  • Paolo and his crew were a true treat to work with. We have been doing a full house addition and remodel, and after having several setbacks, paolo and his team came in and were able to totally redo siding, trim out a covered patio, replace gutters and paint the house. They bent over backwards to make sure 1) things were done in the right order (even coming out for 1 random day to do facia before my roofers came out and put a roof on the house) and 2) Make sure that I was happy with the end product: consistently telling me "We want you to be happy- you have to live here, so lets make sure we get this right." The two man team was here long hours over a couple of weeks, always was sure to clean up well in the evening and left the house very clean at the end of the project, and were courteous to anyone else here, collaborated well with other trades, and were kind to my kids (super important in my book!). After dealing with a lot of trades during this project that were mediocre, un-responsive, and some down right rude, it was a breath of fresh air to work with someone who did excellent work, had good follow up, and listened to my ideas and made them come to life. I would highly recommend.

  • Thanks to Scott and his team, we have our new dream basement!! Scott is a very unique professional. It’s unlikely that you're going to find a GC that is a top-notch interior designer and has 30 + years in the construction industry with deep vendor and subcontractor relationships. He designed every aspect of our basement. Scott helped pick out carpet, paint, wood flooring, wall texture, door hardware, cabinets, granite, etc... and we LOVE it. Scott knows how to design high-end living spaces and he delivered for us. Scott has a solid team of sub-contractors that he's used for years. They know how to get the job done and they'll deliver. It doesn't always go perfect as he'll tell you, but Scott does a good job managing his people, correcting problems, and delivering on expectations. Scott is going to be more critical of his subs work than you are as I've witnessed. Scott didn't like the way his mason completed our stacked stone columns. He made the owner of the mason company show up on a Saturday morning and he and the owner worked through the challenges to make it perfect. He holds their feet to the fire to get it right. He won't stop until you're happy. One of his subs told me "he's sweet to his clients and tough on his subs". I've found this statement to be true. This is our second job with Scott as our first experience with our overhang was superior as well. We trust Scott with any construction project needs we have in the future. I would highly recommend Scott for any basement, deck, overhang, or general living space projects you're looking at completing. A few tips: For the best working relationship with your GC, set all expectations up front and as things change in your mind make sure they're communicated clearly and right away. Don't assume anything. Scott doesn't read minds! If you don't say anything, that's on you, not Scott. Be flexible. Sometimes what you have in your head is not feasible or practical. Scott will be honest with you on what will or won't work. Be open minded and consider all options. Work with Scott collaboratively and you'll come to solutions that you'll be satisfied with. Treat your GC with mutual respect. If you're the type of home owner that complains, finger points, and generally enjoys beating up contractors, consider doing the project yourself or not at all. Nobody deserves that kind of treatment including you if the roles were reversed, right? I would encourage you to do your best to avoid this kind of behavior throughout your project. Scott will do anything to make you happy, but be reasonable. He can't move heaven and earth though he may try. Think about what's fair before you ask him to move mountains and consider putting yourself in his shoes first before you judge a situation. All GCs - the good ones anyway - will have multiple projects going on simultaneously. If you're the only job your GC has, then I would be worried. Scott will be responsive, but he can get busy just like you. He'll do his best to get back to you right away, but if he doesn't don't blow a gasket. Practice patience and empathy. Know every job is important to him. If you feel like you're in need of more attention, let him know. He's very good with open and direct communication. In short: 1. Provide clear expectations and good communication before, during, and after the project is finished. Never assume. 2. Be the best partner you can be. See Scott as a partner and work with him collaboratively on your project. 3. Practice patience, empathy, and flexibility with all parties through the duration of the project. We are all human beings and mistakes happen. Do these three things and you'll have a positive experience with any GC. You'll also raise your chances of having a fantastic outcome with your construction project as my wife and I did. - Mark

  • Our decking foundation was starting to slide and cause unevenness in the main decking. The Add-A-Deck crew looked at the issue, came up with a very solid and cost effective fix. The quality of the final solution was nothing short of impressive. Everything is back to looking as it should and I believe it will be a long time before the deck will need repairs.

  • Pete Mueller was very responsive, and professional. He came out and we spoke about all I wanted to do. He gave me prices, and I decided to do everything. His team was reliable, and friendly. I appreciated their tidiness, and professionalism. They did an excellent job, I was very pleased, and will use them again.

  • Legacy Concrete knows what they are doing. They have a huge crew who work very well as a team. They are very efficient, they work hard, they ask you questions and they make sure they know exactly what you want. They did a fantastic job. They finished the job in just a few days and our patio looks fantastic. Their pricing was competitive. We love our new stamped concrete patio.'

  • Stellar charged me $959.00 to stain my small deck. Less than a year later, the stain they recommended was coming off in large sheets from all parts of the deck and railing. I called, and Devon, their field representative, said they don't warranty decks and would not offer any remedy other than to suggest that they come out to redo the deck at $45.00 per hour per man under the maintenance program. I declined since their initial work was totally unsatisfactory. I would not recommend Stellar Painting to anyone.

  • I contacted the provider to get an estimate regarding out back patio and patio cover. I explained why we were searching for a new contractor, because our old one we had to fire after he ruined our house and was supposed to do our back patio and did not. The owner Rob said sorry to hear about your frustration however advised me never to tell another contractor my issues regarding why we were looking and what the prior contractor did. Also he mentioned that his usually job cost about $5K and our did not seem like it could reach that. He has missed the boat on the job as the patio is very large and so it the patio cover, so this is his loss. Also he has now missed the opportunity for future work with my other projects and others I work with that have numerous landscape jobs. I would never recommend this contractor to anybody, since he is trying to make sure no one ever knows about bad contractors. Make me wonder if he has done the same thing to others as my old contractor did. Do not use this contractor.

  • I'm selling my house and needed a great looking deck to help solidify my asking Price. Lucas got the guys here fast, tore down the old deck, and built the new one. It looks great! They provided an estimate up front, identified issues as we encountered them, and let me participate in picking the solution. Simple and painless.I now have a great deck and increased property value. I'm happy.

  • Sidney appeared to know what he was doing and suggested repairs to my deck after it was damaged by hail.  He wrote up a bid and I called to accept it.  He said it would be 3-4 weeks.  I have not heard anything from Sidney yet.  He doesn't respond to voice messages.  Very poor customer service.

  • Lucas called me back the same day and actually came over and did the work the same day! He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We worked through the problem and got to work right away. I am very satisfied with the outcome and would recommend Roundtable Construction anytime.
