  • Great, Professional job. Felipe Oronia the crew foreman and his crew arrived when they said. The job took two days. The kept the work area clean. The crew finished the job in the two days required. Well worth the price and I would recommend them.

  • An appointment was made for Daniel to come out on Tuesday afternoon, arriving sometime between 1:00 and 3:00, with a call to be made to my cell phone a half hour before his arrival. When I arrived home around noon I opened the basement door and the odor was gone. After a week of dealing with it that was quite a surprise. Daniel called right around 12:30 and said he should be there by 1:00. He arrived just a few minutes early. He was clean cut and wearing black jeans and a pressed shirt, very clean and professional appearing. He didn't smell any bad odor either but used a sniffer tool that would identify any sewer gas leaks. He was diligent and checked all the joints in the drain, sewer and vent lines. Nothing. I was prepared to have him scope the sewer line anyway just to rule out a problem, but he didn't think that was necessary. He suggested we wait instead and see if the smell comes back. If it does we can then call them to return and do further testing. Total charge for his service call? ZERO! Not even a trip charge. When was the last time a service professional made a house call for free? The entire experience from the phone call to see if they might be the right company to handle our problem to when he left our home was perfect, from start to finish. They may not have made any money from us this week, but you can bet we will call them the next time we have a plumbing or drain problem! I also sell real estate and am always looking for good partners to refer to my clients. Guess which company just moved to the top of my list? It's been a very long time since I've had a wow experience with a service company but they knocked by socks off.

  • They seemed to be very attentive to any of the concerns I have. I think they were kind of pushed by schedule quite a bit, so the first day they came in and they tore out the garage floor and they put in one sidewalk. So, in one day they tore the garage floor and poured the sidewalk. That evening we had a hailstorm and immediately called them, they showed up the next morning. They said that they can patch it up but I wasn’t too sure about that. They wound up tearing it all out. Then they moved on to the driveway, but they were still trying to make their two-day schedule and my impression was they got a little bit behind. The concrete was coming and their guys were scrambling like crazy to get the driveway in. So, I’m not a 100% confident that they got all the reinforcement in correctly, et cetera, but I didn’t get to see it, so. I inspected the forms and it was all fine, but I didn’t see the reinforcement. Their pricing was a little bit than the others. They knew what they were doing as far as concrete work.

  • The process was almost painless.? I was provided with two invoices to address the issue.? The break in the sewer line at the city's line was billed as one item and completed on the date of purchase so the original home owner was responsible for the payment from the sale proceeds.? He also suggested that I run a PVC pipe inside the original line from the house to the junction which allowed for access to the sewer line from the outside (rather than inside the house) and addressed the increasing tree root problem.? This was billed separately as my expense but completed at the same time.? I went to the closing on my new home while the sewer line was being repaired.? Everything was done before I arrived at the house after the closing.? I would recommend Afford A Rooter to anyone.? I had to replace a sewer line at the previous address which cost me more than $18,000 and still never worked right using a different company (who is now out of business).

  • Mike came out to look at my outside drainage issues as well as the shifting foundation in my basement.
He was SO very kind and patient with me.
What I was so amazed by was his willingness to TEACH me and share his expertise, all at no cost to me.
With his help I learned so much!  He went above and beyond to explain what I could do on my own to rectify some of the issues.
I am a teacher and on a strict budget.  Mike's time and expertise was giving freely from his heart.
How refreshing to work with someone who clearly cares about my finances and didn't want to take my money
or sell me services not needed at this time. WOW.

  • Terrill came out and inspected my sump pumps.  We had a miscommunication on the date and time and he changed his schedule so that he could make it out to my house, even though he was in the middle of another job.  He offered to do the job free of charge, but I needed a receipt to show the people buying our house.  He discounted the visit from $195 to $95 because of the miscommunication.  He was efficient, professional and very nice to work with.  His report was detailed and exactly what I was looking for.

