wasn't a positive one, but up until this past visit, I have been pleased with your work, pricing, service, and promptness of work. I also am a business owner, and if we fell short in pleasing a customer, I would hope that that person would
let me know (before letting the world know through a post on Angie's List, Facebook?). So that is what I am doing by extending this courtesy to you.I will try to be as brief as possible while still conveying the story? In the second week of June (the 14th), while in the midst of Denver's heat wave, I called, set up a time to bring my car in as my AC had started making a funny noise, and on that arranged time, I brought my 2001 Audi A4 Quatro to you. After taking down the passenger side dashboard panel, you saw the faulty part and deduced that the AC motor need to be replaced. You ordered the part online, gave me a quote, I paid for that part and we scheduled a time for me to come back for the repair on Monday, June 17th. On the 17th, I dropped my car off that morning with the communication from you guys that it would be done by noon. I scheduled with a co-worker to be dropped off at your location at that time. However, when the part arrived, and your technicians prepared to install it, you realized that despite having previously taken the time to take down the front dash panel, that the wrong part had been identified, and the wrong part ordered. I then received informing me of this issue, and letting me know that I would be without my car for the entire day and that my quote had now just been increased. Even though that wasn't the news that I wanted to hear, was all of that was still understandable. What I found to be unacceptable was that not a single person expressed or communicated to me any sort of
remorse for the increased cost, the additional loss of time, or convenience. So at the end of the day, and after arranging for one of my employees to drop me off at your place, I arrived, settled up the tab and was handed my keys. But there was no attempt at a face to face explanation of how it was diagnosed wrong in the first place (on June 14th) despite having had the car for a sufficient amount of time to make that diagnosis. There was no offer to eat the difference in the price of the part (which wasn't drastically more), no offer to reduce the labor charge, to throw in a free oil change? Nothing! There wasn't a "sorry", or a "thanks for your understanding.". And then to top it off, I called you later that week (twice), left a voicemail once and left a message with a person once, both times asking for a return call from Steve, and have yet to receive the courtesy of a returned call.
This is why I am disappointed in my last experience at your shop. I hope you can understand this and I hope you appreciate me expressing this to you in this personal manner instead of airing this frustration on one of these public forums (Angie's List, Demand Force?). I understand that you guys are busy and that your 8-5 hours are usually consumed with caring for your client base, of which my wife and I are a part of, but I would appreciate an email or a call back to discuss this matter. Both of my vehicles are due for oil changes but I am holding off on bringing my vehicles back to F.A.S.T. Until I have heard from you and this matter has been discussed.I am an easy man to talk with. I am not hostile or unreasonable. But I do require the basics of communication and courtesy. Thanks for hearing me out and for your prompt attention to this matter.
    Best Regards,
    Mark"

I do not recommend F.A.S.T. to anyone.  They say that "Service is King", and since this shop places such low importance on service, that leaves them as nothing more that clowns.

    STAN'S AUTOMOTIVE
My wife and I have used Stan's several times over the last few years for our 2003 Nissan Xterra and 2007 Pontiac Vibe. Most recently, one of the Vibe's fuel injectors stuck open, flooding the cylinder with gas and effectively disabling the car. We had the Vibe towed to Stan's, who relatively quickly diagnosed the issue and recommended what was needed to address the problem.
As the overall recommendations were to change the oil, fuel system clean, and check the catalytic converter the price for service started to climb somewhat quickly. They were very helpful in working with me to lower the overall bill by advising me on performing some of the work myself (such as the oil change and fuel system clean).
The next time we have a preventative issue or acute problem crop up we'll be running our cars by Stan's.

    Eagle Service
He's a really awesome guy, he works alone. The best thing I can say about him is he's honest and he's great. Both of our cars have 150,000 miles on them. He's done everything from changing oil to rotating the tires to stuff that I don't anything about. Sometimes he'll charge us $5 for something so I know he's not out to get rich at our expense. He's very friendly. He'a slways good in getting us in when he says it'll get done it's pretty much done.

    LAFAYETTE IMPORT MOTORS

I needed to have the transmission replaced.   I started with asking a number of the transmission shops local to boulder about the prices and everyone came in around $2,000 for a standard job.     I wanted to do more off road, trail work and wanted a heavier duty transmission.    The specialized shops wanted around $3,500 for this and I decided to purchase a specialized transmission off the internet.  I went with performabuild's product and now had to find someone to handle the removal of the old transmission and the installation of the new one.     I explained this project to the guys at erie import auto and they were willing to help.   Normally these shops make their money off the replacement parts as well as the labor..however these guys at erie import auto care were willing to do just the work and handle all the details of the shipment process, the warranty checklists, the installation checklists, etc.   As well as performing the work of rigging the auxillary transmission cooler, and a number of other details.
The van is working so well now, increased mileage, smooth shifts, etc.

They could have sold me pads and other services but they told me i only needed the rotors.  They gave me an accurate estimate and delivered the vehicle to me in clean condition on time.  i felt the service people were courteous, understanding, and quite knowledgeable.

    McClure Services
He does his work from home but we have known him since he used to own Baseline Auto Sales in Lafayette. He is a very kind man who has been working on cars for years and is very honest as well. If there is something he thinks someone else could do better he will refer you to the best around. He provides the best prices and does the best work we have experienced. Call in advance so he can schedule you in!

    Autosport Werks
I had a coolant leak, and I thought the worst. It turns out the only problem was a leaky coolant reservoir tank. They replaced the tank and flushed the cooling system for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended if you have a VW or BMW.

    Coopers Automotive
Considering the fact that I have a Volkswagen, I thought the price was very reasonable. The people who work there are very honest and reliable. They had done a couple of little things to my car in the past and not even charge me for it. This place does get booked up, so I recommend that you call for an appointment first.