  • They are very professional and very good at what they do. Josh came out and did the initial video inspection of our sewer line and found that our old clay sewer line had multiple spots where it was caving in. He gave us options to replace only the bad sections or replace the entire line. We decided to replace the entire line so that we would not have to worry about it again. The crew came in the following week and did the excavation and sewer line replacement all in one day. They arrived at around 8:30 in the morning and were done by 4:00pm. They were very professional and other than the 4 ft strip of dirt through the yard where they excavated you could not really tell that they had been there. They left the yard in very good condition and cleaned up very well. They have a very fast and efficient process for doing this and they keep your out of service time to a minimum. Once the job was completed they came back the following day and did another video to inspect the work and also because we needed to inspect our interior sewer lines underneath our basement floor.
During the video inspection of our under slab sewer line they discovered that the old cast iron pipe had a section that was rusted out and should be replaced. Once again, Josh gave us the option of replacing just the one section or the entire line underneath the concrete slab. We decided to replace it all, so we could have all new sewer line and not have to worry about it again. Just like the first crew that came, the crew that came to do this job was very professional and had us back in service in one day. The job did take 2 days to completed because there were some complications connecting the inner sewer line with the outer line and then they had to pour the new concrete but they were able to keep the sewer line connected when they left for the evening so that we still had service. They worked through the problems and were able to get everything working.
Pipeline is great at what they do and they complete their jobs quickly and efficiently. We now have piece of mind, knowing that all of our sewer line is in good working condition and we were very happy with their services.

  • I called numerous companies for a quote to replace my sewer line out to the street after a pipe was discovered broken.  I called  Appletree and talked to a representative (I am not putting his name down) about replacing the pipe where it was broken and replacing it out to the street also.  I asked if they subcontracted any of their work (ie the excavating) and was told they do not subcontract out and do all the work themselves.
I was told they could get someone out today to dig the hole where the break is and could get permits and complete the work on Monday.  After talked to several more companies, I called Appletree back to let them know I needed to talk to the rep ASAP and they said he would call me back.  He did not call back.  At 3:00 there was a man in my front yard who spoke only some English.  I thought he was from another company out to give an estimate and I went out to talk to him.  I kept telling him I needed an estimate and he just kept telling me they could do the work on Monday.  He could not give me any estimate.  I asked him what company he worked for and he could not tell me and kept telling me the name of some company I had never even heard of.  I went inside to call one of the companies I thought he worked for and looked out and 3 of them were digging up my yard.
I went out and stopped the surprised workers and finally found out they was there for Applewood (but had been subcontracted out.).  I called Appletree and told them what happened (there were people digging without ANYTHING IN WRITING or permission from me).  They said the rep would call me right back to straighten this out.  Not only did the rep never call me back, but neither did anyone from the company!

  • Terrill came out a few weeks earlier to evaluate the situation and help us find the best solution to our sump pump issue (it was spraying water onto the adjacent wall). We decided to have the job done on 12/15/2012 at about 10:30am. Terrill was running late as he was out getting supplies. Very professionally though, he called and e-mailed me re the delay.
Once the job was started and we reevaluated as to where the pipes should come out, (so we don't have hazardous situation with ice build up on the driveway and sidewalk), everything went smoothly. They were done in the amount of time he qouted us. He charged the original price we had agreed on although the work was more extensive.
He gave us recommendations re redoing the sump pump pit and gave me a price quote if he were to do the job.
Overall it was a very good experience.

  • We hired Terrill because we needed a sump pump expert, not just a plumber.   our sump pump was improperly dumping into the sewer system and we wanted to correct it without flooding the neighbors or ourselves.  He made suggestions for landscaping improvements to resolve our problem, and designed and new and proper system for our house.  Along the way he made several suggestions for ways we could work on the project ourselves and lower the cost.  He also pointed out some problems caused by water (concrete cracking, foundation movement) along with potential solutions.  Terrill's expertise and dedication are invaluable when dealing with water problems!
